I won't be coming back. Both my eyebrows are uneven. The side of my eyebrows closer to the corners of my eyes are patchy. I told her they were wrong and she cleaned them up more. They have a sign out front that says "complain in person but love us on Yelp" that should've been my sign that something might be off. Now I'm gonna try and pluck them and hope I can even them out

This post is for my recent experience. Typically this is my go to place- Goma is very talented and does great work, but today another woman was helping her out and she did not hold the same standards. I came in with my brows full and grown in and ready for a clean up. I told her I like the shape of my brows and like them thick. Specifically just a clean up... throughout the process I had a bad feeling. Her technique felt insecure, and the thread kept breaking, more times than usual. Quite painful in comparison to goma. In the end I came out with uneven brows and they were really skinny. Upset...seeming that I grew them out specifically to have them nice for an event.i

Yesterday was my first time getting my eyebrows done at this location. Goma IS AMAZING !! Just 10 minutes before I arrived at Simi Threading , I had gotten my eyebrows done at a different location ( Reva on western ave ) in which they ruined my browns I had two different shapes ! Goma FIXED my brows and now they look GREAT ! I'm new to San Pedro, Simi Threading is definitely my new spot ! read more

Told her how I wanted my eyebrows. Said to clean them out and keep their shape. Still OVER threaded and left me with 2 super thin and uneven eyebrows. I don't understand what was so hard to understand? She was very polite and did her best to keep my happy. But I am unhappy with the eyebrows she left me with. I now have to grown them out for the next 8 weeks. read more

This is a jewel of a find. I've been going to brow threaders for over 10 yrs. I was in town and had to take a chance on a new brow threader. Please do not let the parking lot deter you, there is street parking. They aren't handicap accessible, and you will need to climb up a flight of stairs. All worth it, if you're capable. I'm thinking they did a better job than my own brow threaded in Phoenix, AZ. Don't pass up this establishment. It's a well hidden secret of the locals. read more

Phenomenal place! Very fast and professional. I only came in for a simple Brow cleaning. Most places are rough on male brows and would leave a few hairs. Not here!!! I still couldn't believe that there wasn't any pain! I highly Recommend Simi Threading. read more

Probably the best place in Pedro to get your eyebrows threaded. I've been going here for over a year now and I've never been disappointed. I love the card stamp card idea after 10 stamps your next eyebrow threading is free. Sometimes there can be a little bit of a wait but totally worth the wait. read more

Great place. I went in and she started on my eyebrows. I haven't had my eyebrows done in a while. I thought it was going to hurt, but it didn't. Usually after a while it goes, but this time it didn't hurt as much. She was great! She took her time and she was really gentle. She is cautious about how you want your eyebrows. Will be going back again soon! Got them done for 8 dollars. read more

I have been growing my brows as I always do for the full brow look. I went today to get my brows clean and I wish I did them myself. Both of my brows look completely different and I know they are not supposed to look the same but they look so obvious. My right brow is thick and fluffy while the left brow is completely thin. I went with this new lady that has never done my brows as my regular was busy doing someone else. Not only are my brows different but she needs to learn a little more. The thread kept touching my lash line and I felt it going through my lashes. She also threaded further from my brows and felt her cut my baby hair. It would have not mattered if my brows were good but I am super disappointed with the outcome. She also threaded pretty harshly and my skin is red and irritated, which is something that I never experienced. I wish I plucked them myself as I have an important event and do not know how to fix it. I know they are going to say why I didn't say anything but you can not fix this. I did not feel comfortable with her and did not want her to screw it more than it already was. Also, my eyes were really watery so I could not really tell the finished look until I went home. read more

After 3 years of not having threaded my eyebrows, I expected it to hurt. But it did NOT! The threading was painless and it took less than 10 minutes! Goma is absolutely amazing! She threaded my eyebrows to perfection and I loved how they came out! I was hesitant at first to come here to due to location and parking BUT I said why not? And went for it! Worst place ever. EVER. There was great customer service, not gunna deny that. Lady was real nice, but my eyebrows are TERRIBLE! My eyebrows were really nice and thick, all I need was for the lady to thread out the little hairs growing in and make it a little clean, but it's seems like I asked her "reshape my brows and thin them the hell out " NEVER am I coming back here. I hate how my eyebrows look. I swear I wish I didn't pay, this was bullshit. read more

Goma is the best! She used to work much closer to where I live but I will definitely make the drive just to get my eyebrows done by her. She takes her time and she is friendly and we always have a conversation more than just your typical small talk "hi, how are you?". You will not be disappointed! read more

I really wanted to like this place! The owner is very sweet and knows how to treat her customers!! Although, I've been here twice and I'm not happy with the results! The first time she did an "ok" job on my left eyebrow and my right one was uneven and misshaped. But, I gave it a second chance since it's so close to home and the cost is cheap. Well, sadly now I have super thin eyebrows and they are super arched, which I HATE! I made sure to show her pictures of what I wanted them to look (obvi they wouldn't be EXACTLY like the pic but similar) and ended up with them not even looking close to it. I guess I'll drive 15 miles and pay a little more to get what I want. read more

