And the dirt didn't seem to be taken up no matter how much I swept it to the intakes. I was able to book an appointment with Excellent Pool Services and I explained I have the filters, o ring, and lube, just need the muscle to put the filter container back together again. Anderson was my technician and you'll see the old and new filters. Gross doesn't even come close. He cleaned out the bottom half and I got the top half. He pulled the drain plug and cleared all the assembly pieces. He totally cleared where the o ring sits. Recommended that I replace the 2 piece valve that sits on top and which piece uses plumbers tape and which doesn't and why. And that's for starters! My pool test strips-nope. Get the test that uses the liquids. Chlorine tablets-nope. Use the liquid type made for pools. Not household stuff for those who are new to pools. He told me how to clear the calcium ring around my pool from using chemicals that a chain pool place told me to use. A pumice stone. He told me where I can go to get parts and supplies. I feel like I am in class and I surely needed to take notes! He recommended that I not cover the pool in winter. I have tried so many ways to do so and now I know to not use chlorine and just keep the pool clean. I know I have the right company when their technician takes the time to explain the how's and why's to take care of your pool. I'm not good at the difference in the acids but i have the wrong kind at the moment. I'll get the right kind for sure. I found out mine is a fiberglass pool. I knew it wasn't vinyl but I would've guessed concrete. My pool water is circulating with power now. Its got new chlorine liquid working its magic right now. I'm going out to scrub my walls again and get this pool cleaned up fully so I can test it and get IN it!!! Its hot out here!!! Anyone who takes the time to explain whats what to help you maintain this wonderful yard accessory is A OK in my book. Thank y'all so much. I now have a company to help me when I need it!!! Thank you Yelpers for recommending!!!

The young man who came out was polite and explained everything. I told him another pool company wasn't able to get me in until late Sunday. This was Friday evening 6pm and his response was: "Sunday? We don't make customers wait that long when it's over 100 degrees out!" I really appreciated that and the quick response. I was relieved that we didn't have to worry about the pool having no filter for over 2 days!!

I highly recommend Priority Pools to anyone looking for dependable, consistent pool cleaning and…read moremaintenance. Alejandro does a great job--his attention to detail truly sets them apart. He always follows through on every instruction I provide, and week after week, the service is thorough and reliable. I've worked with two other pool service companies in the past, and neither comes close. They usually started off strong, but their quality quickly declined over time. In previous years, poor maintenance even caused my pool to turn completely green. Since switching to Priority Pools, I haven't had that issue once. I don't often go out of my way to recommend companies, but Priority Pools--and especially Alejandro--have absolutely earned my trust.

We've used Priority Pools since our brand-new pool was completed three years ago, and the…read moreexperience has been extremely disappointing. In that time: * The heater has failed twice (and is currently not working again) * The chlorinator has been replaced * The pool lights have been replaced twice * The silver quartz finish already looks stained and bleached Maybe some of this is poor Hayward Industries equipment, but it's hard to know because the service tech changes constantly -- about every 6 weeks -- so there's zero accountability or continuity. This is a saltwater pool, yet instead of properly diagnosing or maintaining the chlorinator system, they routinely dump gallons of liquid chlorine into the pool every week. Actual "service" often feels limited to: * Emptying the leaf basket * Lightly brushing the pool * Adding chemicals And nearly everything beyond that becomes an extra charge: * Chemicals? Extra. * Filter cleaning? Extra. * Repairs? Extra. * Someone coming out because the system they maintain stopped working? Extra. Worse, many of the techs seemed unfamiliar with how the equipment even operates, making service calls frustrating and unproductive. What really bothered me was adding up the actual cost over three years. Once you include all the side charges, repair calls, chemical add-ons, and maintenance fees, the true cost is easily several times higher than the advertised "weekly service" price. The marketing and online reputation look polished, but our real-world experience has been expensive, inconsistent, and lacking accountability.

    Big George's Pool Care

    Southeast

-- Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated…read more I rarely write reviews, but I feel a responsibility to warn other homeowners about my experience with Big George's Pool Care. After a detailed and explicit conversation with the owner about not cleaning the filters on the road (due to HOA rules and the mess it leaves behind for me and my neighbors), they completely disregarded my request and did it anyway. This was not only disrespectful but also a clear violation of our community guidelines--something I made very clear upfront. On top of that, my spa was clogged for over a month, which I had to constantly bring to their attention. The clog caused a severe calcium buildup that destroyed the look of my tile. Instead of taking accountability, the owner brushed it off with, "Calcium builds up over time," and said I would need to pay another companymore to remove it. That's not just poor service--it's negligent. I've lived in my home for 7 years and never had buildup like this. My previous pool service would catch early signs and make recommendations before it got out of hand. Big George's took no such proactive care. Now I'm left with a spa that's downright ugly and embarrassing, and frankly, I feel taken advantage of. What was supposed to be regular pool maintenance turned into a costly headache. This is not professional service. This is a warning to anyone considering Big George's Pool Care: look elsewhere unless you want to clean up after them--literally and financially.

As other reviewers said, new customers think you found a keeper, but soon service deteriorates. Zach, Billy, Darren are great; the owner, Adam, is pool-knowledgeable but poor business growth planning brings on new customers at expense of losing old. After awhile, when you have a problem, Adam is busy going to potential new customers the 'cute dog' theme trucks attract and his guys are limited in what they can do and time they can spend just when you need your pool sparkling / working. I rarely write reviews. Be warned.
