Ordered the Steamroller when we received it, it was nothing but Meatballs and bread.. Called them and told then that we didn't it get any Marina. Sandwich I ordered was as expected (perfect) like I usually order from the other location off of 287 in Westminster. Staff was jovial, place was clean and packed with hungry customers. So the owner/operator contacted us today via email after we emailed and posted on their FB page about the craziness. Heads up, people. Here's what happened: My lovely husband emailed Silver mine. Twice (update emailed after second and third phone call). The owner/operator of the Longmont location told us that he'd had to replace his entire staff, and offered us a $30 gift card. I posted on their FB page detailing the poor service. The FB page, or who ever operates it... Deleted my comment detailing the craziness of the order...and blocked me from posting on their page. It is beyond appalling to me how easy it is to get an entire delivered to my door incorrectly from these people. No matter how hard I've tried to accept them as what they are, and the inadequate service they provide. We ordered food, my husband's sandwich was correct, mine was not! Called they remade my sandwich and it was wrong again! Soup and chili and sandwiches were cold. I ended up not eating dinner at all, so over them messing up my order! Sorry really doesn't cover it! I was in tears!! Open late & delivers late too. They offer an online ordering system that seemed to work well for me. The food was good for the time of night we ordered (almost 1am). It definitely could have been better but I really didn't mind at that point because my belly was obviously screaming for nourishment. Their delivery range pretty much encompasses a vast majority of Longmont. The soups aren't freshly made but if your into the heated stuff, than go for it. A second visit during normal hours is due so I can give you a better low-down on this Silver Mine Subs. I'm still on the fence :) read more

I've been to the Silver Mine in Louisville and that location is awesome. Longmont was a serious letdown. The subs I had in Louisville were awesome. I would nearly break my jaw trying to get my mouth wrapped around the delicious meats and cheese and vegetables. The ones I ordered in Longmont appeared to have been put together hastily and had about half the toppings I normally encountered. The slow-as-molasses delivery rumors are true. My husband and I ordered two medium cold subs at 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. 4:25, still not there. We live about 10 minutes from the restaurant, and would have driven but my husband was working on one of the cars (too greasy to go anywhere) and I'd just run 17 miles so not only was I exhausted, I was STARVING. After mega-fast delivery from other places like Snarf's and Jimmy John's, sorry but I have an expectation. These are sandwiches, not 3-course meals. The driver showed up just as I was calling to find out who had fallen asleep after taking our order. Sounds like maybe they came under new management and the place is just digging itself a hole. I should of read the reviews first. I ordered at 3:30, the subs (a homestake and a dodge city) didn't show up till 5:03. This shop is less than a 10 minute WALK from my front door. I thought it kinda strange when they said it would take 45 minutes to make and deliver, then they ended up being drastically late, so my feelings changed from a little strange to just baffled. It wouldn't of taken me this long to drive to the store, get the ingredients and go home and make the same subs. My "hot" sub came cold, like, refrigerated cold, my "cold" sub was slightly warmer than room temperature. My only guess is they made them when I ordered, then one sat out on the counter and the other was thrown in the fridge till they got around to delivering my order. We ordered twice in the past week being sick- both orders were messed up horribly. We should probably call the location to complain but by the time you have something delivered (about 45 minutes) you have hungry kids and it's not worth the hassle. I figured reviewing might at least deter people from ordering on line. Maybe they mess up less in the store. We really like locations in other areas but I do not like this location. They keep ruining our orders. We asked for onions with the brocolli cheese soup on the side. The order was written down... They put them in the soup. The chicken sub we ordered came with no chicken. I think they forgot to put it on... I guess adding vegetables makes the order a little to complicated? I gave them two stars. 1 because the food can be decent. 2. because they might be better in stores. read more

I've been ordering through this Location for years. I do love the food, its decent quality and their employees are nice enough. However today was the last time I ever use them again. I waited patiently for 3 hours and my food never arrived. I double checked the confirmation email they sent me and it was all there. When I called I got an impatient woman with no answers. She "checked" and they never got the order. Meanwhile while she sighed and dealt with me I checked my bank account and I not only was food-less, I was charged twice. $40 just taken from my credit card. They "found" the order at another store but nobody bothered to call me to tell me it was an error? No they were just going to take $40 from a customer and never mention it to them. They always say itll take 45 mins to deliver and I always order with that in mind. The reality is they take at minimum a full hour. Unfortunately my patience over the years has worn thin. The manager didn't offer anything to compensate other than to retake my order. Gee thanks. You'll be tempted, but this location is garbage. read more

