Not impressed. We Ubered Masala Chai and Ras Malai from here. Masala Chai was pretty much milk only - hardly any Chai or Masala. Ras Malai was good actually. The packaging of Chai was good to make sure barely any spill but they need to work on ensuring that Chai isn't just milk mixed with tea leaves. We visited with friends who live in the area and they recommended this place. It's located in the heart of Norwood center so close to other little shops, spas and restaurants in the area. We tried various pakoras, samosas, momos, naan, chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, vegetable briyani, and every dish was memorable and delicious, with the food coming out piping hot and promptly. The service was great and seems like a really nice family run restaurant. The restaurant resides in a large building with a blue awning so it is easily visible from the road, with on street (or side street) parking nearby. We had a great time and can't wait to come back here and try other dishes. read more

Absolutely amazing meal!!! Delivery was fast and the food was hot upon arrival. I had the Chicken Tikki Masala (best I have ever had), Garlic Naan (yummmmm, especially for dipping in the Masala) and the Chicken Samosas with the 3 incredible dipping sauces. Wow!! I can't believe I didn't try this place sooner! I haven't had Indian food for a long time, and this place didn't disappoint! Price-wise, Indian food is certainly more expensive than Chinese takeout, but it's indeed worth a treat! If you order a curry entree, it comes with balsamic rice. The biryanis comes with yogurt, and the naan come with dipping sauce. The food is delicious. I like the chicken tikka masala and the lamb vindaloo. The lamb curry is a little too salty. I wish they have butter chicken. I tried the basil garlic naan, which is okay. I'd just stick with regular naan or garlic naan. While you don't get leftover for days like Chinese, the curry still hold up the flavor the next day. When you go inside, there is a pickup counter with plexiglas. They have plenty of tables for dine-in as well. Just be mindful that when you place an online order, it takes an hour to prepare/before you can pick up. So the earliest lunch pickup time is 1:30 PM. Just make sure to plan ahead! The online order system is very easy. It will charge you $2 convenience fee, but go support your local businesses! read more

This is the best Indian food in the area. It takes some time because everything is made fresh, but it's more than worth the wait. We had samosas, lamb biryani, chicken vindaloo and garlic naan, and it was all fantastic. Service was friendly, and the dining room was clean and comfortable. Norwood Spice is a relatively new addition to downtown Norwood. The ambiance is unassuming--you walk in to a takeout counter and there is a modest Formica-forward dining area to the right. So it's not much to look at, but the food is excellent. I left stuffed and satisfied. They're still working on building an audience--they currently have a $15 rebate promo running on the Upside app if you dine in or do your own takeout and pay with a card enrolled in that app. From the sound of insistent notifications coming from the kitchen, they may also be doing an app-based delivery service but I haven't found them listed on the usual app-based services. read more

I tried this place a couple of times before giving this review so here it goes. Let me get the elephant out of the room. There's no dine in available so your options are limited to take out or delivery. That being said, I'm sure you won't regret either of those two options as the food was fantastic. We ordered tangy gold tenders, chicken tandoori, samosa chaat, naan, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala and lamb roghan josh. The entree come with rice as well. They also offer some fried papad which was a nice touch. The portion size is good and the food is tasty. The price is also decently priced. The overall Indian food isn't that spicy but it's flavorful. Called to ask to have my order canceled only to be told the owner is the delivery person and would talk to me when he arrives. Once he arrived all he did was gaslight me. We went there for my birthday and i was very disappointed. we arrived at 7:30 for dinner and they closed at nine but they brought our food and takeout containers and plastic silverware trying to rush us out. The owners daughter was playing a video game in the back booth and it was very loud, and I had to ask the owner to ask her to turn it off. it took a while to get our food because they had so many takeout orders in front of us. I would think the customers in the restaurant would get priority over takeout customers. The food was not great. The dining room was lit brightly with fluorescent lights. I would pass on this restaurant and go to the restaurant in Norwood called 1947 much better food. read more

My wife and I found this place through my daughter and her boyfriend. The first time we went with them and then we have gone 2 more times on our own. We have to say, the food was excellent!! Each time I bought the lamb tikka masala and my wife had chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and vegetarian samosas, and we really, really enjoyed it. An added bonus is the fact that the food is reasonably priced and so are the drinks which made our experience better! There is a lot of takeout, but we enjoy eating at the establishment. Portion size is decent, and we end up with leftovers which heats up well the next day (including leftover naan in the toaster oven). We highly recommend this Indian restaurant. I ordered take out for a specific time. I got there right on time and it was ready which was good. The got tika masala and it was pretty solid but not the best I've ever had. I ordered is extra spicy and it was spicier than most places give which I thought was great. There was plenty of meat but I didn't think it was great in taste. A little overcooked I think. Have had 2 experiences here. First time the food was great. The second time was tonight... ordered takeout at 6PM and went to pick it up an hour later as instructed, and it wasn't ready yet. So they told us to wait, so we waited. And waited. After another half hour learned that they gave our order to someone else who "was bringing it back." ... which is gross and not acceptable. Finally! Reasonably priced Indian food that delivers to Dedham. I found this restaurant on an ordering app, but it wasn't even on Yelp yet. I tried it anyways, and I'm glad I did. I liked them so much I sent a request to Yelp to add them. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan and the appetizer sampler. It was all great, and I would order them all again. The delivery took a little longer than the app said (1 hr 15 min vs. 50 min) so just keep that in mind. They are new, and I do live in a different town so I'm totally fine with that.
