Waited almost 2 hrs for an x-rays... when I asked about the wait after 11/2 hrs, was told by 2 employees behind the counter rudely that I have to wait b-cuz others had appointments... there were alot of people who were called back while I waited. Unfortunately this company has tried to automate everything about my experience...it fails miserably. Their software won't allow what it asks me to do by registering (didn't work.. when arriving they couldn't access); then by emailing when I arrived it's check in part of the software said Simon Imaging WIFI was not secure and couldn't process; then days after I tried to access my image report (after paying them to take the scan, read it and make it available to patient); total failure at accessing patient records etc. Offered only no human "chat" which redirects w/o helping. I am leaving this review in hopes that one of their technical people might call to get patient feedback with the hope they would fix these issues. AZTECH has their own ap to access my read images 24/7. A better choice and cut above Simon Med's repeated failures FULL STOP. read more

Had on a MRI schedule for 3 on Friday 2/17/2023. I Arrived on time. Wasn't taken back until 4:15!!!

I am leaving a review because I see it has terrible reviews I have been there a few times and it has been ok. First times front staff was let's just say could have been better as in better customer service this was a year ago. I went there today for an ultrasound and everything went great from check in to procedure. I was overwhelmed thinking I would have to cancel my appointment. I got there at 9 am and was out by 9:30. I had to leave to work by 10am so it was fast and I'm happy about it. Check in through online is nice and convenient. It seems like they made changes but I'm not sure, if they did it's working keep it up. read more

Terrible staff. I had an appt for a CT scan. Arrived early for them to tell me my appt was cancelled and the technician went home. They did not call me. They also said my appt was not pre-approved. My insurance didn't require preApproval so it was just a lie to justify canceling the appt and allowing their tech to go home early. The worse part is they spoke down to me and tried to make me feel stupid. I called and filed a formal complaint with Simon Med against the AJ location. Avoid this location AT ALL COST- you will have a miserable experience-when you already don't feel well!!! read more

Went in for a mri. They have a mask policy now ok understandable but they could of told me that when they confirmed my apt. So go in they say I will have to wait outside in 100 degree weather till it's my turn because I don't have a mask. Meanwhile the girl sitting at the desk mask over mouth only. Guy in waiting room using a tissue as a mask and lady in waiting room with mask on her chin. But I am supposed to wait outside really? Sit outside for about 10 minutes getting warm. So my husband goes and tells them we will now be waiting in our car in the air since they want to pick and choose who waits outside. Another 15 minutes husband goes back in as they never come out to get me. Now I can go in and have procedure. They never were going to come get me WTH On a side note the tech that did my mri was awsome read more

Every experience with Simon Med is a joke. Today I showed up, after taking time off work, to show up and hear my appointment was cancelled. The lady couldn't tell me why, nor was I notified prior to the appointment. Then to top it off she said the pre auth for the appointment wasn't done by then. I scheduled 6 months ago. This is my second negative review for Simon Med. They need to get their shit together. I'll be going elsewhere moving forward. They are incompetent and the communication is terrible. read more

Just went to this office yesterday and was helped by Candace at the front desk. I was in the day before and she was the only one in the office up front. They're Corporate Office is to blame for this problem. When I did come in for my x-ray the following day, I spoke to candace again, and she just plugged away at what she was doing and when I was called for x-ray, everything went fine. this staff is very caring. Don't take things out on them. They are understaffed. Keep this in mind when you do a negative review. Slam their Corporate Office, they don't care. Best thing to do is just come in and register in the morning. read more

I have been to several SimonMed Imaging and this one really is nice. Not only is it convenient for me but the women who book your appointments and greet you DO try to work with you on getting you in when it works for you. I appreciated that when I had to get my Mamm as it was hot (summer in AZ!) and she said lets get you in early one day! I have been here since 8:00 am. I made an appointment the day prior and verified my insurance and co-pay amount before arriving. Sarah was very rude from the time I arrived. She saw me with insurance card, ID, and cash in hand for co-pay. She asked, "Cash?" I replied, "Yes." She gave me a $480.00 total for appointment. I replied, "No, that's not what I was quoted yesterday with insurance." She said, "You didn't say you had insurance." I said, "I replied yes to cash; you implied I didn't have insurance. I assumed since I gave the information yesterday, it would already be on file." She put people ahead of me, so she could call and verify my insurance. She didn't call until 9 am, and I have been here since 8 am. She told me she doesn't like to put a file through without authorization from insurance. I said that's why I made an appointment online, and someone from SimonMed called and verified my insurance information. She then said, my co-pay was $25.00 more than what I was quoted, and then it was $0.00 My husband is missing work time to watch our two kids, and I feel discriminated. If I didn't need the results of this test so urgently, I would reschedule at a different location. read more

