Stone pot Bibimbap / 비빔밥w with beef
Jerilyn A.

Me and a couple of girlfriends visited Sinabro on a Thursday night. I found the service to be friendly enough but pretty slow. We waited to get orders taken and also a while for things to come out. We got sweet and spicy dumplings for an appetizer and loved them. I wasn't as thrilled about my entree. The server said the stone pot bimbibap would be hearty and it was (I came hungry) but it lacked flavor. The gochujang sauce helped but they only sent out a little bit. I was able to get more and when I ate it the next day the sauce had soaked in and it tasted a lot better. I did enjoy my drink which was the soju bloom. I would try this place again, I think I ordered the wrong thing and maybe it was an off night for service. They had a lot of options that sounded good.

Spicy chicken and Ramen

Went here with a group of people love the place, ambience is great. The noise level was not too loud. Staff was fabulous. Our waitresses name was Cheyenne and she was on top of everything. I got the spicy chicken Ramen, which was amazing. The portion was perfect and extremely flavorful. I got the added fried egg on top, which he gave it just an extra added flavor. Can't wait to go here again with my family..

Holy delicious. This was my first time trying Korean and I will definitely be back. First, the atmosphere was cozy and warm. Perfect for a cold fall day. The waitress was super helpful with suggestions since I had never had Korean. We started with the Duk Bokki and Teryaki Dumplings, both of which had crazy flavor. The dumpling were my favorite. I asked for something warm and filling and the Stonepot Bibimbap did not dissapoint. It came with a spicy sauce that brought it all together. Everything was so good!!

We came here for a lunch on a Saturday, and there were only a few other people dining at the restaurant. The inside is nicely decorated with several different areas of seating and they had a bar. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. We ordered the KFC which came with 4 pieces of chicken that were very crispy and we loved the sweet and spicy sauce in them and Bibimbap which was a huge portion so two people were able to share the portion. Including a soda and a tea, the total came out to about $49 not including tip.

I've put off trying this place because of past reviews but I was surprised at how well the food was. We had pork dumplings and kfc chicken from the appetizer section which was delicious. I had the creamy shrimp ramen and also spicy chicken scallion for the main which were good but the chicken was not that spicy and kind of felt like it was just sweet taste. They should've used similar size pieces so it would've been crunchy as well like advertised. The service was great, the waitress was really sweet and the ambiance was pretty. I will definitely also recommend getting the drinks which were delicious.

Spicy Beef Soup / 매운장터 국밥

We came in a snowy Saturday. All we wanted was soup, spicy soup to be exact. We each ordered something different, so we could taste. They definitely got the spice punch. The cucumber salad kimchi, I think it counts as banchan? It was seasoned very well. We all agreed that it was super good! However, for the buddae jjigae, I wish it were thicker. The broth was too light. Some soup had similar flavor. The soft tofu stew was interesting because it's got smoky flavor. Service was excellent! Great ambiance. Loved the Korean songs played in the background!

Seoul Beef Ramen - not the best pic, but oh so yummy

My Foodie Cuzzie lives in the neighborhood and is addicted to this place. I finally made it here. Walking in I felt the comfy vibe. We were able to get a table for our group of seven. Our server was really nice and helpful with the menu. Since it was pretty cold out, we were all craving tea. I had the green tea served in a cute cast iron teapot and cup. My cousins ordered the Yuzu tea which quickly became their new obsession. To start, we shared some steamed shu mai. Very yummy. That came out pretty quickly after our tea. We all ordered some form of ramen. It took a while to get our food because they were training a new person in the kitchen. We were pretty hungry, but tried to be patient. When our ramen came out, all was forgiven. I had the Seoul Beef Ramen and added an egg. WOW WOW WOW!!! My cousin's restaurant recommendation was on point! Overall, I was a happy camper. A repeat visit is definitely planned in the near future. Hopefully the newbie in the kitchen will have figured out the flow by that time because I will be HUNGRY!

The complimentary kimchi cucumbers were delicious along with the Spicy Bibim Cold Ramen. Super refreshing on a hot day and we loved the flavoring. The place is cutely decorated (especialy seating in the back). Would definitely recommend this place.

Great place to have my birthday dinner! We decided to try this restaurant, as I was in the mood for some Korean food and it was delicious! It was pretty empty on a Thursday evening so we were seated right away. Oh and we parked across the street as there is a public lot but you do need to pay per hour. We had a table of 4, so we just order a couple of starters and entrees to share. Starters: Duk Bokki with cheese - nice and chewy rice cakes in a sweet and spicy sauce cover with melted cheese. This was a great start, it had perfect amount of spice. KFC- 4 piece Korean fried chicken- wings covered in their secret Korean bbq sauce. Sweet and tangy paired perfectly with their sticky rice. Bimbimbap- this was my favorite dish and what I really came for. After mixing all the veggies, meats, rice, it was perfect! Let the rice to burn a bit on the stone bowl for a nice extra crunch with every bite! I really enjoy this dish. We had a few other dishes as well and all of them were great! This place met my expectation and I think it's perfect for first timers and also korean food lovers. Spice level is perfect, nothing was too spicy. Our service was good as well, food came out fast and our server checked on us often. I would come back again!

Sinabro is a cool place to go if you're craving Korean. It has a nice ambiance perfect for date night or a dinner with friends. They have plenty of seating but would highly recommend a reservation to be safe. I got the chicken ramen which tasted pretty good and it had lots of chicken pieces and vegetables which I enjoyed. Their yuzu highball was also delicious and was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The service was fast which made our experience even more delightful.

Budae Jjigae / 부대찌개
Celeste M.

