Tonight was my first time here. To escape the midday heat while traveling i got a hotel instead of my usual pit stop. After settling in I decided to grab some grub and some wine. Looking online it seemed this was the only place open so I wasn't expecting much still happy to go somewhere. I was pleasantly surprised. The vibe was family-friendly in the restaurant side and just had an all around comfortable feeling. I sat at the bar and was greeted by sunshine in human form. Marsha is what customer service is all about. And the BLT I got was delicious! I always stop and do the tourist thing when driving through and now I will make this gem a must do everytime. The pizza was just okay, but the service attitude was extremely bad I will never come again! Here's what happened: 1. The server seated us at a two-person table that was very wobbly. At the time, I didn't think much of it, but looking back, it felt intentional. 2. We arrived at 12:45 and ordered a medium-sized pizza and one Coke. After she brought the Coke and water, we waited until 1:20. I asked another server about our pizza, and she said she would let our server know. After another 8 minutes, our server came over, expressionless, placed the pizza on the stand, and walked away without saying a word. At that point, I thought maybe she was just busy, so I didn't think much of it. But when we finished eating, my husband went to the restroom, and I got up to pay. I was looking around for our server when I saw her walking straight toward me with the bill and a plastic takeout box. Without saying a word, she placed them on the table and left. It felt incredibly rude. Now I feel like she was inexplicably rude to us the entire time, and I suspect it might be racial discrimination. Either way, I will never go back to this place! read more

Service was great and the food was good! The server was sweet and brought our food out quickly. It was pretty empty in the restaurant but started to pick up as we wrapped up our meal. Fairly surprised by this place. The pizza was being hand thrown in the back and came out delicious. My friend who ordered the pizza said it was one of the best they have had in a long time, but I didn't get to sneak a bite myself. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, which was also pretty loaded and tasted fine. I've driven by Quartzsite hundreds of times at the least but never really stopped anywhere besides for something quick. This time we decided to check it out and found Silky Al's. It looks very unassuming. We honestly would've passed it if it wasn't for the sign. It's got a good size parking lot. It was quite busy inside. We have to sit at the bar. There are a few TVs pool tables and full bar as well as your family seating as well. Service was very friendly. We had drinks and menus right away. the vibe was really laid-back in the small town field is definitely there. We went straight for the pizzas. It's all the reviews said how great it was. Everything came out pretty quick. The pizza was delicious even with all the toppings. The bottom was crispy. We did order a small since there was only two of us. I could see it maybe getting a little soggy if it's not too long, but it was delicious and the flavor was great . After we are done, we are talking about stopping again on the way back home in a few days from our trip. We already wanted to try some other things we saw come out and we did just that two days later we came back ordered a pepperoni pizza this time instead of the meat lovers some hot wings, which by the way, come baked, but we're pretty good size and great flavor again as well as their strawberry shortcake. Stopped into Silly Al's Pizza in Quartzsite with my girl and had a really great experience. Our waitress Kenzie was fantastic -- super attentive, friendly, and right on top of everything without being overbearing. She recommended the pastrami sandwich and I'm glad I listened. Absolutely delicious. Piled high, full of flavor, and cooked just right. I also ordered the potato skins and those were just as good -- crispy, loaded, and hit the spot. You can tell this place is run well. The food came out quick, everything tasted fresh, and the whole place had a good, relaxed vibe. What a great stop for pizza and live music. We ordered a medium meat lovers, salad, and must try cheesy bread. The food was a little slow to get delivered, but I will admit it was worth it. When we pulled up we were thinking it didn't look so good but went in anyways. They were very friendly sat us right away. There are pool tables TV's and a full bar. It's not crazy loud in there. I ordered a turkey sandwich. The waitress said she ordered one for herself too. Hers was on rye pepperoni,tomato sandwich,bacon, cheese