I walked in for my mammogram and was greeted promptly, although I couldn't really hear her very well as she spoke softly. Filled out my paperwork and took it back to a very friendly (different) receptionist. I was called back within 10 minutes of my appointment and the same tech did my mammo as has done it the past several years - Deb. She is very caring and gentle and asks each time she is ready to scan if I am doing ok. I really appreciate this as the procedure is not a pleasant one. DON'T EVERY pay these people at the time of service. I was told in February of this year that my co-pay on my Lung CT was going to be $200. it was not it was only $115 and now they won't give me the balance of my money back. The first time I called they said they had not received the EOB from my insurance company. The second time I called I was told the same thing I knew that was not the truth because I had called my insurance company after the last call. I requested a supervisor who told me to send over my copy of the EOB which I did, but then I was told they could not put the money back on my debit card they would have to issue me a check. The check was suppose to be issued on May 3 which was 8 days after I was speaking to them. As of today May 28, 2024 I still have not received my money back. If I had waited this long to pay the money I owed them they would have already turned my over to collection I think maybe next year when I have my CT scan I will find another place to go. read more

I was apprehensive when I read the reviews on SunMed, but my doctor recommended them. I was very satisfied. I was greeted nicely by the receptionist. I had filled out all of the required paperwork online so check/in was a breeze. so many times at other offices I filled it out online and then had to repeat the process on arrival. They were about 30 minutes behind, but not a bad wait. The radiologist was very pleasant and efficient. Test lasted 14 min and I was done. cannot say anything negative about the experience. read more

I hate to be desparaging but this was another sad example of decline in communication skills and kind human response. I tried to make appointment. Their system hung up on me but person I was speaking to did not bother to try to call me back though I think I had given him my cell number. I tried again and found myself listening to an extensive tedious explanation of info that could be done within the choices rather than put everyone who calls, through the torture of what didn't have anything to do with my inquirey. When I finally got through to someone again, it was possibly the same guy, who told me his name was Arnold. I explained nicely what had happened but zero response. The interaction that followed was far from giving me confidence that the visit would be positive. Unfortunately, this customer server had the flat personality and communication skills of a piece of toast. I managed to get an appointment but had the thought to check on reviews of the place, since I felt unsettled about the experience of just being able to communicate with SimonMed. Sure enough, the reviews were disastrous. I cancelled and now have an appointment with Banner Imaging. What a different experience! Far superior to SimonMed. So sorry to write this, but Arnold needs a bit of training in human interaction. Don't fire the guy, train him and encourage him. And improve your phone recordings. I do not want to criticize but to point out what would help to make the experience better for your clients/patients and for your company to thrive. read more

The receptionist asked me if I had a referral and I said no. of course, this made her job harder because she had to call the doctor to get a verbal authorization. she was very rude. My wife and I recently used this facility. We both feel the front desk staff should be fired. Rude is an understatement. I was asked my medical info only to find out a 2-3 hour wait. I went to another location to find out their equipment was broken and was told they didn't know when it would be fixed. My wife had an appointment for as dexican x-ray. When checking in she was told they couldn't do the x-ray as she took a calcium vitamin in the morning. This information should have been addressed when she made the appointment. Had an MRI on 2/22/23 at the Apache Junction location and was greeted by Savanna who was rude. Have to take sedative for claustrophobia and couldn't even take it appropriately due to they were backed up. I was scheduled at 3:30 and got in at 4pm. The MRI tech I had was rude and non compassionate. She shouldn't be in the health field. A person with claustrophobia should not have their feet tied together and I was told by another tech that my face would not be in the machine, but boy was he wrong. I was in a closed MRI and my entire body from head to toe was inside that machine. I did a lot of praying to make it through and when I was finished I was in so much pain I was crying like a baby. I would not recommend this location to anyone. If I ever have to have any more x-rays or MRI's I will drive the distance to be treated with compassion and courtesy. I worked in the health field for over 25 years and had to deal with a wide variety of patients and attitudes, but I can say I never in my life ever treated any of them the way the MRI tech treated me today. read more

