Friends of ours (full disclosure: who are related to the owners) recommended this place to us so on date night the family took off for a Mediterranean adventure in the middle of Schenectady. Parking was plentiful in the lot by Jay Street and it was a minute walk to this place. It is located on the end of a small street of quirky and fun shops, and this place fits right in. Upon entering, I was hit with a vibe of "cool meets modern", sort of like a Chipoltes. There was loud music that made it a bit tough to hear but we managed, and everyone (especially the owner) was friendly. Not really knowing what to do, I decided to make my own bowl. I started with a bed of spring greens with flavored rice on top. My protein selection was Greek meatballs (lamb/beef), and then the train went off the rails. They had so many different options to choose from! The next area had several different salsas/salads, but I only picked the cabbage slaw because it was the only one without red onions. Next were garnishes, and I selected hot red peppers, olives, Feta cheese, and maybe something else. Then, there were additional sauces and I went with garlic aioli, their seasonal herb hummus, and something else (buy now, my mind was blown). Next... dressings, and I am pretty such I passed on them all. Finally, mozzarella cheese was sprinkled all over the top. For drinks, I noted that they had two... TWO... different types of lemonade: Pomegranate Rose and Orange Blossom. My wife got the orange so I took the Pomegranate. The cups weren't terribly large, but the lemonade was awesome. As we sat down, I realized that I had a royal Greek mess in my bowl. I dislike the tired cliche "layers of flavor" but that is what this was. It was impossible to get a forkful with everything on it, or even half. Worse, the last couple of additions of sauces (or were they garnishes or dressings?) had blanketed everything in a white color on top. It tasted wonderful, but it made it really tough to find certain things. My herb hummus disappeared in the mix and I only found it by randomly stabbing my fork down. For those who like to mix it all up before eating this poses no problem, but I wanted to experiment and savor the various components and that was impossible as presented. Perhaps next time I will ask for things to be served on the side. For dessert, I succumbed to my kryponite: Baklava. They had two types, regular and pistachio rose, and both found there way back to my table. We liked them both, but I preferred the regular and my wife enjoyed the nuance of the rose. Or maybe the opposite. Honestly, there was so much going on I can't fully remember. We had a great time. It wasn't the cheapest meal around, but there is no way we could replicate it all at our house for less money (I can't even remember what all of it was)! We need to return and I will need to take better notes. But going back should be easier, as they are opening/reopening two new locations soon. I wish them well. read more

Came by on a weeknight before I had an event to grab a bite to eat, the place was clean and the workers were very polite to me and the old man ahead of me with hearing aids that was also unfamiliar with the restaurant. I had heard great things about the falafel but ordered the harissa tofu as a wrap. The wrap, which was not made in house was very soft and fresh tasting, almost too chewy where it was folded over multiple times. Might do with a bit of warming/toasting like a chipotle wrap, but I'm not sure if that would affect the structural integrity. Got mine with everything on it and it was very tasty, nothing extra and not extra spicy sauce (this time). The only problem I had was the event I was going to was a sporting activity and it repeated on me the whole time. Also got a takeaway of the chocolate hazelnut baklava, and that was delicious. Baklava is not my favorite dessert and I would have this again. read more

This is the best falafel I've ever had, the staff is friendly and quick, prices feel completely justified for the quality of the food . So many ingredients went into the bowl and it's amazing how many great flavors combined! read more

They are not afraid to be playful with a great cuisine. Apple baklawa was a first for us but well worth it. Compostable bowls that you can choose what you want or try the meat pies. There's a reason this place has 5 stars - the food was DELICIOUS. I went for the first time today. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, without any changes because I wanted to taste it the way they planned it. It was some of the best, most flavorful food I've ever had. Everything was seasoned and tasted great together, I mixed it all up so I had a little of everything in each bite. They even give you a small, warm pita. I would definitely go there again, and you can't beat the price. You can spend $10 on fast food, or $10 here, and get actual, real food, not processed. The food is SO good. I have gotten many of the items and they never disappoint. The hummus is fantastic as well. The lemon potato's and babacado toast are also delicious. I've gotten the Moroccan mint tea and the iced tea with cardamom which are also very good. This has quickly became my favorite lunch spot. read more

Really good! The staff are so nice and the food is reasonably priced and delicious. My boyfriend said he would eat here every day if he could (and when he visits, we basically do eat here every day lol). I like it a lot. I've tried several items! My recommendations include, Chicken shawarma bowl, Goat cheese pita pie, Blueberry Lavender Greek yogurt, and the Baklava. The goat cheese pita pie is easy to miss, but please don't!
