After an electric blackout, my heat/ac circuit was not operating. I called Silva Electric and they were at my home within 1/2 hr. They said we needed a serge protecter in addition. The bill was $580 (after my Sr. discount) and they were here for less than 30 minutes. I was glad they fixed my problem and installed a serge protecter,but they are very expensive for the time they spent at my residence. The service call was $280 (which i felt was excessive). I was having multiple electrical issues in a home that i just bought, lights flickering/appliances tripping and not working, etc etc, and i hired 3 different electricians troubleshooting for at least 30 hours spending so much money on it, and no one was able to fix the issues and all they were saying was to upgrade panel which is another 5k. I had a carpet cleaner who plugged his equipment into my wall socket, and as a result, two circuits blew in my house, one of which controlled my fridge. I called Silva Electric in the afternoon, and Eugene told me that it's a problem that was familiar to him and he could fix it. He quoted me a price, but said he couldn't be here until the next day. That was before he knew that the fridge was one of my issues and it was a built-in, so couldn't easily be plugged into another outlet. At that point, he told me that he could break away from the job he was working on to get it taken care of today, but there would be a (very reasonable) surcharge. When I told him that was fine, he was at the house 45 minutes later, and solved the issue in 15 minutes.
