For a tile project, shouldn't there be an onsite evaluation to assess the work required? Moreover, if you had visited my location, I could have discussed two additional tasks that would significantly increase the scope and cost of the project to your advantage. In response to the owner, I did provide descriptions for additional projects in the original request. I was concerned about potential damage to the tiles that could require significant repairs. I have expressly said that I was willing to pay a premium for proper handling of the situation. When I mentioned those concerns, other providers did express a lot more caution about the tile situation and they came out to make sure it could be done. I understand that there's an opportunity cost to come out in person but I expected a premium service provider to be able to do so. That's simply not materialized.

These guys can seriously do it all! There hasn't been anything I've asked them about that they didn't know how to handle. Electrical, plumbing, appliances, repairs, installations--you name it, they know how to do it. It's such a relief to finally find one team I can call for basically anything around my house. These are officially my guys! They show up on time, they're eager to work, their pricing is great, and they actually get things DONE. Make a list, give it to them, and within a few hours you'll be amazed at how much they accomplish. They installed my dishwasher, installed a ceiling fan, put up the outdoor lights on my house, fixed my whistling shower, went into my attic to fix my dryer vent, and investigated a weird noise coming from my toilet. My dishwasher also needed some extra work because of the height of my tile, and instead of just leaving it that way, they offered to come back with the right tools and fix the tile so the dishwasher can sit flush with my cabinets. They really go the extra mile to make sure things are done right. I'm only available certain days, and they worked around my schedule without a problem. I have a professionally installed hardwired system with door and window contacts, motion detectors, and glass-break sensors. My Vista-20P panel and Honeywell keypads are still widely used, so I wanted to keep my existing equipment. I sent a fairly technical request to four different local alarm companies. Destiny Aguilar from Alarm Relay (a subsidiary of Watchlight) was the only person who responded immediately and provided a proposal with two monitoring options. I chose the plan that best fit my needs because the activation fee, monitoring cost, and equipment pricing were all very reasonable--and lower than the other three bids. She answered all of my follow-up questions promptly and never tried to sell me a new system, unlike some of the other companies. I also liked the one-year agreement because it gave me the opportunity to evaluate the company without being locked into the two- or three-year contracts the other bidders required. To make the deal even better, she included four months of free monitoring. The only caveat is that Alarm Relay ships the communicator directly to you and schedules an appointment with a technician, who guides you through the installation and testing over the phone. The installation was straightforward, the process went smoothly, and I'm now a happy Alarm Relay customer. If you're not comfortable with the DIY approach, you can arrange for one of their technicians to come to your home. There is a very reasonable charge for the visit and labor. As a nice finishing touch, Destiny contacted me afterward to make sure everything had gone well and that I was satisfied. Kudos to her for providing outstanding customer service!
