I went in to get some car keys copied and they were very professional and efficient. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. The cost to copy the double sided key was $7.50 each. They do advise that if you are copying a car key, you bring the car in so they can guarantee it works. read more

Gerardo did an excellent job at the Santee location. I had just bought a used car from a dealership and it only came with 1 remote key. I had bought 2 new ones on my own online and brought them into them. They programmed both the remotes and cut the attached keysThey were very inexpensive and lightning fast. The dealership would have charged me at least 3x as much. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. He even let me know that there was 2 previous keys that had been made & registered to my vehicle so he said he could deactivate them. That was a relief since I only got 1 when I purchased the vehicle, that was nice of him to go the extra mile and let me know and that he was able to do that. We requested that four locks be rekeyed. When Kyle arrived, he determined that two of the locks were too old to rekey and suggested another solution, which solved the problem of having lost keys, and was less expensive as well. This review is a long time in coming. Nicholas Skala literally prevented me from going to the hospital. 3 times failed, I went to get a copy of a mailbox key took it home didn't work went back. They said they could try to make another one. If it didn't work, they would give me a refund ,at that point. I just decided to buy a new lock and have duplicates made . On a second occasion I gave them a second chance , I tried to get a brand new gate lock key duplicated, after two times failing to make a key that would even go into the lock. I just requested a refund. If Home Depot can't make the key, do not try busy bee they are not a true locksmith. I am no expert but you would think after the first failure and saying the key wouldn't even go into the lock, you would take a measurement like a caliper, etc., after 2 separate incidents and three failed attempts. I went to lynns in El Cajon. They are true locksmith , one try and the key works no problem. Save time and money and go to Lynn's ,they made the same key that BB tried twice to make and failed. They made it on the first time and sent me home with a free blank so if I wanted more it would be faster when I returned. On top of all that they are literally half the price. read more

Highly recommend! My car's keyless remote fob stopped working and I knew a dealer replacement would cost way too much, so I decided to try to repair it myself.