Went to facility on 4/12/22 to fill out request of release of prior imaging from an out of state facility to assure that this info would be at SimonMed for my 6 month follow up appointment on 4/26/22 for mammogram and ultrasound for unstable breast tissue. SimonMed waited till I showed up on 4/26 to inform me that they hadn't received my out of state imaging. SimonMed said they would resubmit that request And rescheduled appointment for imaging for 5/9/22. I called the out of state facility on 4/26/22 and told them SimonMed said they never received my prior imaging. The out of state facility assured me that they would resend discs to SimonMed. Prior to going to my appointment on 5/9!22, I called SimonMed to make sure they received my imaging. A gentleman assured me they had. While waiting in line to register I get a phone call from SimonMed. I didn't answer as I was close to being next in line. When it was my turn I was told they had tried to call me to say they had not received my prior imaging. I told her I was already there and that I was told that morning that they had the imaging. She made a phone call, walked away from her desk and returned with 2 discs. She said nothing to me. Finally I asked if they were my discs and she said yes. She told me I would be seen and to take a seat. Half an hour later I was called back up and told they couldn't read the discs. I told her how frustrated I was with this whole experience while while trying to be proactive about ruling out a possible serious condition. I walked out and rescheduled with another facility! If this helps anyone from going through what I did, then it was worth this a llong rant. read more

I went get an x-ray yesterday around one. I walked in and stood on the line provided. I waited a strong five minutes to be asked if I could be helped, their we three ladies there to wait on people. A rather unpleasant looking lady waited on me. I gave her my sheet and she informed me to have a seat, there would be a 3 1/2 hour wait! For an x-ray I asked. No answer. I did ask where else I could go. She provided me with the information. By the way, of the three ladies, not one seemed happy. I drove to another Simon med where I had been before and had been treated like I mattered. I was greeted by a very pleasant and warm lady. I was there a total of twenty minutes. I was taken care of efficiently and like I mattered. The tech was wonderful as well. Oh, and did I say there were two people in front of me. Don't go to this Simon Med. They should consider new help! I had pneumonia. I had to get a chest X-ray, ordered by my doctor, to make sure my lungs had completely cleared up. I was told by my doctor that SimonMed near me offered walk-in X-rays, go any time. So I go and I'm told by the receptionist "there is an hour wait", no hello, no how can I help you, just that. I asked what my options were, could I make an appointment? No, you can't, X-rays are walk in only. So then I hear the other receptionist tell another patient that there's no waiting at the Higley and southern location. I ask my receptionis, should I go there instead? If you want, she says. Ok, so she couldn't care less. I go to higley and there's a sign on their door "we have no X-ray tech, sorry". So I go to the greenfield location and I'm told we're not doing X-rays until10:00. It was 8:30 so I gave up and went home. I was so aggravated by this time I got a migraine and went to bed. When I woke up I thought I'd try again but I'd call first to see what the wait time was. The operator said she didn't have that information. I asked if she was at a specific location and she wasn't but she could transfer me. She did and the line rang and rang before finally disconnecting. The headache returned and I went back to bed. Next morning I look at their website and they open at 7:00 so I go, get there at 7:00, go walking in and I'm told we're not doing chest X-rays until 8:30. So I told her what I've been going through. She said she could check me in at 8:30. Great. That's where I'm at now. The saga continues. read more

June 23rd I called and told the person I needed them to request my previous mamo from New Mexico before I could make an appt for a new mamo. The guy took all the info, including the address and phone number of the imaging location in New Mexico. He told me they would email me when it arrived. Two weeks later, I had heard nothing. I called again. This lady knew nothing about requesting records and didn't know how to put me in touch with someone who did know. Frustrating. I spent a week on my own finding a form to fill out and took it to SimonMed in Apache Junction personally. The two ladies at the desk were unsmiling, unfriendly, unwelcoming. I was told they would email me when they received the records. I was also chastised for not giving them the form earlier. Yesterday, July 29th, I called medical records at SimonMed. You can't talk to anyone, but have to leave a message. I asked if they had received my previous mamo. NO RESPONSE. Today, July 30th, I called again and left another message. NO RESPONSE. I have wasted over a month trying to get a mamo and SIMONMED DOESN'T CARE AT ALL. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