lettuce. It was delicious! Silly Al's Pizza seems to be the happening place in Quartzite. Hubby and I decided to try it for dinner while visiting Quartzite for the first time. Hubby had the wings. While he reports they are delicious be warned that it takes an extremely long time for them to arrive. We waited darn near an hour. I had the veggie sandwich. No marinara and a side of Mayo. I thought there weren't many veggies in it but it actually tasted quite good. Wr also tried the potato skins. Hubby was kind enough to remove the bacon bits from them for me. They were very good. However, we were told the wait for our pizza would be 45 minutes, and when we went to check at 30 minutes, it seemed like the pizza had been sitting out--it was cold by the time we ate it. On the bright side, their garlic cheese bread was absolutely delicious and ended up being the highlight of our meal--we actually enjoyed it more than the pizza! I accidently found this place coming back from Phoenix to Lake Havasu my name is Al and I saw the sign so I stopped in with my friend the ambiance is awesome the staff is wonderful and the food is out of this world the pizzas are great I'm originally from Chicago and it's the closest thing I've had to a real homemade pizza in Chicago the cabbage was about a hundred miles away and I've gone there 3 years in a row on my birthday just to get pizza and take home if that tells you anything this is definitely worth a visit. We popped in after tanking up our SUV at Az prices right before crossing into Calif. Looked up some local eateries and came upon this 4-starred option. We ordered two baked subs via phone while pumping gas, so that we could maintain our driving pace: the Italian Stallion ($15) and the meatball ($14). Note: they require full payment over the phone for pickup orders The food was ready upon arrival, in less than 15 minutes as promised. The interior on this Thursday mid-afternoon was 80% empty, with just a handful of older bikers at the bar and none of the 15 or so tables were occupied so we opted to sit and eat. The sandwiches were very good (a solid 4/5) with the only complaint being their smallish size for the price. I would estimate they are approximately 9-10 inches long and carried a decent, though not overwhelming, amount of meat. There was a bartender and 2-3 staff. None checked on us the entire time despite sitting close to the kitchen/cashier area. Parking is ample/free. Bathrooms are old but clean. The music leans toward country/western. Wood paneling everywhere and ceilings are low. read more

This is the second time I've been here. Not really a fan. The pizza is ok, service what you'd expect at a hole in the wall. This time, though, the were slammed. I had the audacity to ask at the desk how long the pizza would take. They said it'd be 30 min. I said, "cool-about how long to be seated for two?" The lady I spoke with sighed and said, "I don't know." I waited a beat, thinking that surely any person with the tiniest bit of intelligence would provide slightly more information. Nope. My 76 year old mother, traveling with me to move to assisted living told me to go wait for this ridiculous pizza. I took my monster energy drink in. This place has great ratings purely for its location. This "town" is an RV park with a towning problem. What I mean is, this place doesn't need to try very hard to be incredible. The pizza is fine, but won't blow your mind. The beer selection is fine, but won't blow your mind. The service is pretty good, even when their busy. In fact, I seem to have the complete opposite take of most folks that visit here. I thought the pizza was mediocre and the service was fantastic. This place is always crowded during RV season. Not bad for stop on the way to / from PHX. I got a dinner salad and a Philly cheesesteak. Both were pretty good and the dressing was tasty. I ended up dipping the sandwich in extra dressing I got. You could do worse for a stop off and this is much better than MCDs or some other fast food. It's not far from the freeway and the food came pretty quickly. Oh, my! Even though we live way away from here in Michigan, this is about the fourth time we have had a wonderful pizza meal at Silly Al's, and it did not disappoint this time. It was my husband's birthday so we had a big pizza with beers and enjoyed ourselves with the delicious food and friendly prompt service. It was busy, but we didn't have a problem getting a place to sit or the food coming out timely. Thank you, Al',sfor another great experience. I most always stop when I'm on my way home to Yuma. A good place to cool off and wait out the heat. They got one of the best meatball sandwiches I've ever had. The beer or soda is always good N cold and shows up when ask for it.
