The TV Looks AWESOME. Cal Connections was priced better than their competitors and did fantastic work. They took a job best buy would not do because the geek squad said it was "too hard". During my shopping around, I was especially surprised how some other companies quoted one price (even after looking at pictures and being cautioned about the job) and then when they got to the house to do the install jacked the price up 300% (500 install went to over 2000!). Unbelievable. Mateo quoted a price and held to it. The other thing I like is that he gave recommendations on the best way to install a TV for the best price. In our bedroom, we were going to mount the TV before the "fireplace remodel". Mateo recommended waiting so that we can run the cables better. I got 3 quotes and liked Matteo's approach (and price) the best. He made it sound simple but I was nervous because it was a complicated system and I wanted it to be user-friendly and hidden. He spent several hours looking through the house before giving us the quote (which was accurate -- no hidden charge), showed up on time, was able to hide the main system in a cupboard, and used the existing speakers (with new Sonos equipment to compliment the Sonos soundbar and speakers we brought from our last home). This cut the cost, and allowed us to remove the unsightly keypads from the walls in each room. Now we have a great-sounding and beautiful clean-looking system -- all the way out to the pool! He told me what was doable, what was not worth the expense, and what to do instead. He was honest and creative about what could be done. They were competitively priced, and didn't have the "you dont know what I'm talking about" tax that I was getting from others. On the day of, they came out and got it done in a few hours. Mounting Canvas TVs (great TVs, horrible mounting system), setting up Sonos bars and hiding the cords in walls so it fits seamlessly. It honestly looks like a painting when not in use when there arent cords ruining the aesthetic. They even had a drywall guy that came the same day for the work outside their scope. I've got home networking projects coming up and will defintely use them again. Give them a try, you wont regret it.