I went here at my doctors order to get a x-ray on my knee. I'm in a great deal of pain. I sat there an hour and a half and then they finally called me up there and said I have a $25 deductible. I know for a fact I do not have a deductible at all. After another 30 minutes they called me back up there inside now I owe them $150. Supposed to pay a percentage of the cost. It's complete BS. I spoke to my insurance company while I was sitting in the lobby but they did not want to hear about that, they wanted their money. There are plenty of places around the do x-rays. Been there twice lately, first time waited in 20 minute line to desk, then told 1.5 hour wait and it was 2 hrs and 10 minutes. X-ray guy was great, no issues. Learned my lesson yesterday made an online appointment which took about 15 minutes to fill in all the stuff they need, then chose my appointment time of 8:30, so got there 20 minutes early, stood in line against the wall then told it would be 1.5 hrs wait, I politely said are you aware I made an appointment and she said we do not set appointments for the X-rays, I said wouldn't it be nice to say that on the site and she agreed, I waited about 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment and X-ray man again great. Its not their workers, its the people that own it and make the appointment system, I would not have gone back had I been told the appointment was no better than walk in status, there are many others that do this. Its also a problem one X-ray person is worked to the bone for such a huge crowd of patients, hire twice more. I had also been there pre pandemic once as a walk in but it was a 30 minute wait, not hours. If understaffed then "appointments only" so they could live up to being on time. Standing in a line for 20 minutes with a fractured toe was hell, half the people in line should be in a seat, not standing. At least put in a numbers ticket when you walk in and they call your number. 4 stars for workers 1 star for owners. read more

Line out the door. People passing out waiting. Staff does not respond..other patients have to come to their aid. New owner put in rule only 10 min to get through any exam so all is rushed with no patient care in mind. No response to calls made to main office to ask for help for people suffering in line. This is almost criminal what they are NOT doing. 3 times in an hour we had to help folks recover as staff looked the other way. This place is terrible, my wife and I are expecting and this is our first ultrasound, not like they are doing open heart surgery or anything and my wife called ahead to make sure I could come with her and the girl at the front desk said no problem. So I took half a day from work to go, drove 45 minutes out of the way (it's Apache Junction you know..) and once on site we waited for her turn. At no point anyone told us I couldn't go even though it was clear that I was there with her. Once her turn finally came, I got told I couldn't go...so ridiculous. While I really wanted to take part of this great journey with my wife, at least have the decency to let people know in advance, especially when they are asking !!!! 0 stars read more

Went in 11-8-19 with husband. Paid 208.26 as they asked. They sent a bill for $1340.46. They did not bill insurance. Made 2 calls regarding this. Finally billed insurance March 2020. I checked with insurance and I was only supposed to pay $40.87. It is August 1, 2020 and they have not refunded my credit. Have talked to them July 17, 21, 23, and 24th. They have had my money for almost 9 months now. Reported them for fraud. read more

