River Willow at BlueWater Resort & Casino is essentially the only upscale dinner option in Parker, so your expectations need to be calibrated accordingly. We tried the seafood risotto and the stacked prawn salad. The risotto was rich but leaned mushy for my taste, and the wine reduction overpowered the dish. The prawn salad was refreshing but had too many competing flavors that didn't quite come together. Service was solid, and the ambience is pleasant though dated. Certainly about what you'd expect from a casino restaurant in Parker. Given the quality, the prices felt a bit steep. Our second time visiting River Willow and it was outstanding! We felt lucky getting seated immediately on a Saturday night, the hostess offered us a table as no booths were available. Hungry folks don't care where they sit!! Service was slow! We sat for quite some time before a server approached and said he'd be with us shortly. He tended to two other tables, checking in, chatting, clearing plates and taking checks up to the hostess before finally returning. The rest of our time there was pretty much the same, didn't see much of him. The food though, it definitely made up for the service and we will be back again because of it!! We started with the coconut shrimp and it was everything I wanted it to be! Crispy, just the right amount of coconut and melt in your mouth tender. The mango sauce was sweet and the tiniest of kick every once in awhile to keep it very interesting! Hubby had a perfectly cooked and seasoned ribeye and I had the lobster ravioli. It was loaded with lobster and the creamy pesto sauce was rich and divine! The portion was huge providing me another meal the next day! Most of our food was terrible. The vegetables were very overdone. I had to spit out most of my asparagus and the flavor was icky. My friend's broccolini was very overdone also. My husband's fish was overdone even though he asked for it to be medium rare so that it wouldn't be overdone. They replaced it and it was a bit better but not great. We've been here six or eight times for special occasions and loved everything. What a disappointment, since we were celebrating a friend's 83rd birthday. My filet mignon was good but not great. The place makes you feel like you are at a very fancy restaurant not a casino. When you go you can't be in a hurry because there is plenty of time in between plates. But the servers are very nice. Restaurant was elegant and clean. Great ambiance. Food was great. Portions are large and well worth the money. DO NOT ORDER THE SKINNY MARGARITA. I thought it was going to be as good as El Toritos but it was horrible. I did not drink it and chose to call it a lose. I specifically ordered sautéed broccoli with garlic in my fettuccine and received steamed tri color broccoli mixed in the fettuccine. I kept the dish once it was brought out to not be the only one staring while the rest of the group eat. Waiter was rude about correcting the issue or acknowledging the error. Nothing was removed from my bill nor was offered a discount or anything. I was very surprised with the bad customer service. I personally wouldn't go back on my own. I took my parents out to this steakhouse for our thanksgiving trip after an evening of gambling. The service was attentive and friendly. The food however was no where close to what you would expect for the prices. I order the pork chops and after 15 mins or so was told they were not able to serve them as they were bad. So then I got the NY Strip and it was extremely tough.l serve red medium rare. The manager offered a free dessert to apologize for the steak and the carrot cake was frozen. My mother had ordered the shrimp scampi and got something closer to shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. The wedge salad was yummy and the French Onion soup was good. The value of the meal was not there at all. When you spend $35 for the steak, $6 dollars for the potato, and $12 for a salad you would think the food was going to be impeccable it was not anywhere close. Friendly service, but abysmal food. My wife and I took my dad out for Father's Day/birthday dinner. The bread was honestly the best part of the meal. Dad and I each had the $50 bone-in ribeye. Dad likes his rare, I like medium, both came out medium well and full of chewy gristle. We could barely saw through them with the steak knives. My wife had the lollipop lamb chops with green chili risotto. Her lamb chops were cooked to death and so thin there was barely a single bite of meat on each one. All the sides we ordered were awful. Bland mashed potatoes with no sauce of any kind, "glazed" carrots that were raw and swimming in watery syrup, the risotto was completely overcooked, no creaminess at all, and totally overpowered with the chiles. The sautéed Brussels sprouts had no color, were raw, looked like they had never seen a hot pan, and still had the woody stems attached. Three people, $270. I felt obliged to tip as the wait staff were friendly and attentive, but the food was just awful. The chef and manager should be ashamed if this their best effort. I have had hundreds of meals that blow this place out of the water for a fraction of the completely over-pretentious price. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! 0 stars! read more

Ive grown up coming to the blue water hotel. Ive alwAys seen the steakhouse here but we were never really sure of the quality. We decided to try it for my birthday. We called for a reservation and they were open being it was a thursday. Once we got there the only reason im giving them 4 stars is because we waited At the door for 10 minutes before being Acknowledged. Some of the servers saw us and dodged coming to help us... once we were seated we ordered. I ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms which were amazing! And almost everyone ordered steak someway- they were all really really good! Being that this is one of the only nicer resturants in the area that i know of id definately come here again Came for a 2nd time and everything was wonderful! We tired the stuffed mushrooms and the coconut shrimp for appetizers, tried the lobster bisque soup, I had the mashed potatoes and the salmon for dinner my husband had the end cut prime rib with fettuccine alfredo and my son had the fettuccine alfredo! This place is a joke, ridiculous. We had a reservation at 8:30 and at 9:15 we were STILL not seated. Half of our party bailed out because of the ridiculous wait time, so when I asked again about our table we were told they couldn't fit a party of 4 ( when our original party was for 6, what sense does that make ?) Also the restaurant was almost completely empty, the hostess was the rudest, more arrogant person I've ever met. He told us that they were still cleaning from the "rush" earlier. Wow was very impressed this is the first time we ate here. They were very busy with 2 big birthday parties in the back room, we still had great service. I ordered the coconut prawn appetizer I got 4 huge prawns that were the best coconut prawns I have ever eaten and I have tried a lot of them in quite a few states. They came with a dipping sauce that was a little spicy for me but these prawns were so great they needed no sauce. We were seated and we sat for 30 minutes... we were never served by any waiter. We all got up a left. I'll never return. A gem of a restaurant in the Bluewater Casino, Parker Arizona. We had a party of 4 with a 7:00 PM reservation. Upon check in we were seated right away. Nice touch. Our waitress greeted us right away and took our cocktail orders. I had "The Collins's" which was a vodka Tom Collins with a wedge of lime. Excellent and refreshing. My wife had the salmon, I had the filet. I would rate both of these as a ten. The filet literally could be cut with a butter knife and the flavor was out of this world. The service was excellent and the manager even came over to ensure all was going well. The ambiance was subdued, and low volume easy listening music made sure not to interfere with conversation. I've been coming to the Colorado river from Needles to Blythe for 53 years and have eaten in just about every restaurant between those cities. Was greeted at the front gentlemen was very polite and said it would be best to make reservations but can try to fit us in and he did very small wait time. I ordered the steak and pasta.
