Horrible!! After my father died on February 20, 2021, you refused to pick up his body, even though…read morehe had made arrangements with you to do so two years ago. We asked why not, we were told because of weather and road conditions. Weather and road conditions were fine on the day he passed away. You all finally admitted you didn't have the room for him. Told us we would have to make arrangements with another company. You would not assist us in finding another company. You all are HORRIBLE! In a time of crisis for my family you were not there. My advice to others looking for cremation services, DO NOT USE ACREMATION!! You say that my parents did not make arrangements, but that is false. They did make arrangements and even had a registration number. They gave you a credit card number to charge when you were to pick him up. To use covid or weather as an excuse is not right. Hospice nurses told us this is the first time they had ever experienced something like this, even during covid. You did absolutely nothing to aid in finding another company. Shame on you! You all just screwed up!

When I initially called about the status of the ring (had my mom been cremated already or not), I…read morereceived a return phone call telling me that the ring never arrived with my mom to the crematorium & after speaking the transportation staff, they claimed that the ring was removed at my mother's apt & handed off to a police officer that had been with me...I stated bull $hit...then, the rep stated that it was removed & given to the Hospice nurse...again, bull $hit!!! The ring remained on her finger before the guys asked us to step out of the apt to prepare my mom for transportation...now, that was an instant opportunity for the theft!!! So I called back a 2nd time & requested ALL documentation pertaining to my mom's cremation...I also stated to the rep when she said that the jewelry remaining on the deceased is cremated with the deceased (per your documentation) did NOT happen...then, she stated I signed the release form stating "jewelry" was provided to me...yes, a Catholic Scapular that had been blessed not once but twice with the Sacrament of Anointing the Sick was around my mom's neck...I never in a million years would have dreamt that my mom would be SO abused, attacked, & assaulted by people that portrayed themself as individuals with a Heart...if you do not require your transportation staff to provide a detail of the jewelry returned on the release...you are setting yourself up for more law suits...it should not be something that the person mourning the loss of a love one should have to micro manage, question or worry about...bottom line, we speculate that the ring was cut off the hand of my mom's dead body before being delivered to the crematorium...it breaks our hearts & physically makes us sick to our stomach...this is the most evil thing to ever happen to my mom...I was 100% taken advantage of in my time of loss!!! Listen to the recorded phone calls & hear for yourself just how ridiculous the lies being told to me were communicated. I've contacted my mom's Hospice social worker & made a formal complaint with her because she referred your company to me...plus, she's already signed up for your services...I told her BEWARE!!! After contacting & speaking extensively with Jason at the crematorium about their process...I made him aware of what I was having to deal with at aCremation...as I told him, aCremation's documentation in reference to jewelry & the crematorium was an out & out lie...much less deceptive information...an ultimately put him & their company at risk doing business with your company! I think I've got my point across...if your transportation staff are NOT bonded...your company is totally irresponsible!!! If you don't take responsibility for your staff's unbelievable behavior (i.e., as your client...a full investigation into my allegations...lie detector test...guilty party fired). This should NEVER have happened to us & I will make it my mission that it will NEVER happen to another family...mark my words!!! P.S. It was my 23 yr old son that got online & researched the process of cremation & questioned aCremations claims about the jewelry being cremated, too. He's a really bright kid so I owe all the credit to him in discovering the theft. He always has wanted the ring as a keepsake!!! He will be crushed after I tell him what I've discovered.

I highly recommend this company, as their price is about 1/4 the price of a funeral home cremation…read more Their were prompt even though they had to come to Granbury to pick up for transportation to their facility in the middle of the night. I was a bit taken aback when a hearse arrived with two gentlemen who said they worked for a funeral home came to the door; then they quickly told they do pick ups for Lone Star. They were kind, polite and considerate. After I was notified, I drove to their facility to pick up my husbands ashes, and received the death certificates. They had also notified Social Security about the change in status, and I received SSA without any change in schedule. I highly recommend this company. I was able to make all the arrangements over the internet and pay with a credit card.

I let them handle my wife's cremation recently. I had to repeatedly send the request for a death…read morecertificate because they kept saying they didn't get it. All I did was forward the previous emails to them and they finally got it. They dragged out the process so I have to wait 10-14 days longer than I should have to get the death certificates. They didn't guarantee a specific date, but their estimate of 7-10 days turned into two weeks. When I went to pick up my wife's ashes she was just in a paper bag on the floor with many others. Watching her haphazardly search through the bags on the floor was horrifying. I would not recommend their service to anyone.

Such a beautiful location. Have a family friend who is lay to rest here. We come every other week…read moreto visit his plot and water his grass. Did see a couple of wild skunks come out of the bushes.

Mom had arranged everything in advance, so we thought it would be easy. No. The meeting to make…read moreservice arrangements needed 2 men with different duties - it was like a "good cop - bad cop" interrogation with characters out of the Munsters. We were taken to an underground bunker, using an aged elevator - in which we were told "you don't want to know what this and the offices we are going to were previously used for." Ugh. That meeting included a requirement for $1,052 for a 6"x3" plaque on the existing grave marker, being shown how much money we had "saved" (line by line) compared to today's prices, upselling options, and suggestions to pay in advance for our own funerals asap - to save or families from the cost. We also were told about the importance of doing as instructed because graves were being claimed and bodies disposed of by criminals posing as relatives and reselling the sites. It couldn't have been more grim. The graveside site visit (to an unkempt mess, and area that is clearly not maintained in any way (with misaligned and damaged grave markers, broken walls, damaged signage and uncut grass) included being shown available plots in the even rougher areas in case we wanted to buy today, and having to listen to the escorting staff's personal tragedies... instead of being allowed to focus on our own loss. The second bunker meeting ended being asked to hand over the $1,050 because it takes 3 months to get the marker, being told that the flower people were too busy to speak with us, and a reminder that their jobs were in danger if we gave any bad feedback. When we said that we did not need some of the paid for items, the required reimbursement to the estate was promised and has been defaulted on for 2 months despite multiple calls and promises to resolve. Oh, and on the day, they forgot the pall bearer's boutonnières. It took 2 months to get the death certificate - and only then by calling multiple times when they told us thy had been lost in the mail... yes really. We went and got them ourselves in the end. We were left no choice but report this place to the Texas Funeral Service Commission (TFSC). Btw - the flowers ended up being x3 the price they are elsewhere - so we didn't use this place for those - neither should you. Bottom line - Steer clear, and if you're already committed, be ready to deal with a used car lot level customer service.
