I injured my hand, went to Urgent Care and they said get x-rays. This SimonMed was the closest location. I arrived about 9:15; it wasn't busy. The three staffers -- all female, all under 30 -- were among the top most unfriendly and indifferent individuals I've ever met in the medical field. First receptionist handed me off (with a snotty tone) to the second, who handed me a clipboard and pen to do paperwork. I asked if there were a way to fill it online because my writing hand was injured -- could barely grip a pen and it was painful to do so. I can hunt and peck type on my phone. There was "a way but it would take too long." And just looked at me, no turning toward her PC. I thought, Huh. Well, crap. Sorry to be so much trouble. (Nobody in line, only a couple people waiting in all. I said, "It hurts to write." She said "Sorry" like she didn't mean it. And that was it. I was dismissed. I scrawled the info. Here ya go, sweetheart. (No, I just thought it, didn't say it.) Moving on, the X-ray tech didn't exchange a pleasant word, ask any questions. Nope. All about getting the job done. Just 3 views needed. Last view -- she wanted me to spread my fingers, which I could barely do and which was painful. Unconcerned. Hold that pose. Got it. Done. After all this devoted attention, it follows perfectly that I still haven't gotten the results. The promise was 1-3 days. Day 6 today. Never again, SimonMed. read more

I made an appointment for an MRI & Xray over the phone. I didn't have my insurance card on me. I told them I had insurance but I'd rather pay cash for the appointment. SimonMed said it was fine but to call back with my insurance. 2 days before my appointment, They start harassing me. Calling & texting my phone multiple times. I missed their calls because I own my business & I'm very busy daily. They cancelled my appointment because I didn't answer their calls. Despite me telling Them I had insurance & I wanted to pay cash. When I do call, I update my new insurance & ask them why they cancelled my appointments. They said because I didn't have insurance. That excuse without validation from me is not sufficient reason for cancelling my appointments. This place is completely stupid & soulless. They only care about them making sure they get paid by insurance companies. I go to my appointment. I needed a MRI on both shoulders. I'm dealing chronic pain at a 10. I had two different providers submit scripts for me to get a MRI. When I arrive they only do one shoulder not both. When I tell the tech that both shoulders need to get done. He refuses to do my other shoulder. They scheduled me comeback the next day to do the other shoulder. I wanted both shoulders done because it's so painful to lay down. It just sucks to cone back again & pay additional fees.I had to speak to management and they didn't help. When I arrive for my second MRI, they again only wanted to do my shoulder & not my neck. They refused to scan my neck because it would go past 5:00pm & the staff just wanted to leave instead of helping me. I felt like they were abandoning their patient. Mind you I'm dealing severe pain in my neck, shoulders, & it shoots down to my forearm. It hurts just to lay down.. I wanted both shoulders to get my MRIs done instead I have to come back 3 times. I got into an argument with the MRI tech & secretary because they lack integrity & accountability. The MRI tech was unprofessional & kept calling me "Bro" like we're best friends. I had to pay $1000 out of my pocket to get 3 MRI scans. There's a reason they average 1 star. People are just numbers here. Caring about people is dead. read more

This sounds fake, but it actually happened. I couldn't get the mobile check in to work and approached the counter 10 minutes before the appointment. The person didn't look up from her computer and said someone will call me to the counter. I stood there for almost 10 minutes without a word or any form of acknowledgement. The person called me to the counter and couldn't find my appointment...She then said it was marked a no-show since I didn't check in when I arrived. They actually cancelled the appointment as a no-show while I was waiting to check in. I was told that there were no other appointments available. The person said I should have gotten there earlier. This is a bad place. Steer clear if possible. The front desk people are a real problem for this place, but then again someone higher up are allowing them, or directing them, to be cold and harsh for no reason. read more

I've had to call multiple times into their scheduling department on several occasions the line disconnected (I think they hung up on me ) never called back so I would call again and be that squeaky gear need grease . Although they had my Medical order on file because I was there on December 2 they canceled my appointment on December 23 claiming they did not have an order from the doctor's office . It was the same order that I went for my December 2 appointment scheduling department just didn't put in enough time for both MRIs Lastly, I have a complaint on Lindsey c. Who has commented on many yelp reviews saying they strive to be better and improve yet nothing has been done. Piece of advice for you, Lindsey. I used to love Simon med im looking to go elsewhere and I will let my insurance know the issue . The staff is great , friendly and do their job . but the Doctors do not read the scans in a timely fashion. I have follow up Dr appointments they ignore the Doctors trying to get the results too! I guarantee you these are doctors or radiologist reading them from home and it's wrong . no way should anyone wait for a scan to get read for 5 days ! we pay too much for this . and it's not beneficial to the insurance company as well. I had two follow up appointments no way of getting results . I called there to let them know and messaged with someone who said have my Dr get the results ! my Dr tried twice I'm beyond tired of this you just lost a great patient. Fair Warning. This place is atrocious. My wife went in last week for an MRI. When she calls in a week later to see why it hadn't been sent to her doctor she finds out they lost it. They say it will take 30-40 days to look into it. So she gets a supervisor who after arguing, reluctantly says he'll see what he can find out and will caller back - but he doesn't. Finally she gets it rescheduled and goes into to get it redone. They had all of her paperwork and her payment but no MRI and wanted 30-40 days to figure out what happened while she's in pain waiting for the results to get treated. That's absurd. Poorly run company! Today, I went to pick up my disc for my previous scans at the Palm Valley location. One of the front desk young women argued with me that I didn't have the scan there! I told her I specifically did last week Thursday. She asked who was the tech, so I told her. She then proceeded to continue to argue that there was no such person there by that description. I know exactly the correct description, when & where I had it. She persisted to argue which was strange & so unprofessional! What was her point of arguing?!? These employees need better training! I just wanted my disc & go on my way without a confrontation with an argumentative young woman! Scheduling is a nightmare since you are dealing with offshore people who don't always speak English well if any. You're often connected to the wrong department. So finally you schedule, then the day of or prior to the x-ray, they are notorious for cancelling several times over indicating there is no tech that day and on & on it goes. When you finally get in, the techs are great & do their jobs efficiently but to get to that point is a nightmare! Better training would help this company! read more

