As a senior citizen, I rely on my home security system for peace of mind--but for months, my ADT system has been non-functional. I made dozens of phone calls, each taking up to an hour just to get past the maze of hold music and transfers. After finally reaching someone who could help, I was told I needed a brand-new system and a new contract. So I agreed, trusting that this would finally resolve the issue. Wrong. A technician came to my home and spent over 6 hours trying to install the system--only to tell me it wouldn't work without new motion sensors, which I had to pay for out of pocket. I was also misled into thinking the new system would work with my existing cameras. It doesn't. The best part? After all that time, effort, and money--the new system doesn't even work. It constantly malfunctions, giving false alerts and telling me doors are open when they're not. Total failure. This is a company that profits off fear, offers misleading sales pitches, fails to deliver basic service, and then has the audacity to lock you into a contract. Their "customer service" is a joke--disorganized, evasive, and completely indifferent to your time and safety. Do yourself a favor--don't walk, RUN from ADT.

I had an issue resulting from my switching Internet providers. I couldn't get things fixed using the standard instructions. I set up a service call the next day at 1pm. Finally he found the solution, while exhibiting extreme patience with both me and the equipment. He did not stop until the system was back up and fully tested. Outstanding!

When I said no, they replied "If that's what your conscious tells you then very well. Have a blessed day." I attempted to speak to a supervisor, but was ignored. If this is how ADT conducts business, it is very unprofessional.

I spoke to the owner, Mr. Feldman, directly who made sure my specific concerns/questions were addressed and answered. That is something that doesn't happen every day! Subsequently, when I had an urgent request for service yesterday because of something dumb that I did (through no fault of Pioneer I might add), they had a technician at my house within an hour!! I highly recommend Pioneer for anyone looking for excellent customer service by management and technicians who 100% know the industry and specific security systems!!

When we had to reset the camera, I had to get up on the ladder myself and reset it and then the audio wasn't working, which was a software problem in the first five months and they charged me a trip charge. I would think there is some sort of # Warranty the first year of service. The claim that my son ripped apart the system is false. He inadvertently knocked off one of the internet extenders in the first month of service. Also, I was insistent on learning how to work the software system which they became very impatient with and because of that they consider me high maintenance. I would think paying $900 for the system and installation and then $85 a quarter for service would and entail some training, however, they were very impatient. Upon further investigation, I could've had the same system for only $400 including installation and only a five dollar a month fee for surveillance service which provides the same as Alarm.com. In a nutshell I feel I was over sold on a system. I was very happy to be relieved of the 36 month contract that I signed with them.

Before the work started, I discovered there was existing wiring in the house we could use. Hani was awesome and tracked down all of the existing wires in the house and re-used them before running any new drops. They also kept any damage to an absolute minimum, making sure they cleaned up after themselves and letting me know what patching and painting might be required before doing any damage. After everything was setup and turned on, we had a small issue I discovered on Friday evening. I reached out saying let's plan to fix it and Hani immediately replied that he would be out the next day (Saturday) to get it resolved! I really enjoy working with Hani as he's knowledgeable and still open to learning new things and ideas. I've recommended TechItUp! To a neighbor already, and will continue to recommend them!

Keith responded to our inquiry promptly and came to our home to explain the service within 24 hours of our initial contact. He explained that his company operates like a referral service, where he connects homeowners and business owners to security monitoring companies, which helps ensure that you get the best deal possible because those companies are competing for your business. Also, Keith takes care of any paperwork that needs to be filed with the city, so you don't have to deal with that hassle. A minor complaint is that the installation process didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. The first installation took 3 and a half hours, and the technician seemed to struggle with the system. The technician had to come back a second time in order to complete the programming of the system (if I recall correctly, there was an issue with programming one of our doors), which was not the most convenient thing for us. Fortunately, the second visit took a lot less time. But I do think that Alarm2000 technicians could use a little more customer service training especially in showing the owners how to better use the system rather than just handing them an instructional CD. Overall, my husband and I were pleased with the purchase and installation through Alarm2000 and we have not had any issues with the monitoring company to date.
