I found this little Gem when I got lost and took the wrong exit, but lucky me. First off, let me start by saying the food was filling. Easy parking lots of seating. It's outdoors, but it's cute. They have two blowing fans up high, so it's comfortable while you eat. Also, they were so kind to offer me a little mini fan hooked to the table, which was so cute. I enjoyed the cold glass bottle of Coke, which was chilled and good while we waited for our food. The chips and salsa were good, and they had a kick to them. I put extra shrimp on my order, but it was worth it. They do have drinks if you aren't the designated driver. You should go if you are in the area or want something fresh and filling. Been waiting for this place to open like FOREVER. We had been huge Singhs fans since it was a food truck once upon a time when Hills & Dales was still a motorcycle dive bar. It's quite the concept especially for San Antonio. It is a "cantina" aka bar. It's a bar top that you can see into the kitchen- cool concept. You pick your vessel and your protein. The good- full bar, limited menu. The spicy cucumber salad was delicious and would have again. The oh-no: all outdoor seating, in the dead of summer or winter it may be a problems, limited menu- sadly their famous spring rolls didn't make it on the menu and neither did their wings. The brisket sandwich was not how I remember. And the salad with the curry pork is not what I expected. The pork is a green curry and when that's on top of a salad it does not look appealing. It also has a dressing that soaked thru the bowl. They had nice selection of alcohol. I had the frozen drink that was too sweet. Seating- there an about 4 tables that are under the shade. The rest are out in the opened. Plan is to get umbrellas but for now you're under the big hot Texas sun. There are 4 bar stools that are affixed to the floor but are almost too far from the bar so if you are in the smaller side can be a problem when trying to eat. Stopped for lunch and the food was amazing! The staff were friendly and service was quick. Plenty of seats in the shade, but more shade will definitely be needed as summer approaches. Note: this location has a different menu than the OG location. read more

As a Singh's loyalist who has eaten there at least once a month for the last 5+ years, I was very excited and curious about the cantina. If you're expecting the same menu, sorry. There are some similar items but I guarantee you will find something delicious. I love the crispy shrimp from the original menu but I was happy to try some new items like the brisket rice. I miss the wings and ribs but the chips and queso was delicious. Service was impeccable as always, so friendly and helpful. The location is spacious with plenty of parking. All tables and benches have umbrellas and there are several oscillating fans above the bar table so there's a breeze and shade everywhere. Sure you may feel the heat but get you a cold drink, catch a vibe and relax. We were not disappointed and we will be back. read more

4 stars for price but 5 stars for food. We usually opt to order online and take it to go. The location is cool but small. Best bahn mi I've had in San Antonio. More expensive than I would like but that's just life with eating out these days. Still always delicious and I never regret it. Looking forward to trying more things from their menu. read more

I was really excited for this new location of Singhs to open! I love their original location on N. St. Mary's but this is closer to me. The menu is not as extensive here, but they still have Banh Mi sandwich which is what I usually get. Pointers: -Lots of parking available -No indoor seating -Some shade and a fan -Nice volume-friendly music -Super friendly service -12% fee on order (they called it a dine-in surcharge or something like that but I think it's more of a fair wage / baked in tip kinda thing?) Vegetarians: I enjoyed the vegetable bahn mi which had cauliflower, mushrooms, carrots, jalapeño, cilantro, onion, cucumber, (daikon? Not totally sure but it was tasty!) I miss the tofu but so happy they had something vegetarian. Congratulations to them, overall great experience with a really nice vibe. read more

While this place has moved from a food truck to permit location, the restaurant ambience was not expected, totally out doors and walk up ordering. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, explaining the menu and helpful over all. Bathrooms were great and overall a good vibe experience. 12% service charge and menu prices did not reflect the true cost of the food provided. The rice bowl with added pickled onions and hot oil and a double malibu and Mexican coke was $46.00... good flavor but overpriced. Hopefully with more traffic and clientel, they can lower prices. read more

I don't like to write bad reviews because I think it's hard starting a business, but I was really put off by this place. I went last night ordered a chicken rice bowl that came with carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, and few other veggies, a chicken lemon grass sandwich, and two drinks and it was $73. They don't post their prices on the menu. Then he says we automatically add a 10% tip to. What? You didn't serve me, I ordered my food and took it to a bench and ate it. There were flies everywhere and just an open sand field behind. I just cannot recommend this place. The chicken was dark meat. The food was okay. Their prices were ridiculous. read more

We live in the neighborhood so we brought our teen kids for dinner. Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. It's a casual spot with only outdoor seating but the decor is great. The food was great. I'd go back for that for sure. My issue was we sat at a table and saw they had online ordering. As we were waiting for a friend I figured it would be easier this way. When we went up to get the food the staff was ok. They honestly looked like they were hot from the weather. But as we sat down there was a ridiculous amount of flies. There was only so many things out for some of the tables to stop the flies from coming but there wasn't one on our table. The staff never offered us one. We did however see them bring one out to another table that ordered at the bar and then pick up one and bring it inside when another table left. Felt like we were wrong for ordering online but we had never been there before. I even tipped on my online order and after the way we were treated it made me regret tipping. read more
