I was excited that they accept different packages for to be dropped off (which is weird being so close to FedEx (two doors down)), so I came here with my prelabeled UPS shipment. When you walk in (probably for COVID protocols) there are a set of arrows on the ground directing you to the ship counter (to your right) and another set of arrows directing you to the sip counter (straight ahead). There are also items for purchase throughout the place - cards, mugs, little knick-knacks, etc. A very small store, but I would find it cute and quaint. They offer lots of beverage options and even a small pastry collection to choose from on the sip side. Today when I was in there I ordered a snickerdoodle latte (12 oz) and it had a very subtle flavor of snickerdoodle. Also it was $5.06 and yes, they took cash! I had exact change so I don't know if anything else would have been an issue. Fantastic service from both counters. If I have a package drop off again I will be more than happy to return and grab a coffee on the way out!

Love it! I was staying nearby and was looking for a breakfast joint and a quiet place to gather my thoughts. S&S was right across the street from me. Such a unique concept. Why rush through the day? Come it for a sip (oh there's food too), write a note, fuel the body, then send that note out. Greet upon entering by Diana, who is so welcoming that even if you are undecided, her gentle smile and manners will draw you in. She said there was fresh scones today and that thought drew me in further. I'm a sucker for scones so after my classic breakfast, I had that scone and it was good. The classic breakfast sandwich was served hot and the ingredients tasted "healthy", if you know what I mean. The selection of cards were also very good. Where else can you find a card that said "someone in Ballard loves you"? The sign outside is appropriately worded "Mail made fun! Your modern day post office" sip shop shop.

However, their 2/25/26 IG post caught my attention with regards of their version of Cafe Besalu's ginger biscuit. Direct quote: "reimagined by our talented baker Emma in our little bakery corner. She's perfected the texture, warmth, and that signature ginger sparkle." Some background info: Cafe Besalu was a beloved pastry shop in Ballard from 2000 - 2017. When the original owner and his family moved to Spain, the shop was sold to Herkimer Coffee, which then later closed the site permanently in 2023. Their 3/2/26 IG post literally got me in my car..."Flaky. Buttery. Perfectly spiced with that subtle ginger warmth that makes you pause mid-bite. This isn't just a cookie. It's a little Ballard classic - now freshly baked, ready, and waiting for you." I was able to get a parking spot close to the shop, never been until that morning. I was literally floored that this indeed had shipping and retail areas, but also an actual cafe with onsite seating - cafe tables and a window facing counter. But oh my what stopped me in my tracks was seeing the pastry case. I haven't seen such a lovely display in awhile. It seems most places, product are stacked, messy display case trays full of crumbs and pastries askew. Clearly head baker, Emma, takes full pride with the variety of baked goods nicely curated. I was told that the ginger biscuits were just pulled from the oven an hour ago. I purchased two of them and also one each of the peanut butter cookie and ginger molasses cookie. Heavenly scents permeated my car as I drove back north. The ginger biscuit had a nice tender, moist crumb. The Homie savored this the same day and brought him back to his childhood. I ate mine the next day and it was superb. Perfect distribution of the candied ginger warmth and that notable bejeweled top texture. Delicious! The ginger molasses cookie had that perfect balance of crisp edges and moist chew. The sugar exterior literally sparkled when I photographed it while on a road trip stop. The peanut butter cookie was ginormous and was very delicate. It had broken into five pieces. It was relatively thin, had a sandy texture, and subtle peanut butter flavor. The Phinney Ridge - Greenwood - Ballard neighborhoods has quite a collection of indie cafes and bakeshops. I'll have to say that Sip & Ship in Greenwood provided that gotcha moment with their high quality, fresh baked goods. Note to self - they have shipping and notary services too. But those baked goods....definitely, I'll be back!

Customers can use Dockside Solutions as a private P.O. Box (like "Mail Boxes, etc.," "Ballard Mail," etc.) or if a customer is cruising on their boat or traveling in their R.V., Dockside can open your mail, scan it, and send it to you via email. They can also forward mail to you wherever you may be in the world. In fact, you can do almost anything here that you can do at the Post Office or Federal Express without having to stand in long lines. When I got my mailbox a year ago, the other private mail reception services had a long waiting list. The wait time ranged from 2 to 6 months before I could get a mailbox. Dockside has mailboxes available immediately, and they are priced 25% to 33% less than the other mail reception services. Needless to say, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dockside Solutions for all your postal and forwarding needs.

They receive our mail for our business, no problem. They forwarded the mail for our business, no problem. When asked, they hold the mail for our business, no problem. I can't really speak definitively to rates, as we never shopped around (my wife was eager to support the owner Lisa when she opened Dockside's doors), but other posters have said the rates are competitive, and I am prepared to assume they are. Highly recommend.

I have been coming here for over five years and I actually created a Yelp account specifically…read morebecause I saw all the reviews personally singling out one staff member unfairly. These negative reviewers are just being MEAN! The man they are griping about is not rude, he just has a quiet and reserved demeanor. He has always, always dealt with me patiently, courteously, quickly and professionally, he knows exactly what he's doing, he's the knowledgeable one the other staff members turn to when they need help, he has never hesitated to help me problem-solve and has always come through for me. Without him this store would likely not be half as awesome as it is. Complainers seem quick to point out a person's country of origin while knowing nothing about how challenging it can be for people from another culture to adjust to all our direct eye-contact and fake banter, and I can't even presume to know if that's the story and I don't think anyone here does because hello that's personal. Maybe he's just a quiet person! Is that so unforgivable? Did he do his job professionally and efficiently? I'm guessing he did. Did he kowtow and act like your "bestie?" Hello, he's not your maître d', he's shipping a package for you. If gushing, phony-smile customer service is so crucial in your opinion then go ahead and dock a star, but leave a one-star review??? One-star reviews are for places that rip you off, or don't honor posted hours, or get prices mixed up, or have consistently unsanitary conditions, or staff that don't do their jobs... does this store really deserve to be ranked among those? We all know there's a certain segment of overprivileged reviewers who seem addicted to abusing Yelp for their own petty sadism. If I was behind the counter having to wait on such people, I'd be annoyed, too. Did somebody come here during rush-hour and have to wait in line? Oh, the injustice! Was it during the holidays, perchance? Did the staff not bring refreshments and hot towels? How long was the line? four-deep? Five? I've almost never had to wait in line here, and when I have, the line is normally not more than two people ahead of me. My longest wait was during the holiday rush, and I think that was only six people ahead, and again, that was during the holiday rush. This store is always clean, the shelves are always stocked, the staff are professional and competent, they explain my options clearly, and they always come through for me, whether I need to have a package wrapped and shipped or need to do Amazon returns, which I do frequently, and which they handle lickety-split with no trouble whatsoever. I repeat, I do Amazon returns here frequently, and it has always, always been a breeze. I'd like to also highlight a bonus in that this store has unusually good greeting cards. If you want something more interesting than the generic fare, give this store a try. The only drawback in my opinion is the lack of parking, but that's just how it is in Fremont. Five stars, no complaints.

Always efficient and friendly! Been here many times to ship my own packages and to do returns, and…read morewill keep coming back :)
