I went through 4 other companies for a quote on a few projects around the house: install Tesla charger, add an outlet, add recessed lights to the bedroom, and replace a flood light. All the other companies excessively recommending more than what I was looking for. I was almost about to give up trying to find an honest electrician. I decided to try one more quote. Silva Electric was my final search for a quote. Angelo came to the house to provide a quote for my projects. What he did differently than the other companies was that he itemized each project rather than give me one big bill. I appreciated that he did that so I could see how much I should anticipate each project would cost. I appreciate their transparency. I was having multiple electrical issues in a home that i just bought, lights flickering/appliances tripping and not working, etc etc, and i hired 3 different electricians troubleshooting for at least 30 hours spending so much money on it, and no one was able to fix the issues and all they were saying was to upgrade panel which is another 5k. I was so desperate because thats the last thing i wanted to do, and i really believed there was a problem elsewhere. I've rarely been as happy with a service provider or to write a review. I had a carpet cleaner who plugged his equipment into my wall socket, and as a result, two circuits blew in my house, one of which controlled my fridge. I called Silva Electric in the afternoon, and Eugene told me that it's a problem that was familiar to him and he could fix it. He quoted me a price, but said he couldn't be here until the next day. That was before he knew that the fridge was one of my issues and it was a built-in, so couldn't easily be plugged into another outlet. At that point, he told me that he could break away from the job he was working on to get it taken care of today, but there would be a (very reasonable) surcharge. When I told him that was fine, he was at the house 45 minutes later, and solved the issue in 15 minutes. It was refreshing and pleasant working with someone who not only knows his trade very well, but communicated his familiarity with the issue, gave me a price up front, showed up when expected, and solved the problem. Michael said that most customers don't want to get them even if required. So he couldn't even give me a price to include pulling permits. They basically don't want to do it. A local lighting store recommended Silva Electric. I am very happy they did! We have a large kitchen with a lot of ceiling lights. The lights were about 10 years old, and the ballast for the CFLs were going bad. I was replacing CFL bulbs every six months or so. Not acceptable. I wanted led lights.
