I have a Baldwin lock set on my front door that uses a screwed in mortise cylinder I added a picture for reference. It is 26 years old and I am having the door resurfaced. When the person doing the resurfacing disassembled the lock, the lock cylinder would not budge. We tried the Baldwin instructions (inserting a key and screw out the cylinder) but that did not work. We called a locksmith, but they were unsuccessful as well. We used Chat GPT to find out that there are special wrenches called mortise cylinder wrenches. They are not a common tool so none of the home improvement stores had one. Chat GPT found Noble Key Supply and recommended their wrench. I called them in the afternoon (about 12:30 PM west coast time). A live person answered and I asked if they could ship the wrench across the country so I could get it the next day. They said yes and I ordered the tool. It arrived at about 11:30 AM east cost time and within about 10 minutes we had the cylinder removed. The tool worked great and the service from Noble saved the day. Thanks! read more

Twenty bucks to cut a key for a 2015 nissan versa and I brought the keys in to be cut. No programming required. So forty bucks for two cuts. lol Thanks for responding and ESPECIALLY for posting that if you call you give a price over the phone. Not true. Had she given me the price over the phone it would have saved me the drive from costco there. I had to take the keys in after telling her that I didn't need programming only the cuts. I called a competitor and he quoted me $35 to go and meet me at the Albertsons. I told him I didn't mind going to him so, he only charged me $20 total I was on a time crunch. Do what you say, say what you do. Not sour here just your employee had a bad day. No smile and couldn't even tell the shop was open even after walking in took her like ten seconds to look up and say hello. Review that day on your camera and see I'm correct. read more

I needed to have a spare mailbox key made so I visited Noble Locksmith in La Mesa and what a great decision! Lily greeted me promptly and had (2) replacement keys made in a timely manner. Went home and both keys operated perfectly. Thank You Lily and Noble Locksmith for your great service. I highly recommend Noble Locksmith without reservation read more

Great service. Great products. One of my older car's batteries died, and the emergency key didn't work (happens more often than you might think). After watching some YouTube videos on how to break into your own car, I decided to buy a long reach tool to unlock the door manually. Ordering from their site was easy, and the price was very reasonable. I was able to go to their shop in La Mesa and pick it up without having to pay shipping. - Staff at their storefront were very nice. read more

I was so pleased with Cassie and Daryl at this noble locksmith company. Daryl was so great. He was fast. He was so knowledgeable and was able to unlock and make two keys right on my driveway. He also was so friendly and kind. Just a great team all around. I also was very impressedby Kassie who answered my call and was friendly professional and just amazing. I really enjoyed speaking with her. She made sure that Daryl was here within 45 minutes. The price and the convenience was worth every dollar especially since I didn't have to give the money to Mercedes. read more

Lily was a HUGE help when my daughter somehow managed to unhook the lock on her door and we couldn't close it. AAA was going to take 2-3 hours to get to us, and we weren't sure they were going to able to help, so we called Noble Locksmith. Lily sent us a photo of the door lock and patiently walked my husband through how to manually fix the problem with a screwdriver. She saved us hours of time, money, and headache, and we can't recommend their services highly enough! read more

One of my Lexus SUV key casings needed to be replaced and when I called around, Noble had the most competitive price for a replacement casing. If you also need your casing replaced, just keep in mind that the replacement one doesn't have any car logos on it. It will be just plain black. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the manager. I also asked to have some home keys copied, which they were able to do. The prices ranged depending on the type of key ($5-7 each). Seemed a bit more expensive than the key machines you find inside a store. But, they are probably a better quality. I was asked to wait about 15 minutes, so I ended up walking around the pharmacy store next door. By the time I came back, my order was ready. Overall, everyone was very kind and helpful. read more

Noble came out right away and fixed the deadbolt knob that fell off my baldwin lock... Only if came off again two weeks later. I paid them the service fee of $89 when they first came out and when the knob fell off again, I called and asked if they could come and fix it... again. They said there wasn't any guarantee on the previous call, so I could either replace the lock myself or pay another $89 for them to come out. I chose to replace it myself. read more

came to Noble Locksmith on recommendation of a friend. i had not looked at their reviews until after i went there and their 4.9 rating is easily deserved. they were easily contacted, 2 convenient locations, and open and available on a Sunday (!!!). i was helped by Sean who i believe is the owner and his associate ?Daryl? (sorry i didn't get his name but he was GREAT!) they went out of their way to help me with a difficult auto fob program/rekey and did a great job at less than 1/2 what the dealer would have charged me. furthermore, they were very kind about answering my questions about the business of locksmithing and entertaining me while i waited. while i was stressed out about having to get a new key and the cost, they made it about as pleasant and hassle free as such an endeavor can be. Thanks Noble Locksmith!!! read more

