We love Coriander! Their lunch buffet is outstanding and reasonably priced. Great variety and the food is exceptional! Friendly service and very clean and comfortable inside. We've never had to wait long for a table around lunchtime, which is great. I only wish that we lived closer, so we could come more often. Definitely make the stop, it's excellent! read more

Love this place--the chicken tikka is wicked good. I usually grab two orders plus garlic naan and honestly, the food never disappoints. But today? First real hiccup. Called ahead, double-checked my order--two tikka, garlic naan. Lady on the phone repeats it back perfect. I Show up, and there's only one chicken tikka. Not two. Just... one. Kinda threw off my whole dinner plan. Service is usually fine, but that thick accent makes phone orders a gamble. In their defense we did arrive for the lunch buffet at 2pm but most of the food in the buffet was room temperature or cold, which seemed like a health dept concern to me. I used to love going here - the taste of the food was better and the buffet was in big beautiful brass urns with covers to keep everything warm. The server was very attentive and nice but I honestly expected to get sick from this poorly managed lunch buffet. One customer repeatedly returned to the buffet with his dirty plate and no one confronted him. It is sad that it just isn't the same experience. read more

This place use to be great but it recently was sold and has new owners and the quality of the food has gone down. The staff has also changed and they seemed to be very confused about what's on the menu. The restaurant was cold and had no lights on. It was like eating in a cave. Other than the food being just okay, another reason I will not be going back again is that I had a $25 gift card but said they will not accept it. Though they kept the same name and same menu but they said it's under new ownership and will not accept gift cards. I would understand if they changed the name and would not accept the old restaurant gift card but they kept the same name. This gift card was also only a couple months old so it's also not like I was holding it for years. I've enjoyed the lunchtime buffet in the past, and I look forward to a dinner order as an occasional treat. As part of that meal, I've liked the chutneys provided as an appetizer. However, I've noticed that under new ownership, the chutneys are not always provided unless you specifically ask, and even then, are not always available. This restaurant is incredible! The food is fantastic, everything we've ordered has been absolutely delicious! I've only gotten to try the buffet once, it was delightful and I will absolutely be coming back for more. I'm especially grateful for the incredible staff! We're new parents and have come here many times with other new families, and all the servers have been patient and thoughtful and gracious when it comes to the babies. Today our server Nisha was so attentive and sweet and helpful, I felt obligated to run home and leave a great review and mention her by name. We went on a Sunday night around 7;45 (they close at 9:00) and got un welcoming looks from the staff since it looked they wanted to go homeand there were no other customers.Usually the food is good,but this Sunday the food and service were both bad.We had ordered the dinner for two vegetarian package.The Naan was dry and cold and the Navratna Korma was tasteless and it seemed the cook had forgotten to put salt in it and I asked for salt to get some taste out of it.The color and appearance,texture of the curry of Navratna Korma & Paneer Taka Tak looked almost identical. In past,they have cheated by not serving all that is supposed to be served in the dinner for two package and sure enough this time also they did not serve the Raita (yogurt) and we had to ask for it. At the end,they did not bring the tea which is supposed to be included.When my wife asked for it,the server said they don't have it and then changed to say they don't give it anymore in the package. Fair warning to all who order package meal deals, make sure you get everything that is supposed to be served.I used to recommend people to go there but not after this experience. read more

Sadly, Coriander Bistro has new owners, and the restaurant has changed for the worse. I've been there 3x since it changed ownership, and I'm not sure whether I'll go back. Today, the heat was off (the plates and flatware were sooo cold!), the lights were off, and the music was off. The food at the buffet was also not plentiful -- they ran out of rice and only 1/2 refilled it, and we even had to ask for naan. Only 2 other parties were in the restaurant with us at 12:30 PM, which definitely tells me that others have noticed. This place used to be packed for lunch buffet on a Saturday! Service was incredibly slow and inattentive, which is very odd because 2 servers were present and only 3 tables had diners. I'm so disappointed! This truly has been my favorite restaurant for several years, both before and after they were closed for 6 mos in 2023. I may have to try eating here again in a few months, in hopes that they get it together. read more

