What better way to end a lovely evening with a lovely lady, but with a lovely view and some fantastic drinks? Holland, like the country, greeted us and set us up for the evening. Holland brought great energy, and was super welcoming. They even offered us drinks on the house for the engagement. She had the Late Summer Margarita, refreshing and sweeter. We shared the Thai Tea Banana Colada. Definitely the sweeter side, but couldn't pass up the opportunity. My recent visit to the legendary Sinatra Bar and Lounge left me with mixed emotions. While the ambiance and live music were undoubtedly delightful, the culinary offerings, unfortunately, fell short of the high standards I had come to expect from a fine dining establishment of this caliber. Regrettably, the seafood tower, a classic favorite, was marred by some inconsistencies. The oysters were inadequately shucked, and the shrimp were overcooked and insufficiently cleaned, detracting from their natural sweetness. Similarly, the thick-cut hamachi crudo was somewhat heavy-handed and lacked the finesse expected of this refined cuisine. While the kitchen commendably brought out a fresh batch of shrimp, the inconsistency in execution left me questioning the kitchen's attention to detail. The steak, too, was a letdown, with excessive fatty content and several large pieces that required excessive effort to consume. However, credit must be given where it is due, and the spaghetti squash was a standout dish executed with exquisite precision. The flavors were impeccably balanced, and the texture was truly mouthwatering. It was unfortunate that this dish was relegated to a mere side dish, as it was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. The service was pleasant, with Maya standing out as a particularly gracious and attentive server. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant was not up to the high standards expected of a fine dining establishment. Dirty wine glasses, silverware, and excessively wrinkled tablecloths detracted from the overall experience. I was disappointed a manager did not make a stop at our table during our dining experience. Moreover, the seating near the kitchen proved somewhat bothersome, with the wait staff frequently bumping into our chairs with little apology or regret. Despite these shortcomings, the exceptional live music and overall charm of the restaurant warrant a visit, albeit not as a destination for fine dining. While the Sinatra Bar and Lounge may be an excellent choice for live music and cocktails, I cannot in good conscience recommend it as a premier fine dining establishment. read more

Absolutely delighted to share my experience at Sinatra Bar and Lounge! From the moment I stepped in, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that felt like a journey back to the glamorous 1950s. The attention to detail in recreating that era is remarkable, making it a feast for the senses. Let's talk about the food - oh, the food! The pasta dishes are nothing short of incredible. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and rich in taste. It's evident that the chefs pour their heart into crafting these dishes, and the result is a dining experience that's a true delight. And the drinks? Smooth doesn't even begin to describe them. The mixologists at Sinatra Bar and Lounge are clearly masters of their craft. Sipping on their cocktails is like indulging in a work of art that's been expertly crafted to please the palate and soothe the soul. What truly sets this establishment apart, aside from the fantastic food and drinks, is the meticulous attention to recreating the ambiance of a bygone era. The decor, the music, and even the subtle lighting transport you back in time. It's a haven where you can escape the present and immerse yourself in the elegance and charm of days long past. The staff, too, deserve a special mention. Their warm and attentive service added to the overall experience, making me feel like a valued guest. It's clear that they take immense pride in ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and leaves with memories to cherish. Shout-out to Chaz! In conclusion, Sinatra Bar and Lounge is a gem that offers not just a meal, but a journey. It's a celebration of the past, a delightful escape from the mundane, and a sensory experience that leaves you wanting more. If you're seeking a place where exceptional food, impeccable drinks, and a truly magical ambiance come together, then look no further - this is the place to be. read more

We came here after a fantastic dinner at House of cards. Both are run by a well regarded operating company, ICON. My girl had an eye for some desert at Sinatras and touted the location. Sinatras however missed the mark. We had reservations for 9pm and arrived 5 mins early. We did not sit down until 9:40. At one point the manager tried to seat us at the bar, only to advise he was mistaken on having an opening. Not the worst situation, but it continued. We planned to order 3-4 desserts and perhaps 2-3 drinks each. We barely got a drink ordered when we did finally sit. No desert menu and server advise he would return to discuss deserts. When we received our drinks, both were OK. Mine was a sinatras special with champagne - but it reminded me of robotussen. Hers was a tried and true espresso martini. Still no desert rundown from server. Honestly rubbed us the wrong way when both interactions with our server was him openly advising his priority on another table and advising as such. Sat another 10 mins or so waiting for information on the dessert menu and frankly gave up. Drinks were not on point, server and service was borderline insulting, quality of interactions was low. Think it hurt my gf more than anything as she really wanted this to be a great spot. We left a tip and robotussen and went to the secret bar, think Noelle? Down the street. Really hurt this place was so poorly managed. Was hoping for - really expecting - excellence. read more