I needed to a laser cut replacement key for my Lexus ES330. I bought the blank key off of Ebay. Lily Arizala gave me a quote that was cheaper than other places that I called. She was courteous and clear on the phone. I came in and they told me it would take about 10 minutes. Actual time felt like 5 minutes. After she made the cut, we came out to test that it opened the door successfully. I was unable to program the transponder because it was defective. Be careful buy the key fob online. Luckily, I had a spare transponder from my old Lexus GS300 key fob and I swapped it with that and it worked. I then spent about 5 minutes programming the remote and now the remote can open and close the doors. The shop is nice and clean and the Lily and her coworkers were very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you again Lily, you rock. read more

Lily is AWESOME! About a month ago, I bought a used Camry for my daughter's first car and I needed an extra key with a built in remote fob. I was really impressed with Lily's knowledge, expertise, and quality of work. First, Instead of duplicating my old worn key, Lily decoded and originated a new key, as if it was brand new from the factory. Second, she programmed the key to start the car... that was a very detailed procedure that requires specialized expertise. Then, she programmed the alarm functions of the fob to lock & unlock my car and operate the alarm. She is an expert technician... I was very impressed with her. The value of the service I received far exceeded what I paid. Thank you Lily for your patience and great service! read more

The Hyundai dealer wanted approximately $700.00 to program and laser cut a new key fob for our Hyundai Tacoma. They told us it would take about 2 hours to program the keys and the car. Noble Locksmith, located in the shopping center on Lake Murray Boulevard, completed the entire job in about half an hour for $274.50. They had to order the key and required a $60 deposit. It took about two days for the key to arrive, and about half an hour for them to cut my key and program the fob when I got there. An additional $214.50 brought the total to $274.50. far less than half of what the dealer wanted to charge me. The staff were courteous, polite, and friendly. I highly recommend them for any locksmithing needs you might have. They are true professionals. On a scale of 1 to 10 definitely a 12. read more

I am usually very wary of a company that has to include an adjective in the company description. For example "Quality Auto Repair, Honest Plumbing, or Fine Dining." Noble Locksmith is exactly as their name implies. I live up in Ventura County, but I have used them several time to get replacement keys. My in-laws originally went to them when I found Noble on Yelp and they needed some new key fobs for their older Lexus. Fast forward to this Thanksgiving and I needed a new key fob to be cut and programmed. Lilly did a fantastic job and I know I will make sure I use Noble for all my key related needs in the future. read more

I purchased a replacement key fob for my 2017 Nissan Rogue on Amazon and took it to Noble Locksmith in the San Carlos area of San Diego to be programmed. When I arrived, Lily greeted me and went to work attempting to program the fob I provided. Unfortunately, this fob was unable to be programmed due to issues with the device. Fortunately, they had the correct fob in stock and Lily promptly got it programmed and working properly. My advice, don't waste your time trying to get a better deal on a fob online, go directly to Noble - it will save you a lot of time in the long run! Lily provided great service and was very knowledgeable - highly recommended! read more

I honestly wanted to give this business a good review. Fast response, same day meetup, got my car running and with a new key. I was charged over $300 for a new key for my Prius; comparable to Toyota (and I didn't have to get towed for my mistake of losing my key) I have had nothing but problems with my key since receiving it from this business. The first key would periodically not allow me to start my car for 10+ minutes. I called them when it finally stopped working and they replaced it for me free of charge Last night when I was leaving work, the key completely stopped working. No warning. I changed the battery, prayed, cried, nothing. Imagine being stuck at work at 11pm haha The quality of key I received was extremely low for the price point; however, the customer service of the employees was great Honestly, going directly to the dealership/purchasing a genuine Toyota key is the route to go for Prius owners read more

They sold me a backup key fob 7 months ago and when I needed it the battery was dead. They charged me for a new battery even though they admitted that they should last 3-5 years. I also had to buy a new case because the main fob fell and broke and that was $35. I feel the spare fob battery should have been replaced at no charge. The guy I saw there was not friendly at all and barely spoke to me. Said I should replace both fob batteries every 12 mos regardless. I dont think this is necessarily true. read more

I really appreciate Jamie coming out. She went above and beyond helping me with my key problem.