I first came to Coriander long before the COVID pandemic and I really, really liked it. As did many others, as demonstrated by the throngs of people who showed up for their scrumptious weekend buffet. Then came COVID, and I as well as some friends were counting down the days until the end of the buffed-lockdown madness of that time. We couldn't wait for the day Coriander reopened the buffet. But this actually took years to happen! Many other Indian restaurants brought buffet back, and I called the manager at the time (Raj) on a regular basis. He told me of plans to have it return "eventually" (their dine-in and takeout menus came back soon after pandemic waned), but it actually took a change in management to bring buffet option back. I never understood the rationale for not bringing back buffet, but I know the restaurant business is tough. I am happy to report that the buffet is even better than it used to be! I have been there at least three times in the current iteration, and honestly it is among the best buffets in Massachusetts. I am now plant-based, so it is more challenging to find choices I can eat and enjoy. Today I was a bit worried, because no dal or chana (or malai kafta) was there, but the nice server pointed out they had mulligatawny soup which is a lentil and very similar to dal. I hadn't realized this, and the mulligatawny was on point (and great with rice too). The Aloo Simi was also delicious, the marsala tea quite tasty, and the garlic naan (ordered without butter) was fresh and delightful. A variety of other popular dishes are always features, and the staff here are upbeat, pleasant, and helpful. This is one of my favorite two Indian restaurants and I look forward to returning regularly! read more

Met my friend for lunch- we were happy to see they offered a lunch buffet! The food was delicious! They had 3 chicken offerings and the tandoori chicken and chili chicken were excellent! Veggie dishes, a fish dish, and other meat dishes were in the buffet as well. They had samosas and pakora and lots of rice. Very friendly- brought us hot, fresh naan. It was too hot for soup today - but the coconut soup smelled delicious. Fresh watermelon and a special dessert rounded everything out. Loved! Will be back. read more

I really want to give this local establishment a great review. We have had positive pick up and delivery services in the past . The dine-in experience , however, was not so great. It must have been 90 degrees inside the restaurant and the smell from the kitchen was just too much to take . Maybe their ventilation system was broken ? The service was also very slow - as if they could only handled DoorDash orders and ppl dining in were ignore . It was so uncomfortable in there that my daughter had to step out before finishing her meal and waited for us in the car. read more

This place beats out a lot of the competition in Indian food. For an app, we got Vegetable Momo dumplings (identified as 'Nepali' specialty). These were truly excellent and not at all what they look like in the photos, i.e. frozen wontons. An interesting mix of sesame flavor, tomato, and fresh veggies. If I had to criticize, I'd say I would wish the portion size was just a little bigger for this app, given the price. However taste and quality in this and the other dishes were excellent. For mains, I got Lamb Kabob and the wife got Chicken Tiika Saag. The lamb was tender nicely marinated, generously portioned and covered with fresh cilantro. Wife's chicken was also quite good and portions were good. The meat was tender, tasty and not greasy. Another thing I liked about this place was they provided the Basmati rice at no extra charge. Many places would charge extra. They also threw in a couple of Papadum crackers and the three chutneys that you often get when dining in at an indian restaurant. Even though this was a minor detail, the chutneys had a fresh taste, not a cheap canned taste that you'll often find in the average Indian restaurant. So yeah, I thought this place was pretty damm good. Really a 4.5 stars based on our experience. I think this might be my new go-to place for Indian. read more

Huge fan for years We definitely miss our family Saturday and Sunday buffets, but we have continued to order from Coriander and are super glad they are around. Came here for a work event with my work fam. Cozy place to come with a big group, with nice ambiance and overall pretty chill. Even before you order you get hit with some appetizers which is crispy roti with chutney, mint sauce dippings, which are delicious. I remember for the main dish I got the Tandoori Grill which came with a bunch of tandoori meats and vegetables like chicken, lamb, onion, etc. Great flavors overall. I'd like to try and come back to have some of the more saucy dishes as well since I generally like that a lot, and people seemed to enjoy the tikka etc. very much. For about $15 you choose between samosa or pakora, 2 main dishes either veg or meat, rice, nan bread, and a dessert. A bottle of Poland Spring is $1 and on the table when you are seated. I have tried this place a few times and wanted to give them a chance before writing a review. Unfortunately I've been disappointed with my food several times. It's not necessarily bad just not to my liking. When I order Indian food I want a lot of flavor and spice. The first time I ordered from Coriander there was some flavor but no spice. The second time I specifically wrote to make it spicy and there was still zero spice. One of my favorite veg dishes is matar paneer. The paneer and flavor was yummy but the peas tasted like over cooked frozen peas. There are better options closer to me! We have tried: chicken tikka masala, naan, vegetable pakora, and matar paneer. read more

