So, my husband met the owner of this place at work, and he said to come on by. We drove 1.5 hours to get here. And it was absolutely worth the drive. The dough, the sauce, the calzone, the drinks, everything. The RANCH! I dunno what it is about the ranch but it's amazing. This place absolutely EXCEEDED the expectations. We pulled in thinking it would be this dark place full of sketchy people and we were welcomed warmly into a simple place with delicious food and great service. Besides desert riding we found another reason to absolutely love Quartzite! The pizza & salads were incredible! If anyone knows they will be driving through the area you must plan your trip around a meal here. When you arrive be sure to ask for Mariah. Heard about this place for years and since we were driving home from Phoenix around lunch time we stopped. We had the PMS (pepperoni, mushroom, sausage) it was so good, ate more then i usually do. Marriah S, who waited on us was amazing, she was one step ahead on everything. This place is worth stopping in. We heard the lasagna is amazing and large portion so we will try that next time. This is about the best pizza anywhere. We love stopping here but it's almost impossible to get a seat inside during the winter months. Why is that? It's because everyone loves their pizza as much as we do. There are lots of choices, service is fantastic and friendly and the pizza is delicious. Prices are very reasonable too!! Delicious pizza! Ordered the only vegetarian pizza and replaced mushrooms with pepper. I was skeptical about having Alfredo basil sauce as my base as opposed to the usual marinara but I was definitely not disappointed! The vibe was good too as they had a karaoke night going with good music playing in between. However I had an upset stomach post this meal during my journey not sure why as the pizza was the only thing I had along with water won't return but the taste is certainly good. read more

Stopped in Quartzsite to gas up before continuing our drive home to Long Beach. We wanted to grab a bite to eat (not fast food) and sit down for a bit to break up the drive. We drove past Silly Al's, Which doesn't look like much from the outside, but we thought we would give it a try, and were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted right away by the bartender Marsha, who was super friendly, and made us feel very welcome. We had a turkey sandwich and it was delicious. The menu is mostly Italian food, along with pizza. Although we didn't try the pizza, it looked yummy. They have a full bar, and also offer very good Arizona craft beers. If you're looking for a nice cold beer and great food in Quartzsite, look no further. Silly Al's will always be a stop for us. read more

Our new go to place when stopping in Quartzite - sorry Carl's Jr. - but family owned wins hands down. We arrived 5 minutes before their official closing and they graciously opened the kitchen to make us a pepperoni pizza. Pizza never tasted so good at 10pm!! In the area for a short time attending an RV show/get together. I love pizza so I was excited to see this place. Reviews seem decent it must be ok. First time we went, we called in an order for a pizza to go. Walk in and there is nobody at the "hostess" area. Oh I see the register, lets go stand there. Well stand we did. Made eye contact with several employees. One walked up looked at us, got her purse out from under the counter refreshed her makeup and walked off. After several minuets and at the point where I'm ready to just go, someone comes out of the back to help us. She was friendly and pleasant so ok, we get our pizza. We always get a half and half because hubby is a pineapple on pizza lover. I am not. He enjoyed his half, said it was good. My half was soggy and very very salty. I got salami and black olive. Maybe the salami was salty? Seemed like the sauce to me. I didn't eat my half and threw it out after one piece. Not to be detoured we went back. Again slow mediocre service and I'm not chancing the pizza again so I ordered a pizza sub. Not at all what I expected but it was good. Nothing I'd rush back for but I was able to eat it. So for me that's it. Not going back as the food was just ok and the service substandard at best. read more

