    Watermelon bubble tea
    Chereyle C.

I have to say I really thought sushi out of a mall food court is just asking for food poising but the sushi here was very delicious so good I ate it all before snapping a photo lol but I got a bubble tea. The boba didn't have any flavor which I've been to places that are way better the tea was good.

Clean and good tasting sushi! It's really nice to have another choice of food in the mall besides straight up fast food

Fantastic sushi. I am going to start coming here everytime I'm at the mall. Recommend to everyone who wants good, well priced sushi.

Not bad for mall sushi. Inexpensive and has an extensive menu. Not fresh but not horrible either.

Really nice workers and great taste! But 4 stars because the portions are kinda small.

The only reason I'm giving two stars is they have great bubble tea. The sushi is worse than HEB pre packaged at 1am.

The staff are very rude here. They are especially rude if you want to tweak the menu. Go to Lemongrass.... much better all around.

I can see this being a casual and intimate date spot, without venturing into too fancy of a dinner. We got the Fire dragon roll - we mostly ordered this for the spectacle because we saw on the menu that it would be on fire. And it was so cool! It's completely wrapped in foil while on fire, which isn't as cool, but it was still cool regardless. But eating it, this was our favorite that we tried. The eel is so soft, it just melts in your mouth. And the fire in the foil makes the roll so warm and creamy. Which I know isn't something you really want when you think sushi, but it was so good. The rollercoaster roll - I think the taste of this roll wasn't necessarily anything special. It was good and it had a little spicy kick. But what set it apart was the tempura inside gave it some crunchy bits that were fun to eat. Yellowtail tornado roll - I really liked the yellowtail in this roll! But I'm not the biggest fan of jalapeño, so this one was just okay for me. Lemon salmon roll - this roll was really light and refreshing! Probably my second favorite of the night. But the citrus flavor was pretty strong, since it had yuzu sauce and sliced lemon on top. I feel like I would have liked it more if it was just the yuzu without the lemon.

The fish was excellent quality. Proportions were great and allowed all the flavors to come through.

It's been years since our last visit to Sushi Bang Bang--long before COVID-19 pandemic. We even…read moretried to come back once after things reopened, but dining in was still difficult because of the health and safety restrictions at the time. We finally made it back last Saturday for lunch, and it was definitely worth the wait. I was initially excited to try one of their bento meals after seeing the menu online, but the prices at the restaurant were much higher than what was posted. That's understandable considering how much costs have gone up over the years, so we decided to go with the AYCE option instead. It turned out to be the perfect choice. A special shoutout to our server, whose name I unfortunately forgot to ask. She was friendly, attentive, and honest enough to recommend that we not order too much at first because the tempura portions are much larger than expected. The portion sizes here are much bigger than what we're used to at AYCE sushi restaurants in San Antonio. The shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura were generously sized, with thick, crispy batter that was still flavorful and delicious. Some of our favorite were the Salmon Skin salad, which stayed perfectly crispy even with the dressing, and the Mushroom Soup, which was light, flavorful, and not thick or creamy like many other versions. The shrimp and chicken shumai, chicken karaage, mango rolls, and all of the sashimi we ordered were fresh and delicious as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Between the generous portions, fresh and tasty food, and outstanding service, Sushi Bang Bang reminded us why we enjoyed dining here years ago. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Austin--and now we know to order a little more wisely because the portions are huge!

I started with the gyozas -- filled with chicken and veggies, and really affordable at around $6 for 6. The sauce was delicious, and I shared them with my family, who also thought they were great. You can get them fried or steamed; I went with steamed. Next, I ordered the salmon avocado roll, and it was literally the best roll I've ever eaten. I dipped it in soy sauce, and for those who avoid preservatives, they even offer a soy sauce with just soy, wheat, salt, and water -- perfect for me! I ended up ordering four orders of six rolls (yes, they were that good) and ate them all by myself. Each order was about $9, with $7 for just salmon -- avocado was an add-on. The Sexy Mango roll was my mom's favorite -- she said it tasted refreshing. We also tried sashimi sushi, which was served in a cool cup and tasted amazing. My brother went all out and ate 30 avocado rolls, and the chef was kind enough to give him a super-sized sushi with extra avocado and rice -- I was so jealous! I also tried the Beef Bulgogi, which was delicious and priced at about $13 -- very reasonable. Around 4:00 pm on Saturday, the restaurant wasn't crowded, which made it perfect to enjoy our meal. The K-pop music in the background was a fun touch, too. Seriously, the salmon avocado rolls were the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be back next time I'm nearby!

Decent spot with really nice deals! We came on a Tuesday evening and were really surprised to see…read morethat there was an all day deal going on for a combo of certain rolls and entrees for a cheaper price, so of course we had to go for that! Our server was super nice and immediately took our order. The rolls, because they are part of the combo, were more on the simple side. Both the yellowtail and tuna roll were really good. The quality of the fish seemed decent, but I wish there was more of it in the roll. And I wish the wasabi was a little stronger. The chicken udon bowl was probably my favorite of the night. The udon itself was the perfect texture and really bouncy. The broth was deep and had a rich sweetness. And the chicken was really juicy. The chashu ramen was okay though. I wish the noodles were cooked a little more, I wish the pork was more tender, and I wish the egg was jammier since the whole yolk was basically hard boiled.