Dumplings pretty good. Buddajigae could have used more beef. There was only like two pieces. But it did have lots of tofu and Spam. On the salty side for me, but very filling and hits the spot if you are craving any sort of kimchi soup. Would definitely come back for their different entrees. Inside was nice w/bar and friendly service.

Soft Tofu Stew / 순두부

After drooling over IG posts since it opened, I finally visited! We were seated promptly, and greeted warmly by our server. While we perused the entrees, we decided to share the fried pork dumplings-crispy & full of flavor! They also brought over complimentary, house made kimchi. SO good I tried to get a container to take home but sadly they'd ran out :( For my entree, I chose the Soft Tofu Stew-it's what dreams are made of! Balanced, a little spicy, lots of flavor. I highly recommend Sinabro if you're looking for an authentic Korean meal!

Dolsot Bibim Bap

It's an OK Korean restaurant. It's clear that there isn't a large Korean population in Milwaukee. The banchan was pretty small and not much to it. I got the Jjam Bong which is a Korean Chinese Spicy Seafood Noodle Dish. The noodles felt like they were instant ramen noodles but the soup was pretty good and the contents of it were good with dduk (rice cake), cabbage and some seafood. The Bibim Bap my friend got seemed to better but the only banchan was this picklish type of kimchi. A Korean restaurant should and needs to have Cabbage Kimchi. We also got the mandu which was fried nicely and pretty good. There aren't a lot of Korean Options in this part of town so if you need korean food this will suffice but if you get to other parts of town I'm sure there are better Korean places around.

I tried their spicy Jjambbogg ramen. The ramen noodles were ok but the sweet and spicy broth was superb.

Ok, so, I kinda loved my experience at Lucky Ginger from beginning to end…read more Myself and my dining companion dropped by without reservations and were able to get a spot at the bar. That said, I'd likely get reservations were I to stop by again. They're a bustling little spot and saw several groups who weren't able to get a table without reservations while we were there. Where we sat at the bar, we were able to see the kitchen and our food (and others) begin prepared which was fun to see (and also nice from a transparency standpoint). Let me tell you--they are hustling in that kitchen! I began with a berry smash whiskey cocktail which was refreshing and fantastic. For my dinner, I got the bbq salmon which came with a salad to start and rice and asparagus on the side. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The only small note I had was I would have loved more asparagus but honestly, I could probably ask for a side of that next time to amp up the veggies. The service was lovely and the prices were reasonable. Get to it!

Absolutely awful service. We came in at around 5:30pm, and the place barely had anyone there. We…read moresaid we didn't have a reservation, so they said we had to sit at the bar. So, we did. But luckily my husband quickly checked well before we were served and saw there were reservations available online, so he booked us one on the spot. We were then given two excuses, one by the bartender and a different one by the host as to why they couldn't honor the reservation: (1) there were no tables available for us (note the place was half empty, but we supposed maybe there were lots of reservations coming later--nope, the place was still half full by the time we left); (2) we had to make the reservations 30-40 minutes in advance and we didn't do that so even though we did have a reservation, they couldn't honor it because we made it too soon to the reservation time (WOW--complete BS). We were peeved but decided we should just enjoy our dinner. BUT as we were finishing up, about 5 couples came in WITHOUT a reservation and both the host and the bartender gave each couple the option to either sit at the bar or at a table. When I confronted the bartender about it, she claimed "they weren't supposed to do that." WHAT?! She literally just offered a couple a table without a reservation. What do you mean?! It was insulting. Anyway, we will absolutely NEVER come back here. The tip we left was solely for the kitchen staff who were hard at work and doing an honest job. Bartender and hosts are discriminatory and awful. Do NOT recommend if you are looking to be treated with respect. Would give zero stars if that were an option.

It can get really loud in here so you may have to shout a bit at your dining party. I would definitely recommend having a reservation. I don't think there was an empty seat in the whole place the entire hour and a half that we were there. Service: Really helpful and kept our waters filled and did pretty decent with the tempo of the meal. The entrees came out before we were finished with the appetizers and with how small the tables are it was an insanely tight fit and basically a juggling act, but that's minor. Drinks: We got the sake flight and I highly recommend this, it was delicious and a good variety of different flavor profiles, yum! Food: We ordered the xiao long bao and shu mei for appetizers. I preferred the shu mei and my partner preferred the xiao long bao. Which was nice that we each had an opposite preference. We also ordered the tonkatsu ramen and the mapo tofu. The tonkatsu ramen was a bit bland and it was interesting with the corn in it...however the chasu pork that topped it was delicious and plenty! The mapo tofu honestly might be the best I've had. I would order that every week if I lived in the area. The spice level was perfect on it with ample amounts of pork (I LOVE spicy food and this was exactly what I was looking for, my partner took one bite and started to sweat so be careful lol). Since I can't find this level of mapo tofu where I live I'm going to add this of things to learn how to cook at home, yay!

I definitely recommend eating them with the vinegar and s side of hot pepper oil. I had the Szechuan beef noodle soup and my daughter ordered the Miso ramen. Both the soups pretty much looked the same. It seem like they use the same broth for both soups. My soup is very planned I had to add the vinegar for some flavor. The food was okay. Service was friendly. The interior is a basic eat in restaurant.

Not sure if it was due to being takeout or they always do it this way, but orange chicken was basically served like sweet and sour chicken with the sauce in a side dish vs being cooked/tossed in it. Mongolian beef again was OK, but nothing special at all. Egg rolls... Got 2 for $8 which seems excessive and on the menu just said "egg rolls" so we were not sure on quantity but being 2 it technically was "rolls" but again, nothing particularly great about them. Not sure if it's representative of their food served in restaurant, but can say based on this I probably will never find out.