I love Silly Al's - aside from a great place to meet up with friends, the food is really good. I find myself craving - yes, craving - their spaghetti! During the winter season, it can be hard to find a parking place, let alone a table inside, but if you can wedge yourself in somewhere, it'll be well worth your time and effort to get inside the door and sit down. It's a might tad easier on either end of the winter season so even if you have to wait for the crowds to disperse, it'll be worth it. I usually order the spaghetti plate with their tomato sauce, which comes with a salad and a couple of pieces of garlic bread but I've also had their pizzas and they're pretty tasty as well. Try it... We've been there twice this month and both times the Pizza was the best! First time we ordered the CL Bruschetta and it was super huge, covered the whole table! Super flavorful and a great deal! The second time there we order a L of the same! A lot smaller than the XL, so for a few dollars more it's worth bringing home the leftovers of this Awesome Pizza! We attempted to go to Silly Al's during the week the big tent opened, it was all but impossible to get in the parking lot much less the restaurant, we ended up leaving Quartzsite without experiencing Silly Al's. After some further travels, we were able to return to Quartzsite and experience Silly Al's several weeks later, we are glad we did. We were able to eat here twice in one week. The first time we got pizza the second time we got appetizers (Chicken Wings and Garlic Bread) and a sandwich (Chicken Pesto). Both times we came we sat at the bar and the service was extraordinary, we had two different bartender/waitresses and both were awesome. The pizza was very good, we got a medium half and half. My half was sausage and chicken, the wife had Pineapple and Mushroom. The sauce was great as was the crust, the cheese and toppings were plentiful. The sausage was flavorful but the chicken got lost in the cheese and sauce not adding much to the flavor. While at Al's the first time I was scoping the food being delivered to other tables and knew I would be back soon for some garlic bread and wings, I also noted the MeatBall appetizer looked fantastic but never got a chance to give them a try (it will be tops on the list next time). So two days later we were back looking to try out the scouted out goodies. They sell the chicken wings by the dozen and you have an option of hot or BBQ, I opted for hot. They came out looking great, good size wings plenty for a meal. I got the Blue Cheese and it was far better than average partly due to the large chunks of blue cheese found within. The wings were well sauced and the sauce had good flavor, not too spicy even for the wife. The only disappointment was the wings were not crispy, they would have been perfect otherwise. The garlic bread was plentiful, garlicky but not overly so and very cheesy. The combination of Garlic bread and wings made for a very good lunch, not as satisfying as the pizza we had two days earlier, mostly because the wings were not crispy and the pizza was so good. I would highly recommend Silly Al's to anyone in the Quartzsite area. read more

Pizza is very good. Pick up takes a while as they are very busy. I would not eat in, its very noisy.

The food was excellent. I had the best Ruben sandwich (homemade sauerkraut) I'd had in a long time. Rest of the party had pizzas but I had a taste... they were sooo good. Crust was perfect and had fresh ingredients. The garlic cheesy bread was amazing. Their summer cider was oh-so-good. Everyone loved the food. The service was awesome also. Thanks Mariah! So glad we found this gem on our way from California to Phoenix. Definitely recommend for those who appreciate mom-n-pop type restaurants with character and delicious food. read more

Silly Al's is one of the main reasons I make the trek to Q. They have some of the best pizza. I recommend the "taco" pizza or the Philly pizza. An absolute MUST tho is the garlic bread. Every group of friends I bring along and introduce to it has loved it. read more

Ok, first off Silly Al's really but it works. Here's the food and bad or not so bad. We were seated right away next to the ladies room I mean literally 3 feet from the door. The door by the way which had a broken closer so each time someone came out the door stayed open giving us full view inside. So we just room turns yelling at the women coming out read the sign and shut the door. Waitress was awesome drinks right away and help with our pizza order. Drink refills every 10 minutes as we waited and waited and waited and waited some more. All the pizza is served hot and fresh which is a good thing but you will wait and wait and wait. If not for the bathroom door follies we might have been bored. Also the place is really really loud some would say energetic but loud covers it. Great place!! They seem to get really busy in the evening, probably because it's the only place around that serves decent food. I got a meatball sub and it was really good. The fettuccini pasta was really bland. But the rest of the food was great. Def stick to the pizzas and sandwiches. read more
