The goats are so silly and fun to watch and feed. The ducks, turkeys, chickens walk around freely and there are two nice dogs. The sheep were resting in the pasture and the cow was hiding out today. There are lots of places where you can interact with the animals or just sit under an umbrella and be entertained by them. It was easy to make a reservation on line, find the farm, parking and the family was welcoming. We will return.

We spent a bit of time chatting with the really nice woman who runs the store at Grace Harbor Farms. The store seems goat milk and products like kefir, kefir being like a drinkable yoghurt that is more sweet than yoghurt and totally tasty. They also carry goat milk soaps and other products, which would make this a great place for gift shopping. This is also a working farm and dairy, so bunches of people working here in the various buildings. We left them to their work. When you get there, there's a small table with walker talkies for you to page the owner. The owner of the farm come out and talks to you about the blueberries and tell you to page him if you have any questions or need any help. The blueberries are beautiful and to me seemed very organic, no pesticides or herbicides seemed to be used. My friends participate in the "CSA" box that this farm offers that delivers a box or fresh vegetables and food to your door and a scheduled regular drop-off. They said some of the vegetables they've never seen before and they love experimenting with different foods they can make. Such a great local farm! Definitely a family friendly excursion!

There's paths to walk, shaded picnic areas to hide under on hotter days, and over 200 animals and birds to view. Horses, cows, chickens, peacocks, potbelly bigs, rabbits, oh and... a ton of goats. One of our favourite parts is the "petting zoo" area where you can get up close and personal with goats who love scritches. The farm hands are friendly, handwash stations are available, and parking is free. What's not to like about this place? I find it very relaxing to be amongst the animals and on a farm when most of my time is spent in the city or glued to a monitor. It really puts things in perspective. In any case, I think it's worth a couple hours of your day to stop by and say hello to some majestic animals.

Inside the shop, there are some local or BC products which will make good gifts or souvenirs. The sorbet and gelato are also great, especially when the weather is hot. I will suggest to have a cooler/ice box in your car if you intend to buy any cheese or milk. I did not have it and the fat/oil from my cheese truffle oozed out onto the lid of another container. Lucky it did not get any messier. But the cheese and yogurt are all good after I put them in the fridge when I got home. Nice place for a stop if you are in the Harrison Hot Springs area.
