Twisted Sisters has a great variety of gifts and many different themes and types of gifts. They have a lot of unique items that I don't see in other shops. One thing I really appreciate about the shop is the people working there are friendly and willing to help you find a great gift for someone. That's rare, in my experience. It's easy to find and it's a convenient location. There is ample parking. The other thing I have to mention is they will add tissue paper to your little brown paper bag and dress it up, if it is a gift and then you don't have to bother wrapping it yourself! That's a big plus for me. It is becoming my go to place when I need a fun and unique gift.

They both looked delicious. I did bring a slice of the raspberry coconut ($10) home for the hubby and he loved it. My high tea had 8 finger sandwiches on the first tier, a scone and clotted cream on the second tier, and 2 macarons, white petit cake, and raspberry shortcake on the third tier. Also while we waited for them to prep our table we shopped in the gift shop at the entrance. There were items that looked like new, some antiques, some clothing, lots of holiday accessories too! I found a small Christmas tree decorated in quilled ornaments. I had to buy one for my wife! It seemed like they were getting ready for some type of holiday open house for the regular shoppers -- there were several women in there all cooing over each other. When I realized that I was the only one being ignored, I glance at my watch to make sure I wasn't there after hours. Sure enough, there were still between 5 and 10 minutes to spare. The owner and/or a couple of staff members had to be there, but none of them said a word to me. The place is a little pricey, but I was dressed well enough to not look like I was too poor to afford anything. There were some really cute items there, and I would have loved to have spent more time looking through them, but I felt so awkward that I bolted. What an odd and terrible experience. Yelpers, if you go here, I hope you don't experience the snobbery that I did! I'm only giving it two stars because I'm sure it has potential based on the merchandise I briefly browsed.

It used to be difficult to find Japanese candy and snacks around Indianapolis, but this store is just one of at least two stores at Castleton Square Mall where you can get Japanese goodies. Times are a-changing, and for the better, especially if it means more places to buy shrimp chips and green tea Kit Kat. BoxLunch is packed with lots of fun stuff, but it's all organized neatly, and the person who worked there when I visited was friendly and helpful.
