I got the lamb masala lunch special and it was tasty and flavorful. They came with 3 complimentary sauces, tamarind and a chutney and 1 more I'm not sure of. The portion of meat was on the small side but very tasty. My one issue was I asked for medium spice; it was extremely fire hot spicy and I'm a pro. I can't imagine what that next level up tastes like but I'm scared. Be wary that most people should start on the lowest spice level. I also got the Paneer Naan and veggie Korma. The store was small and had a waiting area with a few chairs, a kiosk to order and a bar style table to eat in if you're solo or a party of 2, but it's clearly intended as a takeout restaurant. Prices were moderate and on par for Needham. I will definitely be back and I'm looking forward to trying more menu items, especially the Biryani.

Food was packaged well and secure - important for this cuisine as you don't want to lose any of the sauces! The food portions are really good and pricing is pretty reasonable given the times, and pricing of similar restaurants in the area. More importantly, the quality and tastes of the food was exquisite! Good Indian food takes time and care in preparation to ensure the flavors are balanced with properly prepared ingredients. The texture of the meats and veggies were spot-on, with great balance in flavor. It wasn't overbearing and I think their flavors are flexible enough to cater to most palates. The chicken 65 was surprisingly not soggy, given this was take out. The butter chicken was so creamy with generous chicken pieces that were tender but not falling apart. You can even specify the spice level for most dishes. Overall, Chennai Eats is a wonderful addition to the local community.