Really great service, great work... pricey side though. I pay $15 bucks every time I go, downside is she only available certain days and times, she has other lines of business as well. But her work is phenomenal! I have weird shaped brows, and she fixes them every time I go. I've noticed hair grows in smoothly after going with her and she has plenty of patience for what she does. Love that she doesn't stick the thread in her mouth like so many other places do. The location sucks for her shop because no parking whatsoever, but for Simi it really is quality vs. quantity. I prefer paying for her quality than keep going to a $5 place and get screwed with irritated face and funny looking brows. read more

So I live pretty close to this place and I tried it out about a month ago. They did an awesome job and I was really specific about what I wanted (she listened with purpose and gave feedback). I went back today and she also did an awesome job. Good to have a good place to go near home. And they have great customer service and only charge 8 dollars, which is a really great price. Goma ALWAYS does an amazing job with my brows. It can be hard to find a consistent person for brows, but she is amazing. When I leave, my brows look great AND she does it so that it does not irritate my skin. Not only is she talented, but she is very nice and customer service oriented. I am not writing this review about the whole place. I come here at least once a week or every other week. I love Goma and dalia I think it is. She is the real sweet lady who usually is there with Goma. I can not remember her name but the new lady did a horrible job on my face. She has not been there as long as Goma and dalia have. After she finished it was so many hair left and I noticed in the car with the light. I went back and she told me I had to wait till she finished the next lady who she had not even started yet. I couldn't believe it. She should have done it right the first time. I feel like she was rushing and she is a little heavy handed too. The string broke like a million times. It never does that with the other ladies. I know not to go on Sunday. Need to find out her name and the days she works, so I won't come if she is the only one working. I will be a hairy beast before I let her touch my face again. I can't believe it. I still love the place. read more

Threading is a natural, gentle, ancient art and a great and effective method of removing unwanted facial hair. The procedure utilizes a length of thread, without any chemicals used, to remove unwanted hair from the root. We started off as only being available on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays by appointment only, however as of October 1st, 2015 we are available 7 days a week and walk-Ins are welcome! Pleased to meet you, I am Goma sitaula. I have much experience with threading and am a fully licensed threader who has completed special eyebrow threading courses to further my skills. I try my best to satisfy my clients and approach customer service in the belief that my customers are the God and the business depends upon your judgement. Your complete satisfaction is my goal, and will work according to your desires and wishes to accomplish that goal. I am proud to be considered one of the best eyebrow threading specialists in the south bay area. I do my work lightly, to avoid pain, and my clients are very happy with me in this regard. For the first time in years, my eyebrow blindness is officially gone. My brows are nicely shaped, clean, and no longer look like caterpillars. What I appreciate most is that they truly take their time and pay attention to detail. At other places, I often felt rushed and like the job was done poorly, to the point where I was needing touch-ups almost weekly. Here, the difference in quality is obvious. Once I got a bikini wax done at a popular waxing salon chain, and the comments made by my esthetician about my amount of body hair made me feel very insecure and almost "dirty". It was incredibly an embarrassing experience for me. For this reason, I'm very picky about where I go to get myself waxed and I do a lot of research beforehand. I was in the Long Beach area for a cruise, and realized the day before that I had forgotten to get my underarms and legs waxed. I tried booking online with Wax Candy but couldn't get an appointment slot so I just called and asked if I could walk in. Wax Candy was very accommodating with the fact that I did a walk-in appointment at the last minute for urgent hair removal for multiple parts of my body. Myisha did my underarms, tummy, and tushy waxes. She was super professional and made me feel comfortable with getting waxed. I really appreciated her not making any comments on my body hair or the fact that I'd literally came in to my appointment almost straight from the airport (so I didn't exactly look the best either). I also worked with Ivy to get my legs waxed. She made me feel really comfortable too and I actually got to learn a lot about the Long Beach area by talking to them both! None of the waxes I got hurt much at all. I was actually really surprised by this, because I get waxed regularly and am used to it being a painful process. Both Myisha and Ivy are very clearly professionals, and it shows in their ability to wax hair so quickly that you barely feel it at all! Overall I had a great experience and if I had to rank all the waxing salons I've been to, this one would be at the top of the list. I honestly wish that all waxing salons and estheticians could be this easy to work with. Thank you Myisha and Ivy for all your help, and if I'm ever in the Long Beach area again, I'll definitely be stopping by!

I am a guy that had never sculpted my eyebrows before. Did not have a unibrow, but my eyebrows were thicker than I wanted. Simi threading understands that a man and woman's eyebrows are different. I can leave here and still have masculine eyebrows that are clean looking. But I am sure if you are a guy that wants your eyebrows sculpted like a woman's they could do that as well..ha. I could never sit with tweezers in a mirror, do not have the time. Every 2-3 weeks visiting simi makes my life easier. Cost is less than a haircut and they are super friendly. I have been coming here for over a year now and love it. Goma is amazing! She listens to you and is skilled at what she does. I always get compliments on my eyebrows. She has a very fair price of $8 which she lowered from the previous owner. She also threads much more lightly than other places I've been. It barely hurts with her. Highly recommend her! read more
