I called and they picked up the second time. It was easier to order and they told me that pick up was ready in 15 minutes. I came exactly that time, and it was packed and ready to go to my delight!!! I don't think I saw any prices so if you are curious, definitely feel free to ask when you call and make your order. The spot has been here for about five months so I'm glad to try it out. It's a big bonus that there are Filipino food to grab in the area!!! All of the dishes were delicious and was filling. The home style cooking of Filipino food warmed us up. The chicken inasal comes with dark meat (leg and thigh) and it was juicier and more flavorful than others I've tried. I paired it with the pork sisig entree and the egg was cooked perfectly. My entrée came with two slices of cucumber and two slices of tomato. The pork was mostly tender. My girlfriend got the pork belly adobo. She found it to be very flavorful, but the pork wasn't as tender as she would like. Forks were forgotten to be included, but luckily, I had some. PARKING: Lots of parking lots and street parking but I walked here. SEATING: No seating as it is pick up and take out only! SERVICE: When I picked up the food, the owner? seemed very nice! The food can only be called in to pick up or through the site. I made the mistake of not knowing and walked there to scan a QR code to pick up 15 minutes later. FOOD: I ordered 3 plates of food: (2) beef tapa ($19.50) and (1) pork longganisa ($16.50). At first I thought the portion size was a bit on the smaller side but after eating a plate, it was just the perfect amount. Every bite was flavorful and bursting with perfect seasoning! I wish I had ordered another side of the garlic rice because I inhaled that so quickly! I felt that the dishes were made with love and care definitely. FINALLY A FILIPINO PLACE IN THE AREA!!!! I am such a fan of the tosilog & kwek kwek ~ 2 things I crave randomly. They also offer great classic dishes that don't miss on the flavors. While I love a good modern restaurant that does their own twist on things, sometimes you just want the stuff you ate growing up. The Calamansi Juice which was a refreshing iced citrus beverage made with Filipino calamansi fruit. The Mango Juice had refreshing iced mango that was made with mango fruit. I had to take sips in between these drinks because they were both so good and soothing. I liked the variety of the flavors and enjoyed the sweetness each cup contained! For my birthday dessert, I got two tubs of ice cream. The first was the Ube Cookies & Cream and according to the site, "This purple-hued favorite gets a crunchy remix as the perfect companion for movie marathons or when you feel like doing absolutely nothing." It is wild that this is the description because I was watching a film and lounging at the same time while taking in a few of these delicious scoops. I also got the Banana Choco Chunks ice cream, which had the description of "Like a hammock under palm trees, this creamy blend of ripe banana and rich chocolate hits all the right notes-smooth, nutty and totally laid back." If you're in the mood for some Filipino food, there are not many choices in this area. Luckily, the food here is pretty good. I ordered the chicken inasal online, and came to pick it up. It was ready at the time promised. Now this is not your normal restaurant. It's based in an office or restaurant space that is just used to prepare the meals. So there's nowhere to sit down, and you can just pick up your meal by ringing or knocking on the door. Be that as it may, I like to bring my food back to the office and eat anyways. Now come the food, it was very delicious. I've had this dish at many other places and some of them aren't up to par. Glad to say Silog Rice Above, makes the cut. Maribel, the owner, is so nice and gives you great descriptions of what type of food they sell, especially since it was my first time trying Filipino food. I went with a couple of friends, and we got Beef Tampa, Chicken BBQ plate, chicken insala, side of spam, and pork tocino. Everything was delicious! My personal favorite was the pork tocino (so tender and sweet) and the chicken insala (so crispy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside).