We recently visited Sinatra Bar & Lounge with high hopes, but our experience was disappointing from the get-go. We were seated at a tiny corner table in the cramped upstairs area, overlooking the stairs. It was both surprising and disappointing that they would even consider seating customers in such a poor spot. The constant traffic of waiters running up and down the stairs made it difficult to enjoy our meal. While the drinks were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed them, the rest of the meal was underwhelming. The meatball appetizer was incredible and one of the best meatballs I've ever had, but the main courses were a letdown. The rabbit was cooked well but rather bland, and the Ragu Pappardelle didn't live up to its price tag. The Crispy Duck Confit Potatoes were good, but overall, the food didn't justify the high cost. Service was as good as could be expected given the limited space on the second floor. Overall, the experience was not worth the $300+ price tag. For an equally fun atmosphere, better food, and better service, I would recommend visiting Jeff Ruby's instead. read more

Took my wife out for date night to Sinatra last night. Here's the honest run down: -Atmosphere: Perfect. Small, intimate, not too noisy, the music was tasteful but not overbearing so that were able to have a conversation over it. It was very pleasant. -Food: Really good. Not cheap. They make you pay for bread and butter ($8) which always pisses me off. If were paying $25 for a martini and $75 for a steak, how about you throw in some bread? Mushrooms and creamed spinach were great. -Value: Good for a rare treat, otherwise its too pricey compared to other great steak houses in town. I'm sure we'll be back. We had fun! read more

There were still a couple of people at the bar and a few tables with guests finishing their meals, so nothing immediately indicated that we were arriving near closing time. The hostess was very friendly and seated our party of four right away, but she never mentioned that the restaurant would be closing soon. Had we known, we would have gladly chosen somewhere else to eat rather than risk feeling rushed or unwelcome. The ambiance was nice, and we each ordered a cocktail. Unfortunately, our experience with the service was disappointing from the start. Our server seemed visibly annoyed with us and had an attitude that made us feel as though we were an inconvenience. I understand that being seated with a table near the end of a shift can be frustrating. I've worked in the service industry myself, and I know what it's like to be sat late in the evening. However, that comes with the job, and I would have much rather been told upfront that the restaurant was closing soon so we could have made other arrangements. We were visiting from Nashville to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were looking forward to a nice dinner to kick off our trip. Unfortunately, the food was a mixed experience. I ordered the turtle soup and prime rib, requesting the prime rib medium rare. It arrived medium, if not slightly more well done. While the flavor was good, it was not cooked to the doneness I had requested. The turtle soup was also excessively salty, and everyone at our table agreed. My wife ordered the beef en croute, which was cold in the center, although the pastry on top was cooked nicely. Our friends ordered the lamb and halibut, and both dishes were prepared well and enjoyed. For a restaurant where we spent over $400 on dinner, I expected a much higher level of food quality and service. Mistakes can happen, and I understand that no restaurant is perfect. However, the combination of the unwelcoming service and the issues with several dishes made for a disappointing evening. What made the experience especially frustrating was that this was supposed to be a special dinner to celebrate our anniversary and start our trip on a high note. Instead, we left feeling disappointed and as though our business was an inconvenience. If the restaurant was closing soon, a simple heads-up when we arrived would have gone a long way. We would have understood and happily taken our business elsewhere. The following evening, we dined at Sinatra's and had a fantastic experience, which made the contrast even more noticeable. Overall, the ambiance was pleasant, and some of the food was good, but the service and inconsistency in the dishes fell well short of what I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. When spending over $400 on a dinner for a special occasion, you expect to feel welcomed, enjoy a well-prepared meal, and leave with a positive impression. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and this restaurant was a disappointing way to begin our anniversary trip.

It was a Wednesday night, so it wasn't busy at all. First of all, the Hermitage Hotel is gorgeous and the decor downstairs is too. Light but not too bright, with very mid century modern vibes. Our server (Zach) was fantastic throughout the whole process. We both started the night with the Milk Punch (sweet, smooth, tastes like the holidays). The table bread was sooo tasty: salty and soft. For apps, we got the egg toast (crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, salty on top, delicious all around), the crispy sushi (the crunch mixed with the soft sea trout was a great juxtaposition), and the summer corn soup (ohhh boy was it good). The mushroom risotto (creamy and lemony) and prime beef tenderloin (perfectly cooked with a great sear) rounded out the meal. We got the side of mashed potatoes too, but it was sadly more like a potato puree than mashed potatoes. We ended with the warm chocolate cake (honestly, not that great. Good enough to finish, not good enough to order again) and the sour cherry pie (liked it way better than the cake, but the pistachio ice cream tasted artificial). The overall experience was truly amazing and worth five stars. And ask for Zach, because he will definitely take good care of you!

The oysters and their accoutrement were SO delicious!! A fantastic chorus of flavors and textures with every oyster. My palette isn't refined enough to tell the difference between each oyster, but they were all phenomenal. We also got the Caviar, the shrimp polenta, and of course, some truffle fries. Genuinely no misses across the whole meal. And our waitress was the kindest woman ever. She explained the oyster meta very clearly and helped us curate truly one of the best meals I've had in Nashville. Would HIGHLY recommend!
