Silva Electric was my final search for a quote. Angelo came to the house to provide a quote for my projects. What he did differently than the other companies was that he itemized each project rather than give me one big bill. I had a carpet cleaner who plugged his equipment into my wall socket, and as a result, two circuits blew in my house, one of which controlled my fridge. I called Silva Electric in the afternoon, and Eugene told me that it's a problem that was familiar to him and he could fix it. He quoted me a price, but said he couldn't be here until the next day. That was before he knew that the fridge was one of my issues and it was a built-in, so couldn't easily be plugged into another outlet. At that point, he told me that he could break away from the job he was working on to get it taken care of today, but there would be a (very reasonable) surcharge. When I told him that was fine, he was at the house 45 minutes later, and solved the issue in 15 minutes. It was refreshing and pleasant working with someone who not only knows his trade very well, but communicated his familiarity with the issue, gave me a price up front, showed up when expected, and solved the problem. This is the second time I've used Silva Electric. The first time to install a ceiling fan and this time to install a couple of camera/floodlights - one on an existing box and the other where there was no existing box. My experience with the ceiling fan install was excellent. I had previously installed two fans myself, but this one didn't fit the existing box so I needed an electrician. The guys from Silva modified the box and got the fan installed. It was a bit bigger job than they had expected, but they stuck to the initial quote. For the camera/lights I was going to get a couple quotes, but I called Silva first and Eugene gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone. Since I had an excellent experience with them the last time, I didn't bother getting any other quotes - just had them do it. I was concerned about the one light that had to go where there was no box. I didn't want ugly wires or conduit running all over the place either inside or outside my house.
