I first sent an email, and a week went by without any response. After following up, I was asked for additional model information, which I immediately provided. A week later, I was told the replacement part was not available. I then found a replacement keyboard online and asked if it would work. The answer was yes, but only if a special tool was used, and they do not have this tool. Response received: "That would work, if I had the equipment to heat mold the keyboard in. Unfortunately, the keyboard is attached with melted plastic, not screws, so it requires special equipment. I would need the entire palmrest/upper case to do the repair." Communication was slow, and there was little expressed interest in completing the repair I need.. ASUS has also not been helpful. The result is that I have a 2-year-old laptop that is close to unusable because of a non-functioning "E".

When it came time for billing, I was surprised to learn that a second technician had been onsite, as that hadn't been discussed in advance. As a result, the labor cost came in about 2x higher than I expected. To be fair, I live on the second floor of a condo (with elevator access), and the installation was more complex due to the flooring, so I don't question the time or effort involved. To avoid any budget surprises, I would recommend confirming upfront how many technicians will be assigned to the job. Overall, I would work with Jason again and would recommend him to others. UPDATE- I had a small leak with one of the toilets and Jason came out right away to adjust it. He definitely stands behind his work! I spilled fruit punch on my brand new 2 month old Macbook Air. Juice got inside and my laptop started malfunctioning. :( I poured rice thinking this would absorb the moisture but kinda make the situation worse. I knew this was going to be a very expensive $$$$ repair. I had apple care but of course the do not cover "water damage". I looked up a repair shop because I knew taking it to my local Apple Store would be expensive. I met to wonderful people, Chris & Ellen, they were extremely professional and very down to earth people. They both make an awesome team. My experience there for this first time was awesome. They both were not out there to get my $$$$, unlike other shops, they both looked into all sorts of resources to save me $$$$. When all sources failed, he was determined to help. Chris had definitely went above and beyond his service, he was able to get it running again in less than an hour. I thought I would have to leave my Mac there for a couple days for repair (yikes! its like leaving your baby with strangers) but Chris took care of me & my MacBook Air right away!!!! My brand new Samsung Galaxy S 3 jumped off my truck last week and shattered it's front glass as well as losing it's back. To Samsung's credit when I retrieved and reassembled the remains from traffic it sprang back to life and everything still works. I found Chris on Craigslist and called him for repair advice and he quickly dispelled my fantasy of just replacing the glass. The cost of repair and replacement of parts so far exceeds the insurance deductible that a new one is the only way to go. Chris listened to all of my complaints and gave me good sound advice, which I'm taking. In my view that is the way to do business when you are in it for the long run because people remember kindness and pass the word along. read more

I went in with a shattered screen on my Iphone 5. The service was excellent and the price was really good! Wonderful service. I pulled my iphone (new-ish) from my back pocket & it hit the ground, shattering. The screen went completely black & the home button & my power button wouldn't work. I took my Macbook in to get repaired, i was given a better price than any other location i had called. It is difficult to find anyone that can repair macs here in Stockton, this is a must go to place. The work was done is a reasonable time and price. Chris did a great job repairing my wifes iphone. It was dropped in a puddle on concrete. Broken screen and no sound walking in, oem screen (he showed me the apple logos) and perfect sound walking out. Wasn't sure about leaving it but he pulled out a chair and let me watch. Those screws are unreal small. Took about 45 minutes start to finish. read more
