Located near the famous Baker Street Station, we stopped by this spot while meeting a friend and…read moredecided to grab a quick bite. The place was quite busy, and interestingly, the same person taking orders was also cooking. It's a very small setup--definitely not meant for dining in. The vibe is more like "grab your food and head out." We ordered chicken egg fried rice and chicken chow mein. Watching the food being cooked right in front of us was fascinating--quick, high heat, and full of action. Once we got our order, we sat outside to eat. The first thing I noticed was that the food was quite oily. More disappointing, though, was that I couldn't find any chicken in my fried rice--even though I had paid extra for it. I went back, showed them, and asked if chicken had been added. They bluntly said "yes" and didn't bother to check further, which was frustrating That said, the food itself tasted good overall. It's just that the oiliness and the lack of proper service took away from the experience. I wouldn't say I won't visit again--it feels more like an off day--but I was definitely expecting better service.

I ordered the Chicken Katsu over brown rice with Szechuan sauce. It wasn't too spicy and had a good portion of protein. It took about 10 minutes to wait for food. Be cautious if the line gets long- you may be waiting 30 minutes in total, given there aren't many grills and the kitchen can get backed up.

The noodles were cooked perfectly, it was bursting with good flavor, and the vegetables added a really good texture to the noodle dish. I kept it vegan and did not add any protein. She was really friendly and went out of her way to try and help us download the app and familiarize us with the menu. Otherwise, this would definitely get a one star rating Overhyped, and extremely overpriced unauthentic "pho". They use fish, chicken or mushroom. Sure, it might taste like PHO, but it is definitely not authentic as they say it is. The food is lacking in taste and quality. It taste so cheap. It might cost five dollars from a street vendor. Instead of cost over $30. SAKUSAKU duck noodle dish cost it over 21 pounds which is about 25 or $27 USD and I barely had any sauce and it was extremely small portion. I think it's meant for a eight-year-old kid. I think I could eat like three of these even if I wasn't that hungry. Lastly, the service is terrible. We got seated and never got our waters. Refill never got attention, this place sucks do not eat here. I would rather go to the McDonald's across the street.

Afternoon Tea @ The Connaught…read more As part of birthday celebrations, I booked the reservation (highly recommended) at least a week ahead. Arriving, I was thoroughly pleased to have dined on the terrace, with its vibrant stained glass in the wonderful London sunshine! (Sunshine, rare... right?) :) Curated by Michelin Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten, the experience, of course, includes finger sandwiches, scones and sweet treats. The setting is polished, the staff - courteous & eager to assist with the myriad of selections, tailoring to one's preferences and/or willingness to explore outside of the norm. Starting with champagne of your choosing, the amuse bouche follows shortly thereafter. Following that, one is encouraged to try as many teas as possible, several being sourced from Southeast Asia, amongst the British standards. The finger sandwiches were surprising in flavor vibrant, save for the standard cucumber sandwich - being quite bland as it was. The teas I savoured were most delicate and not overpowering. Promptly, the tea tower arrived with scones and playful sweets. The scones, fresh and warm, were served with clotted cream, apricot and strawberry spreads. Imho, the strawberry could easily be replaced by a more unique flavor - boysenberry, pumpkin, gooseberry - anything other than what we can find in our local grocer. If Chef is going for a singular experience, this is a great talking point. But the two flavors served, didn't take away from afternoon tea, either. On to the sweet delights: Full disclosure, I wanted unique presentation, and these served. Of all the deserts, only one fell flat. The varied in flavor intensity and texture, making each new one a surprise for the palate. I was surprised at the manner of dress, as some dined in jeans, though most dressed for the occasion. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend. BON APPÉTIT
