I have had them over a few times for some work. The first two times were great- they just changed a light switch the first time, changed fixtures the next time. I loved the tech that they sent out- personable, seemed to know what he was doing. Then I called for a bigger job- wanted the lighting redone in my kitchen. They sent out a different guy.... that didn't go well. It didn't seem like he knew what he was doing... at all. He told me that work I wanted could not be done. Sent me a high quote for lighting that I did not want. I called another electrician, he provided another quote, much lower and was able to do the work I was asking for. We had a circuit breaker issue. When the tech came out, he found that there was a issue with the relay box that could have caused a fire. He updated the relay box and rerouted some wiring. We called him back out to put one room on its own breaker. The tech was very nice. He took his time to explain what was going on and explained once he completed the job. Our AC Unit electrical disconnect was not working. We called another electrician to fix it. They fix it but also recommended us to replace the main circuit breaker. We had Simple Electric inspect the electrical work done by another electrician. Thankfully they were able to identify and offer suggestions to repair the faulty work previously done on this home. The previous company cut corners and used an indoor rated box outside which had weather damage and was sure to have issues. Their staff is friendly, fast and very knowledgeable. I unfortunately have to write a bad review. They had told me that the visit out to give estimates was free. I had the guy come today to check out a lightbulb that I was not able to take out and I knew that the thing holding it was broken. But the bulb was old and needed replacement. He told me I had to squeeze the metal around the bulb to get it out and took the bulb our for me. And I said oh ok... and ran inside, got the new bulb, and screwed it in myself. Nothing was changed structurally to the bulb or the thing holding it at all. Literally he just took the old bulb out and reaffirmed that the thing holding the bulb was loose and broken. Then I had a socket that was not working when I would plug things in. I had hit the "reset" and "test" buttons on it a few times and it still wouldn't work. He pushed those same buttons and his meter said that they worked but the socket is old and it will cost $141 to replace it. I said to forget it because that was too much for a socket I barely use and that I would just try to force the buttons and hope they work on a fluke like they did with him. He said ok and left the socket alone and did not replace anything or even take the socket part (I am not good with electrical terms) out to see what is behind it. He just started to unscrew the screws when I stopped him and said no it was too expensive. So ok. But then he suddenly says I owe him $50. And I said what for? He hadn't done anything. He was rude to me and said for all the things he had just done (he wasn't even there for ten minutes with these simple tasks that were nothing). All he did was reaffirm that the things I thought were broken were and without going into them structurally in any way. I had been told that if there is any charge for anything, that he would tell me before doing anything. And yet he was trying to charge me $50 without telling me that taking out an old lightbulb (that me and my neighbor could have figured out!) and pressing a "test" button on a socket (that I already know how to do) is going to cost that. If he wanted the $50, he should have told me that he was not able to touch anything without charging me $50. That would have been honest and I would have either agreed or disagreed. And his rudeness to me about it on top of that was totally uncalled for. I called the company and she said she would check with the manager about what to do. So I wait around to hear back from her and she never called. I had to call her to get the update and she said that the manager decided to waive the fee. I am not sure why she didn't update me like she was supposed to. And I check outside and I see the rude kid who had come by had already left. Poor communication and making me wait around for a phone call that she wasn't planning on giving. You should call when you say that you are going to check with the manager about what to do. I am a customer waiting to hear back from you. And the guy should mention he is leaving so I know what is going on instead of driving away with no communication. A text finally came in after all this being left confused and hanging, and it was an invoice that said I owed $0. I will not be using this company again because of the experience I just had. And it would have been nice to get an apology for the guy's rudeness to me. I was nice to him even when I was stressed about how much he was charging me. I would never want him on property or my neighbors' for that matter again with that kind of rudeness and attitude problem. They say "friendliest electricians" but they were not to me. Why send this guy over? This was not professional service. Normally I would be thankful that they waived an invoice but they rudely left me hanging and had a guy go against the policies that they told me about (I was not supposed to pay anything at all anyway because I refused any further service for fixing things). So invoice was supposed to be $0 to begin with. I can't recommend this place. read more

Called Simple Electric to get someone to fix a fan that had surged and died. They made the appointment for the next day, but were able to squeeze me in the same day thanks to a cancellation. Jim came shortly after they called, asking if it would be ok for them to fit me in and was very professional. He had booties for his feet, and everything he had brought with him was placed neatly on drop cloths that he placed on the floor to ensure that there was no mess that he left behind. Not only was he efficient but the pricing for the new installation was more than fair. He even did an extra quick job as well which I really appreciated. I needed a ceiling fan installed and got several quotes from electricians. Simple Electric was the most reasonable, so I decided to use them. From calling to make the appointment with Ashley to Jacob arriving (right on time) to do the installation, the service was stellar. Ashley is nice and Jacob (electrician) is friendly and did an exceptional job. I had only received a quote for one ceiling fan install, but when Jacob arrived at and I asked if he could provide a quote for another ceiling fan I was surprised when he offered to also install that fan. I ended up getting 2 ceiling fans installed and the final cost was very reasonable. I couldn't be happier! The ceiling fans look incredible and Jacob did an awesome job. Had Mike and Co. replace 100 amp service with 200. Callback to set appointment was within the hour, appointment within a day or two, quote shortly thereafter. The fellows he sent to dig the giant pit required for the job were fast, thorough, and it almost looked like they used a level on the sides of the hole. Toothpaste may not go back in the tube, but four cubic feet of dirt, sand, and pavers came out of that hole ... and it all miraculously went back in when they were done. My pavers look better than they did before! Mike and his partner were quick, thorough, and did exactly what they said - in the time frame and at the price they quoted. That's what we all pray for on remodels. Great when it actually happens!