I had a horrible time here. Michael, the MRI tech, was really great, so this review isn't about him. He was awesome and helped ease my worries regarding the MRI I had to have. This is about the girl at the front desk. The hours on the door clearly state 8am-5pm. She was sitting at the desk, doors still locked at 810am. When I knocked on the door (which is glass so I can clearly see her), she shook her head and mouthed the words "not time yet". Um... yes it is? When your door says 8am-5pm, and it's not open to us at that time - 815am now - then you're in the wrong. I was told to be there at 8am for an 830am so that they could get my contrast set up for my MRI. So, I guess she makes her own rules now about when they can and cannot open? Good to know. But when she finally *did* open the door, she was rude and had a major attitude. Like, I get you hate your job and the people you have to see but that's not an excuse. People are here to get exams to get diagnosed with awful things sometimes and they are nervous (myself included) and their time is valuable. Either appreciate that, or go get another job. She made an already awful situation for me that much worse with her lack of proper demeanor, lack of manners and the way she treated us (there were others waiting outside for appointments). I have visited this location many many many times over the past 15 years. For several different reasons. Today I needed a CT Scan of my temple and sinuses. Basically my entire face due to all my crazy allergies and well, that's a whole 'nother story. I don't think I've ever had a mean or rude tech here. Whether it was MRI, Ultrasound or any of the infinite tests I've had done on me, everyone has always been friendly. However, today I had the pleasure of meeting Jesse. My CT scan tech. He was hyped. He was excited yet accommodating. He was sooo nice and refreshing to speak to. He answered my questions and also calmed my nerves and reassured me regarding my claustrophobia. It was faster than he even mentioned originally just to make me breathe easier when it was over. Thanks Jessee. True gem. Great customer service. Hope to see you on my next test. They come often. So don't waste time making an appointment just show up and wait for the next available slot. They can't tell why you can make an appointment then they don't honor it. I had an appointment scheduled and when I talked to appointment setter I alerted them my insurance had changed and is that something I need to do now on the phone. I was told I could do it day of no problems. Today I showed up for my appointment gave them my new insurance and they let me know that this is going to cause a problem and would need to reschedule. No commitment to timeliness of reporting and no concern for patient wait times. My experience --- I called to make an appointment for a hip X-ray at my doctor's order. I was told X-ray was done on a walk-in basis. I hobbled-in at 1:00pm on Friday. I saw no one in the waiting room but me. I checked in and was told it would be at least an HOUR wait! I was asked "is that was okay?" Well no, it is not okay but my only alternative was to return on Monday... and then wait again. So... I waited. I was taken back to the dressing room about 2:15. I undressed as directed, then stood in the hallway while other patients were taken in for their exams. None of these people were in the waiting room with me so where did they all come from if they truly don't take appointments? I finally got my exam done and was back to my car shortly after 3:00pm. So all in all, 2+ hours of waiting. X-ray results? Who knows? ....more than a full week has now passed and I still have no report. I called Simon Med this morning for the 2nd time in a week and they confirmed it has still not been read. What?!In 8+ days they can't read an X-ray? Taking the X-ray has no value to the patient unless it is read and diagnosed. This is unconscionable patient care when the test is simply gathering dust for more than a week. It's the equivalent of not having had any test done at all except that they bill you for the privilege of wasting time, being frustrated. These radiologists apparently have never taken the oath "DO NO HARM". My advice-- stay away from Simon Med for an X-ray. read more

The office on McDowell in Goodyear is disgusting. It smelled like a Nursing Home. All the floors were dirt and gross. The rooms were nasty and the gown baskets were overflowing with dirty gowns. I felt like I was in a Covid Peatry Dish. So nasty I had to go home and wash my clothes. How do people run a medical facility that is unkept and stay in business. read more

