Holiday gas stations are all money hungry rude establishments. I get gas there sure sometimes but…read moretwice now I just needed ice, ice that anywhere else would be free. Well they want .50 just for ice. Most of their people are absolutely rude to everyone. Zip trip doesn't charge foe ice and they ALWAYS have smiles on their faces. When I get to the door the woman said "we're closed." I said the sign says OPEN! She says, "well, we're closed." All I wanted was to get my propane tank filled which would have been less than 5 minutes but she just went back inside, shut off the lights and turned off the OPEN sign and walked to her car. SSOOOO RUDE. The young man that was with her also just walked to his car without saying a word. I will NEVER GO BACK. She needs to take courses on customer service. I would be embarrassed if she worked for my company and should be fired.

Forget the nearby big-box stores, I don't have the patience or the time to find what I need and before I even get to that point, I can never find an employee. These are firmly in the "tolerate" category. The smaller places, a mom-and-pop shop or even a place like Ace Hardware work well for me, seem to have what I need, and I can find an employee to help. These are the kinds of stores I like to browse through and find things I didn't know I needed. Who would have thought I'd need to exercise a budget restraint in a hardware store? Ace carries kitchen, grilling, and garden supplies as well as local merchandise like candles, soaps, and general knick-knacks, and a limited selection of clothing. When it comes to basics, I'm a fan of this Ace Hardware for being the antithesis of my experiences with the nearby big box stores.

Before we spoke, the woman working the front curtly asked if we were here to buy packing supplies and acted inconvenienced when asked about truck rentals. There was a guy behind her loudly talking with a customer on speakerphone. We were told there were no available trucks nearby in the size we preferred, and that there may not be another one "for awhile" and left it at that. Looked online shortly after on the same day and there was one available in Laurel, booked it and picked up with no problem, with far better customer service than we received here. Unbelievable.

And again said it was going to be a bit before he could help me due to problems he was having inside. He didn't seem like he wanted to help me so I started loading up my propane tanks. Just as I finished he cam out again and saw that I was leaving and said "Good, go someplace else " That guy was the rudest person I have had to deal with that I can ever remember. Of course, she's like "Is everything okay?" That makes me worried. I'm thinking that maybe my unit caught on fire or I've been robbed. No. It's because my payment is 48 hours late. Give me a break!
