There was a level of trust established from the very beginning in the way they explained what and how they would be servicing for my watch. I have had my grandfathers TAG Heuer watch broken with water damage for a while now and I have been hesitant to leave it with watchmakers for repair because of the sentimental value of this item. One of my good friends recommended I work with Danielle B. Jewelry even though they were on the other side of the country in New York City. After a quick phone call with Ariel I felt comfortable enough to work with him and he immediately emailed me a fully insured shipping label so I could send him my watch for repair. After 2 days Ariel got back to me with good news and informed me that all it needed was a battery - the movement is working perfectly. When I sent the watch in I expected there to be a lot more work involved to get it fixed and was expecting an extremely high cost to repair this luxury item. I was surprised when Ariel Billed be for just the battery change ($35) and shipping charges. I feel very comfortable working with Danielle B for their honesty and I highly recommend them. read more

"I got you on this one" seems to be what the tool behind the counter prefers to say to his customers. But then, when you really need them to step up and deliver some good customer service they bail on you. Bought a Heuer strap with folding clasp. When installing, a pin in the clasp broke so it can't close. My watchmaker with 35 years of experience did the job and his feedback was that it was a faulty pin and a manufacturing error. Told me to go back and just have the clasp replaced. This fine store then went on to accuse me of excessive force, which is ridiculous. But then said the famous phrase and I thought it was all OK. Then a call stating that Heuer did not honor this as I ruined it myself (not). But offered me to buy a new one at a $20 discount. I have collected high end watches for 20 years (Heuer being entry level) and I have never encountered such a bad customer experience, especially for an item costing $150, opposed to 5-10x for other brands, who will gladly help you to keep you as a happy customer. I recommend to stay away from this pit and go to Heuer on 5th for proper service. Oh, when contacting Heuer USA, they had no problem helping me, so I assume that mr slick here never called them. Decent guy and his helper is nice as well. Only problem when I spend 3000$ on a watch, I expect it to last a lifetime. I bought a Baume and Mercier - Clifton from him. In less than 3 months two issues - watch is moving 3 minutes slow and the chronograph is broken and does not stop. I was in workout gear and after buzzing me in/opening the door for me, the owner did not ask what I needed or even say hello, but just went back to speaking with some well dressed individuals. I stood there awkwardly for about 90 seconds until he finally turned to me and said "yes?" I explained what I needed and he just said "you'll have to come back in an hour, we're doing inventory." I bought a Kate Spade watch on sale from Amazon. Of course when it arrived it was too large and I needed to have some links removed. Danielle B is near where I transfer subway stops so I decided to stop in one day after work and see if they could help me out. The guy who assisted me was very nice and didn't judge me for bringing in a not-super-fancy watch. He took out a few links for me and even replaced and then re-removed one of the links while I debated between two different fits for the watch. He was patient and didn't rush me while I decided. I think he only charged me $5 or $10, which was money well spent to make sure my new watch fit well. Over the holidays I stop in the Danielle B Jewelry store, while my wife was shopping next door. I was met by 2 gentlemen that where friendly and very accommodating. I explained what I thought might be wrong with my Tag, based on a few local jewelers in my state. By the way my local jewelers wanted to charge a fee to just look at the watch. They repaired my ring within a week (and kept apologizing that it took so long due to the holidays). I got my quote for the replacement diamond and it was ready for pickup in half an hour.
