Stopped for a quick lunch pick up. I spoke with the super nice owner and she recommended the chicken salad sandwich. It is deliciously creamy and the tomato and lettuce really balanced it. I love that when you walk in, the cinnamon rolls are front and center. You might want to show up before lunch so that you have the pick of the lot. Let's get to the main event. The cinnamon roll is so fresh and fluffy. I'm so glad I ordered one. She heated it up and as soon I got back into the car, I devoured it. It was so light and fluffy, I could've eaten 2, but would've had a sugar hangover. I'm glad I got one. On my drive back through Quartzite, I'll probably get another one. Read some reviews and had to see for myself self, and buy am I glad I did. The cinnamon rolls are the best I've ever had. These are the so light and fluffy. Usually cinnamon rolls are dense and very sugary, not these. I could easily eat the whole thing in one sitting. The people there are also so friendly. "Basics" is a new coffee place in the same building as the Main Street Laundromat. The prior space used to be more of a full service restaurant. As the name states, it is just the basics, coffee, tea, bagels, muffins, sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, hot dogs etc. Super clean inside with friendly owner and employees. Very good prices, with seating inside or out. Bagels w/ cream cheese were delicious as well as the hot coffee. I highly recommend "Basics" even if you don't need to do laundry. BTW- It is completely separate from the laundromat so it is. Ice and quiet. read more

Perfect little pit stop on the drive between Los Angeles & Phoenix!! I LOVED the iced vanilla latte.... i've tried a lot of lattes and this is seriously one of the best ever. Best for to-go/take-out. Got turkey, cranberry, cream cheese sandwich on multigrain. It was delicious with homemade cranberry sauce, like British high tea sandwich, but much bigger. Hubby got BLT Wrap-said he would get it again. Unfrosted cinnamon roll was also very good. Owner gave me butter for the cinnamon roll and it was perfect. If I want a sweet treat next time, I'll try it frosted or the maple pecan cinnamon roll. Cold brew coffee with cold foam was also good.
