Eugene is friendly, responsive, reasonable and most important of all, super knowledgeable. I described my issue to him on the phone, and he confidently said he could fix it and, even better, could be at my house on the same day. True to his word, he was able to handle the situation quickly! I wish all could tractors/electricians could be this professional and competent. Will definitely be recommending him and will be using him in the future! Thanks Eugene! read more

The owner Eugene is such a good, caring professional. When others quoted me an outrageous charge, Silva Electric charged me a very fare and honest rate. I will use Silva Electric from now on. read more

My laptop wasn't working properly but was able to pinpoint the problem to the home electricity. So an Edison tech asked me to "reset" all the circuit breakers and now half of my house has no power!! Unbelievable!!! Eugene immediately recognized the problem and was kind enough to give me a tip while on the phone in fixing the problem. Voila!!! What a genius..all power back on saving me hundreds of dollars from Edison incompetence! read more

Superb handling all around. Received a response from Eugene in fewer than 24 hours, answering all my questions patiently and with a ton of detail. Had Ricky out within a few days who was able to fix my master bathroom exhaust fan with ease, constantly checking in to ensure I was satisfied with the job. You can tell the whole team takes service very seriously and prices were quite affordable. Will be calling Silva Electric for all electrical needs going forward! read more

This is the second time I've used Silva Electric. The first time to install a ceiling fan and this time to install a couple of camera/floodlights - one on an existing box and the other where there was no existing box. My experience with the ceiling fan install was excellent. I had previously installed two fans myself, but this one didn't fit the existing box so I needed an electrician. The guys from Silva modified the box and got the fan installed. It was a bit bigger job than they had expected, but they stuck to the initial quote. For the camera/lights I was going to get a couple quotes, but I called Silva first and Eugene gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone. Since I had an excellent experience with them the last time, I didn't bother getting any other quotes - just had them do it. I was concerned about the one light that had to go where there was no box. I didn't want ugly wires or conduit running all over the place either inside or outside my house. But the installation was clean with just a short conduit run inside the garage to an existing electrical outlet. I'm quite happy with the job. read more

If you need an honest guy with excellent solutions - call Eugene @ Silva Electric ! He did an amazing job on a lighting issue in a condo we were renting - it was a chronic problem and it became a non issue ! We bought a home in the same area recently - and once again - today - his company helped us with an older home that needed updating as well as preventing fire hazards that we didn't even realize were a problem - until Michael came and fixed them ! We highly recommend them reviewing ANY property you are in - as these issues are chronic - too many affluent homeowners cut corners and it's dangerous !!! I don't understand this mentality but it creates fires and it's no joke ! Thanks again Silva Electric - you were Our Heroes today and we are so grateful for your hard work & integrity ! Michael worked non stop for 5 hours and our home is safer and cozier thanks to him ! read more

Easily deserves a five star rating. Excellent electricians, professional, courteous, incredibly efficient, and they stand by their work.

Eugene was wonderful! I highly recommend him and his crew for any and all electrical needs. We had various electrical issues (lights that wouldn't turn on and non-functioning outlets) that two other electricians were unable to identify and resolve. Eugene and his assistant took the time to investigate the issues and finally resolve them. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and overall a pleasure to work with. We will certainly use Silva Electric for our future electrical needs! read more

Highly recommend Silva Electric. They did amazing work and were super friendly and responsive.

I've used Eugene Silva for two different projects and have been very pleased with his work and fees both times. A year ago, his worker installed 2 GFCI outlets in bathrooms for electric bidets. Recently, I needed a 240v outlet in the garage for Tesla car charging. Eugene was the first quote I got but I felt obligated to get other quotes for the 240v outlet. I called 5 or 6 other electricians, mostly people who had gotten good reviews on Yelp. Wow, the quotes from the different companies were all over the place! Some electricians did not return my calls. Some electricians do not do any drywall patch and repair at all (you would think with all of the drywall holes they need to make that every electrician would be able to do basic drywall repair). A couple of electricians just weren't very customer service friendly in a couple of brief interactions just to get a quote. I sent pics to all of the electricians and most made it sound like a difficult project, perhaps so they could quote a higher price. In the end, it was a very easy choice to select Eugene to do the work. His positive attitude and confidence that the job would not be problematic was very refreshing. He and his assistant arrived on time, got right to work moving my junk out of the way to clear the workspace, had a positive attitude throughout, patched up the drywall, and vacuumed and cleaned up afterward. Every project is different and so the cost will depend on many factors including where your electrical panel is located, whether your existing panel can handle the additional load, and where you want the new outlet located. For the 240v outlet, some other electricians quoted double the price. Do yourself a favor and get a quote from Eugene! read more

We needed to replace a socket, and get another socket that didn't work to work and also work on a socket that wasn't working properly. I called and they managed to squeeze me in the same day. Ricky is the best. We needed ALL of our outlets replaced with babyproof ones, two kitchen ceiling lights replaced with new fixtures, an electrical outlet added to a closet so we could plug in our vacuum where we store it, and a plug added to our attic so we could add a light up there. He got it all done, and so fast! I couldn't believe he managed to get it all done with so few holes cut into the walls to run the new lines. I barely had to do any touch up painting. Thank you Ricky!! read more

