Came here with some gal pals and it was a lovely experience! You get to select a tea and a set of light snacks and pastries. We all got the Silver Dove experience and it filled us up. Great service too! The ambience is very elegant and there's ample amounts of space. The decor is nice and we really enjoyed the tea and the smattering of small bites throughout the day. Would recommend!

Silver Dove is the perfect place for a special occasion or just for a fun afternoon meal. The inside is super cozy with beautiful rooms for the tea service. They have great selection of teas and drinks to choose from including iced options! I went with the white peach white tea which I highly recommend. I absolutely loved their seasonal choices for all the bites we had for food - everything was such a flavorful and delicious bite! The staff is really great and takes time to explain the menu as well as accommodate food restrictions. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Very cute setting and friendly staff. Not as fancy as the Ritz or Peninsula, more like their in the know cousins. Had the Falcon's Fancy which came with 2 scones, 5 savory bites ,4 sweets, a pot of tea and a cocktail or glass of wine. The bread for the sandwiches here was fresher than most places for afternoon I've been. Had the Silver Needle tea which was delicate but delicious. The cocktails were exceptional. It was delightful.

Glad to have this cute afternoon tea place in Boston. Service was great. Attentive but not overwhelming. I only ordered the petit sweets set this time and was quite satisfied with all the items. Loved the scone the most! Their house-made clotted cream paired so well with it. The Puh-er tea I had was smooth and flavorful. Overall, a great experience. Will try the full set next time.

Had an early birthday celebration with my bestie during my trip visit in July. We both got the Summer 2025 Standard Menu. You start with a scone and then you get 4 savory and 4 sweet items. I also ordered the Fuding "Yin Hao" Jasmine green tea, so tasty! I'm more of a savory fan, I loved the cucumber sandwich. Such a cute spot for you to catch up with friends! Highly recommend! Staff was super friendly. Highly recommend taking the T as it was just a short walk.

High tea was excellent in freshness. Tasty GF treats made in house and good service. Tables are very close to each other, otherwise a cute restaurant.

Such a cute little spot for afternoon tea. They offer two seasonal menus they did offer a vegetarian version). One just had a few more items on it but aligned pretty well. The tea was great, they give instruction on how long to steep got optimal flavor. I got the English breakfast but the mixed black teas is stronger and liked it more just cause I love a strong tea with cream. My fav food item was the currant scone and I have to say the cocktails were amazing. I got something with sesame I believe but the flavors just worked. It's a cute thing to do an break up the day.

Not a large restaurant at all but very cute with the front with a wall of roses. Made reservations and got seated right away. Menu is set with $48/person and came with savory and sweet treats. My favorite is the curry chicken, cucumber dill sandwich. Tea flavors are a great variety with decaf as well.

I had a great afternoon tea here! I don't think the quality took any hits at all for being completely gluten free. The price ($48) is great for a traditional afternoon tea experience and having the option to add a craft cocktail for only $9 is a steal! I loved my cocktail especially I got that seasonal spritz. Overall this is definitely worth a visit!

I walked past this place while in the area and got so excited. I have always wanted to try an afternoon tea lounge! So I made a reservation for a date night/afternoon. I am so happy we tried this place! I was delighted by the decor and cleanliness of the restaurant. The seating was cozy, they had this green velvet sofa which fit the aesthetic perfectly. There were also a few booths for larger parties. However, the tables are very close together and the noise in the restaurant does get a little loud, it can be hard to carry a conversation. I also don't like to overhear other's conversations and here it kind of is inevitable. I understand that the restaurant itself isn't particularly spacious, but I would love if the tables could be spaces out a little more? Just a suggestion. The service was good as well, our server explained the snacks and they were quick about clearing our dirty plates. Tea: we chose the option where we each get a pot of tea. They do also serve cocktails in addition to tea, but that is a little bit extra cash. I chose the white peach tea, which was amazing! I added sugar cubes as needed and it had a perfect light, fruity flavor that reminds me of spring. My bf chose the Sencha green tea, which he loved. It had a bitter and earthy flavor. The tea pots were also great at keeping the tea hot throughout the meal, and there was a special diffuser with tea inside the pot which can be removed whenever you think your tea is strong enough. Treats: you get a course of sweet and savory treats when you order your tea. They also have gluten free options and ask about allergies. I absolutely loved everything we received. My favorites were the cucumber cream canapé (salty and mild), coronation chicken (had a curry like flavor), and apple butter tart. I also loved the scones at the beginning of the meal, they were warm and the clotted cream and strawberry jam was heavenly. This course changes seasonally, so I want to come back to try what they will serve next! *I also see some reviews here complaining that they were not satisfied with the amount of food, left hungry, etc. "Afternoon Tea" is an English custom where you are served tea and light snacks in the gap between lunch and dinner. This is not meant to be a full meal! If you are looking to feel stuffed go get a steak somewhere. TL;DR: This is a fun experience for a date or just catching up with a friend! The tea is delicious and the menu has some great food. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to try something new :)

Such a cute spot and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or a special occasion! The place is quaint and cute, lots of natural light and cute velvet booths. The service was great! All the servers took care of all the tables since it's a small place. We started with choosing our teas, we got Jasmine and Earl Grey, and they refill hot water throughout. We next got the scones with jam and clotted crème which were so delicious! Finally they bring out the tower with lots of savory and sweet options. They also have extras that you can add on, which were dates wrapped in prosciutto, but this changes seasonally. All the food was very good! I'd highly recommend this experience. Also the price is very fair for the service and food, and much more reasonable than other tea options in the city!