Quick response, reasonable prices, and kind staff! Wanted a new car fob key programmed after mine broke so I sent out an inquiry on yelp to multiple locksmiths in the area. Noble Locksmith was not only the first place to respond within 5 min but also the most inexpensive. When I got to their shop, they offered to simply re-shell my old key rather than program a new one and it actually ended up being even cheaper than what they quoted me online. With me not knowing any better, they definitely could have stuck me with the original service and price. I thought that was very nice of them and I appreciated it a lot!! Thank you again, would definitely recommend! read more

The keys to our car got stolen on a Sunday and the team at Noble Locksmith quickly replied to my inquiry even thought it was outside of their normal business hours to let me know they'd be able to help first thing the next morning. The new keys were reprogrammed and ready to go within 15-20 mins and it was one big weight was off my shoulders. Thanks so much for the fast, professional and affordable service! read more

Bait and switch. Initial quote of $69 to reprogram an existing key seemed too good to be true, and it was. I brought the key in and was told "it was locked to another vehicle" and could never be used on my vehicle. I would have to buy one of their keys for $169 instead of using the one I provided. This was absolutely false. I got the key reprogrammed successfully using another service and did not have to buy a new key. Beware! Scam! read more

When my key for my older Lexus RX330 exploded in my hand I reached out to Noble for a replacement, being it was my only master key I wanted to make sure I have a back-up as if you lose your only master it is extremely expensive to get a new master as it takes a matched key to program your new key. Thankfully they were able to lazer cut the key with my just providing pictures of it. The price was well below what I expected, it worked perfectly, the customer service far exceeds what I've experienced with other locksmith's and key providers (see note below). FYI - the key still needed to be programmed as the transmitter and car need to be match but all this was at a small fraction compared to what the dealership wanted. Couldn't be happier! Now I will throw out the $15 transmitter I just bought from eBay which did not pair up to the car, careful what you buy online. The replacement key came with a transmitter inside it paired up immediately via Techstream read more

I discovered later Noble reprogramming failed to remove the MyKey restrictions on a competitor's fob. Exactly the same as before. Took it back and Noble discovered that "The Local Locksmith" fob was deficient, missing the transponder chip. I can understand why Noble refused to refund $70 paid as it was not their hardware or fault. However, Noble offered me a OEM programmed fob for $210 but refused to credit the $70 I lost. Noble has a policy of not guaranteeing fob programming! The receptionist tricked me that Noble could remove the MyKey restrictions but told me this policy this after I paid and found out it failed. I already spent $200 + 70 so I refused to spend another $210. I would still call Noble if I was stranded, as they are cheaper and better than everybody else, but I refuse business with pros who refuse to guarantee their work. Lowering rating to 3 stars. read more

I had bought a pre-owned Chrysler Pacifica and only received one fob. Feeling it essential to have a backup key, I found that the dealer could supply & program for over $400. Yikes. I guess that was out of the question. After procrastinating, I bought a new, un-programmed fob through Amazon ... and procrastinated and deliberated again.... Yes, silly me! Eventually I enquired with Shawn at Noble and received a prompt reply with the quote to program the fob. Today I drove out there. They were so friendly, no surprise 'add-on' costs and before I could walk around the block, they were done!! I am super-Happy! Everything Works! :-) Ciao!! read more

I needed a spare key and found Noble Locksmith. I called ahead to get a quote and see if there were any Covid restrictions in place. Went with Noble because they had the best price. I did call around and I was going to go with a competitor that was closer to me, but Nobles' quote was way lower. So I made the drive up from Chula Vista. What a friendly, helpful group of people. My parents needed to replace one of the key fobs for their car. Dad called the day before to confirm their hours, and when we arrived they had the correct key fob waiting for us. They had us in and out in no time with our new key, and of course we saved a fortune compared to getting a new key from (and having it programmed by) a Jeep dealer. Nice to find a place where great service and solid prices aren't mutually exclusive. They really did a great job for us! read more