We ordered medium spicey both times and it was excellent - a little spicier than previous "mediums", but just the way we like it. On Sunday we ordered chicken saag, lamb korma, and lamb rogan josh - all excellent, as well as veg pakoras and onion kulcha bread. The wait staff was very friendly as well. Awesome! Winny our brilliant NY Life Insurance agent asked me where we wanted to eat. She was buying and we could have eaten anywhere however I didn't hesitate to say Coriander as this Indian buffet is so satisfying in every way regardless of the ridiculously affordable cost. I was salivating with anticipation and went very light for breakfast. We arrived at 12:30 and I was happy to see the cozy restaurant was not crowded and we sat ourselves. It's well staffed and service was good. Food was better. I did a solid 2 plates and sampled everything including the soup which was excellent. I made sure I took pictures of each section which had large labels as you can see. I was impressed with the curry goat which had large chunks of meat and not just bone. The vegetable pakora a fried fritta delight and the triangle meat and veggie filled samosa were amazing as apps. The garlic naan was terrific. Mixed bean curry, aloo simi a potato dish, saag paneer basically a spinach blend and the mixed vegetable novartna korma were A+ on the veg side , the chicken chili ( not hot) chicken tandoori and the chicken tikka masala which I heaped over the basmati rice were solid A's. A little rice pudding and a galub jamun for desert finished this meal off on a sweet note. I'm of the feeling this will be a weekly feast for me when in town. read more

We were in Norwood for a skating competition & found this Indian restaurant by chance. Had such a lovely dinner a few days back & came back again for lunch the next day. Humble owner ... very attentive & hands on. At dinner they messed up on our order & there was a bit confusion. It was a bit frustrating but the food made up for it. We enjoyed our meal. This is our third time at this restaurant and we ordered the same thing each time: vegetarian dinner for two. So filling, great price and great food! The samosas and the mulligatawny soup are SO delicious!!! The naan was thin and nicely crispy. Our main dishes, saag paneer and veggie korma were freshly made, not heavy and very tasty. this is probably my favorite Indian restaurant in the south shore area. been here once for take out and once for dine in. did the dinner for 2 combo both times and is a great value to try a bit of everything. it comes with 2 entrees and a whole bunch of other items. went for the lamb curry and lamb tiki masala. for roughly $60 we always have left overs for a 2nd and even 3rd meal depending on how much you eat. food is filling and tasty. i just wish the curry was more spicy. maybe i gotta specify Indian spice or something since i have a high spice tolerance and prefer the kick. overall nice little spot if you are craving for Indian food. read more

Overall everything was hot and tasty. They had a really good potato dish that I can't remember the name of, but I went back for seconds. Overall, for $10.99, I was full and satisfied. Coriander recently reopened after extensive renovations. We have been dining here for many years, and the new owners continue to provide excellent quality of Nepalese, northern and southern Indian entrees. The owner is a chef and his friendly family members wait on diners. The menu has expanded, and we spent some time before ordering Samosa, Masala Dosa, Sambar soup, and Baigan Bharta. All dishes were freshly prepared and delicious! Save room for the Kheer; I still think it's the best in MetroWest. Prices are very reasonable for freshly cooked entrees. There is seating for about 40 at tables well spread out through the dining area. There is a public parking area nearby. We will definitely return to try some of their newer entrees! read more

Wow! I am very impressed with this place! My friends and I came here for a birthday dinner and we left the restaurant in a food coma cause we couldn't stop eating! The food, service, and ambience is absolutely wonderful. I am a pescatarian so I would recommend the fish curry or palak paneer. A friend of mine ordered the chicken tikka which she lived!
