She came over put down place mats and then said, "and, I will be with you whenever I can." Proceeded to leave and after 10 minutes we asked another waitress if she had seen our waitress who's response was "Oh, I don't know, probably waiting on the other 100 people before you." It's a classic Kullman-style diner, manufactured right here in New Jersey, and it still features that iconic "Space Age" stainless steel exterior and neon lighting that makes your imagination run wild. It' s been family-owned since 1982, and you can feel that local pride the second you walk in. The interior is sparkling clean and manages to feel retro without being dated. We arrived and were seated right away. And then, nothing. Nada. No drinks. Not even a glance in our direction by anyone. Lots of activity. Literally every guest in our section had been visited by wait staff, enjoying their drinks, food, smiles, conversations.....but not us. In our last/final bad experience there, a member of our party went back in to find her glasses after another disappointing meal and the MANAGER was making very inappropriate insults about my handicapped brother. We have not been to this restaurant in a very long time and we tried a burger. We customize the burger, and they were quite welcoming when we were doing so the burger was humongous and what a flavor it had. It was truly a fresh juicy large burger this was no frozen hamburger. Also, the fries were amazingly hot and very crispy when they came out unlike any fries usually that I've had these fries were amazing. We also had it accompanied by a side of cheese sauce one of the best burgers I've ever had and this was one of the best times at a diner. I've experience in a long time. The Waitrose was very nice.