What the staff does not seem comprehend is they are part of a patient's long term care process. We rely on them to help us get through our medical issues fast and effectively. I was called by a representative to say that my CT needed to be canceled due to insurance issues. I asked the lady not to cancel the appointment that I would call my insurance company and call back. I called my insurance company got things straightened out and returned the call to SimonMed and the lady had canceled my appointment and there was not another appointment available for over a week. I needed the CT because I had surgery two weeks before and had damage to my bladder, the CT was to ensure my bladder healed, and the Foley catheter could be removed. I asked to speak to a supervisor sat on hold for 20 minutes one time and 30 minutes the next time, and then I had to leave a message and nobody returned my call. Horrible customer service! read more

I needed an x-ray on my right wrist. I called 4 times to schedule an appointment. The first three times I had to hang up after over 20 minutes of wait time per call! When I FINALLY got through - "Oh, x-rays are walk in. . No appointment necessary". Ok, so I went Tuesday at about 10:15. I was told it was a 20 minute wait. I was seen at 11:45. Had I been told the truth, I would have come back another time. Needed to get my mammogram - realized my last mammo was with Simon Med - on the phone now to get the date of my last mammogram and you guessed it - on TERMINAL HOLD!!! Hello Valley Radiology! Update - I was told that my itemized receipt was "in the mail" for nearly 2 weeks and it finally arrived yesterday and it wasn't a receipt at all, it was a bill. A bill that didn't even reflect the payment I have already made nothin...I am so fed up with this absurdity. I have been working with Brooke D. from Accounting for almost 2 months now and still no documents showing details on the money I have already sent them. Their online appointment system is a joke. When making my appointment it offered me Saturday times, however they are actually not open on Saturdays. I rescheduled to another day, only to find out the 8:30 slot it offered me wouldn't work because the test requires drinking a contrast agent at 7:30, and they're not open until 8:30. Since part of the online process is specifying what test your are getting, the reservation system should be smart enough to only offer times that work for that test. read more

please try to go to another location if possible. this is probably the worst medical service i have ever received. first of all, i scheduled my appointment online for another location for a saturday as the website clearly stated they were open Saturday. well they weren't so i received a phone call telling me they are ready to schedule my appointment. i let the lady know i already did so and she said no, if you make the appointment online it's NOT to be seen and get your appointment done, it's to be CALLED by someone to schedule an appointment. ok so then why did i get a confirmation email telling me i scheduled it? so whatever, fine, they scheduled me at this litchfield location since they had the wrong info on the website and had no more openings till october. so my appointment at this location was at 10:30 and was told to get here 15 mins early and come with a full bladder. i got here at 10:11 and it's now 11:27 and i have not been seen. they claim they are that behind on their schedules and not sure when i'll be seen. not only that, but because they are so far behind on the schedule, one of my ultrasounds has to be done another day since they do not have time. and since they aren't open saturdays, i have to miss another day of work to get this done. they are not remorseful or helpful or even seems like they care they completely 100% inconvenienced me. everyone else who came in after me has been seen and more people walking in are being seen before me. i still haven't been seen for one of my ultrasounds nor have they tried to reschedule my other appt yet. My experience here was awful and I should have known to go somewhere else from all of the other bad reviews. This was my first ultrasound to find out how far along I was in my pregnancy. I explained to the ultrasound tech that this is my first baby and I was very excited and nervous about the ultrasound and did not know what to expect. The tech was extremely cold and robotic. She didn't say anything to me, quickly took the pictures and rushed me out. Once she printed the picture she pointed to a small area where the baby was and sent me on my way. It was a 3pm appointment so I don't know if she was rushing to get out of there and go home but it was an extremely unpleasant experience. I understand she does this all day everyday but it would be nice if she had some compassion for a first time mom. Even a smile would have been nice and put me more at ease. I just wanted to know that the baby was ok and viable. Kinda sad this is the memory I have of my ultrasound and for the first time seeing my baby. I wish I would have gotten her name so I could have escalated it further. She was an old lady, blonde, with short hair and glasses. Anyways. I will be driving way out of my way to another location to ensure I get a better experience. I would encourage other people to avoid this location as well. read more

If I could give the business side of any SimonMed location no stars, I would. Even when the out of pocket has been met on insurance, they will not do any procedures/tests unless you pay what they claim is the patient's share of costs. I have asked them to re-check, call my claims rep, I have brought benefits statements, even from previous SimonMed visits showing I have met out of pocket and don't owe any up front payment. They will not verify, claim it's not their job. I end up making the payment. Weeks later the insurance has paid them as well and I am owed a credit. Three separate visits I have called the business office after a month or so to find out why I haven't received my refund. In one case, I had to set up payments for an expensive procedure and they deducted over three months payments even though they were paid by insurance within the first month. There seems to be no internal process for processing refunds automatically. It's apparently up to the patient to make note that there was payment made. I'm told they'll process the refund and it'll take three weeks. After the three weeks I call them up again for a status update. Every single instance I was informed it was never actually put through but they'll do it this time. Sure Jan. I kept taking a chance with SimonMed thinking it was a one off. It's their business model to assume you'll forget as best I can tell. I will never use SimonMed again. read more