Used Silva electric a couple times now. Always prompt in reply, friendly, and accommodating with scheduling. Would recommend! read more

I'm amazed and impressed with Silva Electric . Michael and Lesley showed up 15 min early . I was just pulling in the driveway . Perfect timing . They were there to hook up the gable exhaust fan in the attic that had been disconnected for some reason. There was also exposed wiring up there that could cause a fire hazard . I also wanted a new 2-way light switch added to the foyer to control the foyer lights from 2 locations . I also wanted an electrical outlet added opposite of the wall where there was an outlet , into the hallway where there was no outlets . They got all that done in 2 hours time, patched the hole they had to make on one wall to run the wire down from the attic to the new switch and cleaned up as if they'd never been there . Both men were polite , neat and clean and wearing uniforms with their names on their shirts . The total bill was $650 , reasonable and less than others but the quality and timeliness was exceptional . Other electricians I've called, never called me back . No problem reaching this company and I will use them again and again. I have ceiling fans I want replaced and an inferior bathroom exhaust fan I'll have them do when I'm ready . I couldn't be happier !!!! I gave the guys $20 each as a tip for their outstanding work . read more

I think I've found my electrician! I called a few places to get an estimate for how much it would cost to fix an issue in my house. I had another electrician here who couldn't find the issue after looking for 40 minutes, he then gave me an estimate of $1000+. I told the person who called me from Silva the issue and he told me exactly what the issue was and that it would cost $220. He had someone at my house within 30 minutes. The job was completed within 20 minutes. I can't thank this company enough for making the process so easy. I will definitely be using their services from now on. I highly recommend! read more

These folks are good people. Legitimately good people. If you are looking for an honest to goodness good electrician, look no further. I called in needing a quote to install an EV charger in my garage, and Eugene gave me a quote on the spot, which by the way was way more competitive than 5 other quotes I had gotten, and the work was scheduled the following day. Next day - his son Michael shows up with Leslie, and they went to work right away, no fuss no muss. The job ended up being a bit more involved than originally thought and they did not have all the parts. Off they went to get the additional parts, came back 30 mins later, and knocked out the work in a few hours. The work was CLEAN. These guys were awesome from start to finish, and get this - cleaned up after themselves on the way out leaving my house and garage the way it was when they showed up. These are my electricians going forward. Thank you Michael and Leslie! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Silva Electric. Since moving into my new home almost 2 years ago, Eugene and his crew have handled all my electrical needs from installing recessed lighting throughout, switching out and adding electrical outlets, installing ceiling fans and various other lights inside and outside my home. I called three other electricians and left messages before calling Silva. Eugene picked up on the first try. Not only did he take the call, but he sent someone out same day, literally within a couple of hours, to repair an outdoor outlet for a property that we were getting ready to list. That is EXCELLENT customer service! I appreciate the immediate response and amazing job! I also deal with a lot of electricians, and I know a good price when I get it. Thank you for affordable and great customer service! read more

I only spoke with Silva Electric over the phone and quickly realized I did not want to hire them. They said to not get a permit for a new outlet install, which is not correct. I don't doubt that he is trying to save time and money, but I am not comfortable with blindly trusting the word of a contractor these days, licensed or not. read more

I had some light switches that were installed incorrectly and found Silva Electric on Yelp. I highly recommend this company. Eugene came in uniform with an assistant and fixed the problem fast and efficiently. Two weeks later, I changed my mind on a light sensor so I called Eugene and without hesitation, he said he no problem. He sent a technician that was very polite, in uniform as well, and did the work in less than 10 minutes. It is very hard to find electricians that know their work and will not take you for a ride cost-wise. Silva will get the job done because they are experienced and they are nice people as well :) read more

First off, Eugene is a very personable man and has quite a tale to tell about his Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The conversation never kept him distracted from the quality of his work though. This is the second time we've had Silva Electric out to our home because the first job they did for us was outstanding! This time they installed 4 recessed lights, a ceiling fan, two new outlets, replaced a regular outlet with GFCI, and installed a dual light switch to control separate parts of the house. Eugene and Anthony asked us questions to make sure they got everything how and where we wanted it. They patched up the ceiling and walls perfectly. We were expecting twice as many holes in the drywall. Now all it needs is a little paint. Eugene charged us "per job" and not "time and materials". Because of our strict budget, we negotiated what the job was going to cost days before his arrival. The job only took 6 hours instead of the 8 hours we set aside for it. Silva Electric is now our go-to electrician. read more

Silva Electric is fantastic. We called them with short notice, and they scheduled us right away. We needed them to install an outdoor electric plug in/unit, and they were wonderful. They were very kind and professional; moreover, they did everything swiftly. I definitely recommend them for your electrical needs. After this first experience, we are planning to use them to install recessed lighting and perhaps helps us with wiring a new hot tub.
