Before I say anything else about this place let me just discuss this: The first thing that I noticed about Berlyn 65 is that the shop smells exquisite! The owner made sure that there is this wonderful aroma as you walk into the place that tantalizes your senses and it made me very content and experience a sense of calm energy. This shop has some real goodies! My eyes were focused on the soft, elegant chair throws! This was so very true that I had to take a picture of the luxurious gray chair throw that is on a chair near the store entrance. The throw comes in a variety of colors and they were valued at $150. The shop decor is delightful which goes with the owner's peaceful energy that I felt was exuded towards me and my coworkers as we looked around Berlyn 65. I knew I had to wait until they opened to check things out in person, and luckily they are very punctual. A surprising amount of people came in at opening - I guess it's a very popular store/location! We were first window shopping around, and it was initially hard to get a staff to help answer a few questions about pieces we were interested in. Finally we got someone's attention and they actually pulled out the entire collection for us to see and ask to try on. It wasn't on display, but as part of the box of pieces that were for sale, I found an adorable ring and knew I had to get it. Unfortunately they had sold out of my size - at the time, my fingers must've been extremely swollen from the heat because my size was way bigger than I remembered it to be. The staff didn't mention anything like that to be wary of, but I felt like they would have known. I left the shop without buying anything but did note the ring I wanted and got on the waitlist online. Eventually they came back in stock, so I'm glad I did go to the storefront to see it in person!

I purchased two name rings late in 2025, I had been a customer at the original location since they opened in 2005 when I was in college! I've bought so many rings from them, many by Wwake but also very nice ones by their in house line. A lot of personalized ones over the years with sentimental value for me. I think quality and production must be way down and I'm worried maybe these rings I have from last year may not even be actual gold. Maybe it's a fault in the design? I put one on and almost cut myself- it had split!!! I was so shocked and reached out to them immediately since this hasn't happened in 20+ years as a loyal customer who recommended their brand, bought gifts for family, etc. I emailed customer service and they said it's under warranty and can be fixed. I felt like that would be okay until I looked at my other name ring, purchased on the same date. I can see a split forming but not complete in the same exact location as the other one!!!!! I don't want a "fix" or replacement anymore unless it's another brand. I'd like my money back, I've never ever had real jewelry break on its own like this and I take very good care of these treasured objects. I can see these will break again and again :( If they can actually give good customer service I'll return as a customer to still buy trusted brands like Wwake but would never buy from their line ever again and can see numerous recent Reddit posts describing Catbird line jewelry falling apart! Sticking to Kathryn Bentley and other cool designers who take more pride in their work. Buyer beware :/

I researched where to go to get my batteries replaced here in Bay Ridge and found nice reviews for Global. I brought two watches to start with to ensure good battery replacement. I met with Elad who quickly repaired the batteries at reasonable cost. Additionally, I returned to sell some gold pieces that didn't fit and some I just don't wear and again was given great prices for selling. Global also sells jewelry such as some Tiffany pieces and other lovely gems. It's nice to know that there is a trusted local jeweler who can assist me with repairs, selling, etc. Elad is very professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend Global Gold and Silver.

I walked into Gennaro Jewelers needing my tennis necklace repaired and walked out with not only a…read morenecklace that looked brand new, but a solution to something that had been bothering me for the longest time. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about my experience here! From the moment I walked in, Eric was welcoming and thorough. He took the time to inspect my necklace and explain what needed to be fixed. I was then brought downstairs, where I got to sit and watch Herman work on my necklace up close on a TV screen. I could see every little detail of the repair as it was happening, which was fascinating! While I was downstairs, Courtney came over and started explaining everything to me. At this point, I felt like I was on a little excursion tour and I was loving every minute of it! She shared how Herman got his start in jewelry repair when he was just 9 years old in Ecuador and how he's spent years perfecting his craft. Watching him work while hearing his story made me appreciate the craftsmanship that much more. My necklace was repaired, cleaned, and polished to absolute perfection. But here's where my experience got even better. While I was downstairs, Diana complimented me on my necklace and the diamond earrings I was wearing. What she didn't know was that those earrings had been driving me CRAZY for the longest time. Because of their size and weight, they would constantly tilt downward instead of sitting beautifully on my ears. It's such a small thing, but when you have beautiful earrings, you actually want people to SEE them! Diana asked what kind of backings I was using. I told her screwbacks, and she smiled and told me to come find her upstairs when I was finished. Well, I did, and she pulled out these jumbo-sized screwbacks and said, "Let's see if these work." She cleaned my earrings, had me try them on with the new backings, and I kid you not, I got emotional LOL. My diamonds were FINALLY sitting upright and looking the way they were supposed to! She jokingly called them the "magic bra" for earrings, which honestly couldn't have been a more accurate description. SOLD! I walked in for a necklace repair and somehow walked out with a problem solved that I hadn't even come in to address. All because Diana was observant enough to notice something and thoughtful enough to offer a solution. That to me is exceptional customer service. Before I left, Eric inspected my necklace one more time and even gave me some helpful advice on how to properly lay and store it to avoid future stretching or breaks. What really stood out to me was how genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful everyone was. Nobody was trying to sell me something I didn't need. They were simply passionate about what they do and took the time to make sure I was happy. I left Gennaro Jewelers absolutely elated. Between Eric, Courtney, Herman, and Diana, what could have been a simple jewelry repair turned into such a memorable experience.