After the ultrasound, I was directed out the door, vs. wait for the bad news. -- 3 p.m. Radiologist, a D.O., found ABNORALITIES and failed to report it to me or doctor. (I learned this today, Saturday, Nov. 3) 2.) T U E S D A Y - Oct. 23, 2018 -- Primary Care appt. - RN says SimonMed never sent results. She said her office would call for he results and notify me. ... Days passed and I thought "no news is good news" until an after-hours Friday text ... 2.) F R I D A Y - Nov. 3, 2018 5.28 p.m. A text message alarm from primary care tells me I must call them about the report. I am in California now and stuck waiting until Monday to request a CD ($25) be sent here for the follow-up imaging. Initially I tried to book my appointment by phone yesterday, since trying to book online last year was a system failure on their end. Specifically, my appointment booked online, was never there. Anyway, as I am on hold the, message says they can call me back when someone is available. So, I hang up. A few minutes later I get this text: "SimonMed Appointment:Thank you for reaching out to SimonMed To expedite your care we are reaching out to see how we can assist." I reply I want to make an appointment. I get another text: "SimonMed:Reply was sent to SimonMed Appointment. If you wanted to send a keyword, check spelling and try again." I text "schedule appointment." This started the text message all over again. Obviously that isn't working, so I call them and wait for someone to answer. The guy was able to schedule my appointment the next day and said I would get an email with forms. Guess what? No email!! So, I go to their website looking for the forms, but you have to create an account to fill out forms. Awesome! The forms were not printable. You have to fill them out and save them into the system. I was nervous the forms wouldn't show up, but they were there and no additional forms were needed when I arrived. Thank goodness! They need some serious help with technology! I get to my appointment and see the mask requirements on the door. I went in with my half shield, which covers my mouth and nose. I wear my shield because I have a medical condition that prevents me from being able to wear a mask. Most businesses have been fine with it and haven't said a word about it. I checked in for my appointment with no issues and sat down until I was called. A tech came out and called a name, but no one heard her, so she repeated it and I still wasn't sure if she called me, but I got up and it was me she called. I believe she said her name was Debbie. I asked her how she is doing? She mumbled something and then looked at me and said that isn't doing anything (referring to my shield). I said, I cannot wear a mask. She disregarded me and told me to change. We go into the mammogram room. She is pushing and pulling me in all directions. My shield was getting in the way of the machine, so I asked if I should take it off. Again she said, "You might as well. It's not doing anything anyway." At that time, I bit my tongue and didn't say anything, which I deeply regretted after the fact. Here are a few things that I wish I said to Debbie and hope she sees this review. First of all, I don't recall asking your opinion on if my shield is effective or not, so you can keep your comments to yourself." Secondly, masks are not that effective either. Specifically, 70% of the people who have had Covid-19 were wearing masks and were social distancing correctly. If masks are so effective, then why are the numbers spiking? Could it be because people are touching or constantly adjusting their masks? Could it be because of the surfaces the masks have touched or that masks are not washed enough? The same can be said for people who wear gloves. They think gloves protect them, but they are constantly cross contaminating without realizing it. Let me just say, I don't have to adjust my shield or constantly touch it like a mask. Aside from my medical condition, I don't believe masks are that safe or healthy for people. Lastly, what was your comment really intended to do? Were you trying to inform me? Change my mind? Or were you just being condescending? I think we both know the answer to that! So, "Debbie" or whatever your name is, instead of judging others and being condescending, try to learn how to be kind and respectful to your patients, especially when they ask how you are doing. I just received a letter from a collection agency that says I owe SMI $706.36. This comes after not receiving one bill or phone call from SMI. I asked after my appointment to pay my co-payment ($15) and they said to wait until I was billed. Bill never came. I just checked with my insurance company, and no claim has been submitted. This is a time-consuming hassle that no one needs. After I straighten this out, I'll never return to this facility. read more

I would give this business no stars if I could. I went in for a routine mammogram and they called me back two weeks later to say I needed to come back in "they found something" and it needed to be redone plus an ultrasound, they gave me no other information other than that except if I had questions to call me doctor which in it's self was nerve wracking but I set the appointment up to come back. Today I go back in, arrive 30 minutes till my appointment as requested and waited for 45 minutes to be taken back, then after redoing my mammogram a second time the technician has me sit on a chair in a hallway, still in a hospital gown where other patients both male and female are being taken back for an additional 30 minutes before I finally stopped her between patients to ask how much longer it would be especially since she left me in a hallway half dressed and got the response that she had no idea it depended on the doctor. About another 10 minutes later the doctor finally comes out of the ultrasound room, says to the technician (without addressing me, apologizing for the wait or even acknowledging me) that she has to write up the chart from the last patient and it'll be 10-15 minutes and then just walks off. I told the technician this was not acceptable and got dressed and left. I will never go back to that clinic nor have I ever been treated with such disrespect by a doctor. Review update, they are still sending me bills for $26 for an appointment above that I walked out of before being seen and still call at least once a month to try to reschedule me after I've asked multiple times for them to stop calling me. read more