I am very upset with SilverMine... Today I placed an online order, totaling $43.00... After over an hour and still no food, I contacted them concerned... (My email advised me they would be here at 4pm BUT By this time it was 4:40PM..) The first man that answered placed me on hold and another male came back on the phone.. He proceeded to tell me that there was a jam with online ordering but it would be on its way soon...our food did not get here til 530pm and I placed the order at 315pm... It would have been nice to get a phone call letting me know my kids would have to wait an additional hour for their food... I was not given a discount for the inconvenience it caused... Better yet, I still tipped them 3.00 in addition to the delivery charge already added to my CC.. Looks like FireHouse, JimmyJohns or Snarfs will get our business from here on out!!! Today I meant to order 24 boxed lunches to pick up for a high school basketball away bus trip from the Silver Mine near our school in Lafayette to be picked up by 1:30pm. Unfortunately I was not paying attention when I made the call and purchased the order of close to $300 at this location in Longmont. To say the staff at this Longmont location went above and beyond would be a complete understatement. Not only did they have the order completed by 1:30pm, but because of MY mistake, they adjusted and delivered the lunches to our school which was completely out of their delivery range. It was an incredible act of customer service by the staff and in particular Wade who made my life significantly easier by doing whatever it took. Regardless of the food which I'm sure will be great, what this location did what incredible and I can't speak high enough of what they were able to do for our team and me personally this afternoon. The worst experience ever! When my husband asked what I wanted to eat I told him I was craving sub sandwiches. Since the Sub Factory is no longer around we decided to order from Silver Mine subs off of Pace. Easy order, 2 sandwiches, a cup of soup, and a side salad with ranch. It took almost an hour for them to get us our food and then there was no salad!! I called them immediately and the girl said the salad would be sent right out. After 20 minutes- we are off 17th and Meadow- they are at 17th and Pace- still no salad, call them again and they said they will send it out. WHAT?!?! Thought it was already coming!! About 10 minutes later driver knocks on the door and when my hubby tries to engage him he runs off leaving a bag behind.... And get this- "fat free" dressing with the teeny, tiny salad!!! Wow!! Ordered 5 subs for lunch waited 45 min for them to be delivered only to have one be missing. Called the store and was told we could wait another hour for one mediocre sandwich and they couldn't credit it back to the card that was used. No apology was given and nothing was done to remedy the situation. First person we talked to tried to claim that the box lunch must be in the bag after we told her that we didn't receive the sandwich. It's really frustrating that there is nothing done for their mistake. Since they can't credit the card back but can somehow put a credit on a phone number looks like I will have to eat there one more time or lose out on $11. Shockingly fast delivery especially because past orders have taken a hour or more. The sand which I ordered was the Homestake and I had soup too. Soup was average nothing special but the sandwich was terrible. I mean it's pretty hard to screw up a sandwich! But by using dry meat at an over the top price it can be done and silver mine did it. I will likely never order from here again. Not when there is subworks and deli zone as options. If you want to charge as much as these places for a sandwich you better step it up sliver mine. What a waste of money. I didn't even finish my food and I love food! Late night delivery is cool but even with a good beer buzz at 2 a.m. I am not calling silver mine. Just ordered from here for the first time, based on a co-workers recommendation. I ordered 3 medium sandwiches online for delivery. The online process was awesome- I could specify all the different options for each recipient quickly and easily. I didn't check the reviews prior to ordering (I ALWAYS check the reviews, so its weird I didn't in this case), and that's probably for the best because they all indicated sloooowwwwww ass delivery times. I'm pleasantly surprised to say that was NOT the case for me. I submitted my online order just before 1:30pm and the delivery guy was handing us our sammies at 2:05 (which was slightly ahead of their projected delivery time of 2:07). I'm not sure about the other 2 people, but my sub is super yummy. The only bummer about mine is that I specified to add sprouts (the Georgetown doesn't come with them) and they forgot to add the sprouts. It was a 'free' topping choice, otherwise I would have been annoyed that they forgot something I paid extra for. Also, the avocado is pretty hard to find, so either they put the thinnest layer ever on this or they forgot it entirely. My original review was 4 stars, so minus one for forgetting those items. Their wheat bread tastes nice and fresh and is soft. So, in conclusion: the other reviews are scary and might have been enough to ward me off, if not for my co-workers recommendation ("They have really good bread."). The sub is tasty, lots of meat in there, and the medium is a great size. All for $5.99 + tax/delivery. I'd say give it a try if you're on the fence. Maybe I just got lucky, but I'll be getting subs again from this place. read more

I have really tried to like this place but it's tough. Longer delivery times and the drivers not having change. I went in to order a sandwich there and the guy comes out from the back playing a game on his cell phone and proceeds to not wash his hands and make my sandwich. I'm sorry but that's gross! Cellphones have a lot of bacteria. I didn't eat it and I don't think I'll be back. I wish places would be more careful about food handling. I've had food poisoning and it sucks. read more
