Cool little spot on the way home from AZ to CA, stopped in on a Monday afternoon and they were so busy! Our waitress was really sweet and the food was great! My husband got the stagecoach burger with the homemade curly fries was super impressed with the burger, he wasn't crazy about the fries but i thought they were really good! I had a cup of their soup of the day it was spectacular, almost ordered more to go because it was so good! We also ordered the fried mushrooms, they were good but definitely not as good as the rest of the food. Overall it was a great little spot, we'd definitely come back again for the great food! Ps. No bathrooms unless you want to use a porta-potty, which I didn't after walking inside of it, turned around and want to the gas station instead. Only reason it's getting a 4 out of 5 stars! This place is a tricky one to find as the street does not have a sign that shows there is an actual small restaurant located here. Free parking is available everywhere in this small desert town. We arrived during the lunch hour but we were still able to order breakfast. We ordered a veggie omelet, sough dough bread, and French toast. The food is prepared outside in a small container and brought in by the waitress or cook. The food was pretty good and this order was enough to fill us both up. Visited 10/4/2025 Hi my Yelp Friends Just want to say I tried the Burgers at Scooters In Quartzite after seeing a post about one of their Special Burgers. Well here's the good and bad about our visit. The Good. We tried two of their burgers and they both were fantastic in flavor. We will be visiting again to try more of the menu. The Fries were crispy and fluffy inside. The Onion Rings were Excellent. Couldn't stop eating them. The staff were very friendly and the prices were very fair. There is seating inside and out. Now the Bad. The Burgers could be presented much nicer. Needs some improvement for sure. The Buns were not the nice Fluffy Buns shown in the adds. A bit smashed. Thats my only complaint The finale Burger Photo is from their Adds. A bit different than what we got. All in all the burgers were well worth going for. We ate here for a 2nd recently and found they have a secret daily special menu that I totally forgot to get a Pic of but will be back soon as they open up again to get it. Stopped at Skooter's with our party of four and the owner seated and greeted us promptly and warmly. Everything on the menu looked great, and I got the breakfast burrito special and it was ample and very tasty! Lots of local artwork on the walls are for sale at very reasonable prices, and one of the friends in our party fell in love with a very nice desert landscape scene and bought it on the spot! My husband ordered the special of the day which was a beer cheese burger with grilled onions on a pretzel bun & curly fries. I had the Hobo which is a blue cheese burger with grilled onions & bacon jam with garlic aioli & rosemary fries. The burgers & fries were yummy! Hospitality was also great. We were driving back to AZ and wanted to try a non-chain place and found Skooter's. If you come at certain times of the year you can try the Camel burgers, yes actual camel meat. They didn't have it when we were there. We did do the Tex Mex and Cajun King burgers. Comes with fries for $15. I suggest the rosemary fries. Great flavor. The burgers were large and a bit messy (lots of melty toppings) but had great flavor. The order was fresh and made quick. This could be classified as a "dive", it's been there awhile and it's a small town. They told us they were moving to a bigger better location so we might have to try that out next drive to Cali. Worth the stop. **UPDATE: when I call this place a "dive", I mean that in a good way. I love the show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. When I say "dive" it means it's a small (I think there were 3-4 indoor tables), it's a no frills place (we had a conversation with the owner about the camels and camel burgers), what you see is what you get. Not a white tablecloth/lace napkin or porcelain plate kind of place. Great small town feel restaurant. read more

I'll keep it brief....not clean, no working bathroom (porta potty), and flip buzzing around. The food....greasy, tasteless, low quality, and overpriced. Worst dining experience I've had in years. The waitstaff was friendly enough, but it took 35 minutes to get our food even though we were the only ones in there. I ordered a southwest wrap (basically a salad in a tortilla) and the chef brought me a quesadilla.. when I asked about it, she said "Yeah well this is basically the same thing but with no lettuce. It's reeeeally hot in the kitchen right now.. Do you really want me to go remake it???" Not sure why it was that hard to make me the correct order in the first place... my boyfriends chicken sandwich was terrible and they mixed up our French fry requests too. Food was really good! You can tell the chef takes pride in how well the food is cooked as well as how it's presented. They are pet friendly which is the main reason we chose to stop here and try this place out on our way back home to California. They have indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of tables and very friendly staff. Will definitely come here again next time we go to Arizona! read more

The Camel Burgers are the real deal and delicious. Best Deep Fried Mushrooms I have ever had. The rosemary fries were delicious as was the garlic aioli that came with them. My wife got the Monte Cristo which was delicious. It wasn't a sponge soaked in grease like so many we have had in the past. The curly fries were long curly, crispy shoestring potatoes, delicious. We had a party of 8...3 of us got the camel burgers and we all loved them. Everyone liked what they ordered and the staff was amazing. We ate in their dining room and in our group, we had hamburgers and coconut shrimp. The hamburger is made with high quality ingredients and is delicious. The coconut shrimp was the best I've ever had. The service was great. We were waited on right away. The food came out hot and pretty fast considering everything is made fresh. We're in Quartzite right now and I think this is my first time posting a restaurant review, but alas not good news! We went to Skooters Cafe for lunch. There were a couple of open tables inside and no one sitting outside! No one smiled at us when we walked in or for the entire duration of this visit! We waited about 5 minutes to have our order taken, then we waited at least 10 to 15 minutes after we ordered for the waitress to tell us they were out of coconut shrimp! I changed my order and we waited another 10 minutes! We had to leave to run another errand at which time the waitress told us it would still be another 10 minutes! We paid, didn't leave a tip and told them we would return for our now to go order! We came back in about 15 minutes and the waitress carried our order to me as I got out of our vehicle! There were also other customers requesting to go orders, because the lady sitting behind me when I arrived asked for her order to go! There was a tray of food sitting behind the counter for a while, I can only assume that others were just walking out without paying! I will be honest and tell you the food is good, but the service is terrible and for almost $33 for a wrap with fries and 6 shrimp with fries, we will never go back! Efficiency and organization would help this place out a lot! I have a few pointers! read more

Well we chicken'd out (pardon the pun) and had a regular burger and curly fries! The burger was so good. She puts a special sauce on it that is so yummy, resembles 1,000 island but way better!
