Favorite salt bread bakery! I prefer the savory items to sweet. What I've tried so far over…read moremultiple visits: - Everything Salt & Butter Roll 5/5 - prefer this one to the original salt roll since the seasoning adds a little more flavor - Cookie Salt & Butter Roll 4/5 - great if you want one with a touch of sweetness - Mentai Salt & Butter Roll 3/5 - personally not a huge fan of mentai since I find it a little too fishy - Spicy Curry Pan 5/5 - SOOOO GOOD highly recommend this! It is a little spicier than expected. I also want to try the regular Curry Pan - Oyaki Pork Shumai 4/5 - good and tastes like shumai but not a standout for me to get again - Fish Filet Panini 5/5 - surprisingly SO GOOD! The employee recommended it and I was hesitant but it ended up being one of my favorites. Kinda like the McDonalds fish filet sandwich with the tartar sauce but obviously better - Japanini 4/5 - solid, nice basil pesto tomato combo but not a standout for me to get again - Banana Matcha latte 4/5 - solid but personally prefer the one at Kei cafe more TLDR: favorites are Everything Salt & Butter Roll, Spicy Curry Pan, and Fish Filet Panini

My friend and I came here on a Wednesday around 1pm. This turned out to be a good time. At 12pm,…read morethere was a long line outside, and at 1:30pm, there was a long line outside, but at 1pm, we were able to walk inside. The emoji breads tempted us with their cuteness, but we were very curious about the Oyaki Mentai Caviar's combination of spicy cod roe and mochi. To be safe, we also got the Mentai Salt & Butter Roll. While we liked the Roll and its crunchy outside/soft inside, we actually loved the Oyaki. The mochi isn't sweet at all, just nicely chewy. Plus, whereas the Roll only had a little bit of spicy cod roe inside, the Oyaki was packed! I say this a lot, but truly, everything looked good. I hope to come back and try their Paninis and Danishes. If they're anything like the Oyaki, they'll be distinct, delicious, and downright delightful.

First time at this beautiful location!…read more My family and I were craving some delicious Korean cake after dinner. We decided to stop by this location before we headed home. Love how large the space is. The dining area so is chic and perfect for some conversation time with friends. Even though we arrived 15mins before closing, they still had quite of selection of breads. The cakes were beautiful as always. A few new Mother's Day selection that's out already. We got a strawberry cloud cake and an orange cake slice. Can't wait to eat them after I digest some of this dinner. Staff is friendlier than my Fullerton location.

The display cases always have a lot to choose from, so it's fun to grab a variety of things to try. On our visit we picked up quite a mix: the milk bread loaf, cloud cream cake with strawberries, cheesecake, Guava Pie, cream cheese tart, Portuguese egg tart, chocolate muffin, blueberry muffin, caramel apple pie, fruit tart, and a cinnamon twist. The cheesecake was really good -- smooth, creamy, and nicely balanced in sweetness. The cloud cream cake with strawberries was light and fresh, and the milk bread loaf is incredibly soft and perfect to bring home for toast or breakfast. One of our favorites was the cinnamon twist. It was fluffy and delicious, almost like the texture of a malasada. The fruit tart was also beautifully made and a nice lighter option. Not every item necessarily stood out the same way, but overall it's an enjoyable bakery and a convenient local spot when you're craving pastries or want to bring home a mix of sweet treats to share. The shop itself is clean, well organized, and the staff has always been friendly when we stop in. Overall, it's a solid local bakery with a lot of variety, and a nice place to pick up desserts in Brea. Tip: If you're trying a few things, the cheesecake, milk bread, and cinnamon twist were standouts for us.

Stopped by for some pastries and honestly I was pretty surprised at how good they are…read more The prices were a bit higher in my opinion than other bakeries, but the quality made it worth it. Mochi bun - I don't remember the exact name but it has walnuts inside and on top of the bun. Inside the bun there's chunks of brown sugar mochi. The subtle fragrance of brown sugar and crisp walnuts really hit the spot. The best thing is that they're not overly sweet either. Sweet potato bun (?)- forgot the name but it's a long roll with purple sweet potato in it. Again, not overly sweet and very enjoyable. Their breads are very soft and fluffy. Service is fast but the girl behind the counter spoke a bit too fast. If you need a bag they charge 15 cents for paper bags, so bring your own.

I hope I would have tasted it while we were in the area so I could exchange it for something else. When I opened the clear box it let out a not so pleasant smell. It looked "ok" so I tasted it but it tasted as bad as it smelled. As I looked closer it has some small mold spores at different areas. If you're not from the area try their items before you drive off would be my suggestion to avoid having a similar experience.