I came here with two girlfriends a few weeks ago and it was really cute. The food was good, the tea was great, the place is small. The staff is nice but not too talkative. Things are priced very reasonably. Don't be alarmed that you don't see a sign outside the door.

Tea, service and ambiance were all good. Food was broadly good with only a couple of minor complaints. The cucumber sandwich was very salty, and overall the amount of food was quite small. We were hungry a couple of hours later.

Finger sandwiches (cucumber and chicken) along with other savory items.

The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. Yelp Review 2026 #221:…read more I first dined at Saltie Girl when it opened in 2016 and I would always eat here every time I'm in Boston after falling in love with their Lobster and Waffles. Saltie Girl used to occupy a small space right next door: a bar and a few tables. They've expanded due to their success. They even opened a restaurant in Los Angeles. I made a reservation for dinner weeks in advance. We got seated right away. The place was packed inside and the patio was also full. I looked at the menu so maybe I can try something else other than Lobster and Waffles. Everything seemed delicious. They have pasta, caviar, crab roll, lobster roll, fish sandwich, clam chowder, calamari, steak, fresh oysters, seafood tower, tinned fish, smoked fish, salads and desserts. I had my eye on the Lobster Frites so, I asked our server about it. It's basically a whole 1.5lb lobster with a side of garlic fries. So, I reverted back to my go-to Lobster and Waffles. Caviar Dip: Crème fraîche, fried shallots green onion, Saltie Girl potato chips. It's like sour cream and onion vibe but elevated. When we finished the cup of chips, we asked for more chips and they gave us a bag of chips. 4.5/5 Lobster and Waffles: This is my go-to for a reason. Lightly breaded and fried lobster served with sweet corn butter, spicy maple syrup. That butter is so addicting. You don't really need a whole lot but I use up the whole scoop of it every single time. It's slightly sweet and with the mildly spicy maple syrup? Come on! The waffle is nice, warm, crisp, golden brown. It's decadent and very filling. 5/5 Spring Crab Carbonara: Asparagus, english peas, pecorino, preserved lemon. A nice summery pasta dish. Creamy yet refreshing. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The greens were popping against a rather beige background. 4.5/5 Pistachio Tiramisu: Gluten free lady fingers, pistachio cream, toffee crunch. This is meant to be shared since it's a huge heaping pile of creamy nutty goodness. Layers of textures: crunchy pistachios and toffee on top, soft cream, and spongy lady fingers at the bottom. 4.5/5 Our server was fabulous, friendly and fast. He answered our questions and he checked on us from time to time.

In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.

My guess is that this is more of an evening destination where people come for cocktails and the atmosphere rather than lunch. We ordered a Diet Coke, the Scampi appetizer, Carbonara, and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The scampi was easily the best part of the meal. It was flavorful, cooked well, and made for a nice appetizer to start things off. Unfortunately, the pastas didn't quite meet expectations, especially considering the price. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was $28, but the pasta wasn't cooked al dente and felt overdone. The Carbonara, also $28, was disappointing as the eggs had curdled and the dish ended up being much oilier than I expected. At $18, the scampi was enjoyable, but overall I don't think the food justified the price point. One bright spot was the service. Our waitress was incredibly kind, checked in on us frequently, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a very aesthetic design. I can definitely see why it's popular on social media. There is also outdoor seating, which I imagine would be a nice option on a warm summer evening. One thing I did notice, though, is how closely the tables are spaced together. Since the restaurant was mostly empty during our visit it wasn't an issue, but I could see it feeling crowded and fairly loud once the dining room fills up. I was honestly surprised by the meal because Gigi is part of the Mazi Restaurant Group, and I've really enjoyed some of their other concepts, especially Kava Neo-Taverna. Based on this experience, though, I think there are plenty of Italian restaurants in Boston that offer better food and better value for the same price. Overall, I'd give Gigi 3/5 stars. The service and atmosphere were both strong, but the food didn't live up to the pricing. If I came back, it would probably be for drinks, appetizers, and the ambiance rather than a full Italian dinner.

She was great! Really enjoyed talking with her and she had great drinks recommendations. The food was delicious and very unique which was refreshing. Its a 2 hour experience with 4 drinks, 3 food courses and a dessert. You definitely wont be hungry after. Highly recommend for a date night.
