Oh my lord. This place is really, truly awful. It's one of those bars that you end up in through no fault of your own and spend much of your time there wondering how it is that other people ended up their through no fault of their own, or - the horror - did they go, and stay there voluntarily?!!
Where to begin with the awfulness..
- It's difficult to find (which is par for the course in Lisbon), but it was really raining hard outside and the door man stood and watched small groups of us in turn trying to find the place, until we literally stepped inside the door. The first group told him that the next group would be looking for the place, and so on. Never once did he stick his head out the door to help them locate the place, and when everyone eventually did; the reception was frosty at best.
- We got bottle service as there were a lot of us (caution: prices are Vegas-style; in around 200 euro for a bottle of vodka). Unfortunately however, although you're paying big money, the service doesn't match. We had to repeatedly ask for mixers, the ice kept running out, it was really difficult to locate a server when we needed one, and the table wasn't cleared the whole time we were there, so it looked like the scene from a party from the night before.
- Again, service echoed the doorman - cool and SO unhelpful.
- Music-wise, it's dance around your handbag cheesy house. Awful. Unless you're into that kinda thing.. are you?!! Is anyone?!!!
The Club gets two stars because of the view. It's spectacular. My advice - if you want the nice view; go, have a cocktail (singular) and get the hell out of there. Or, go to Park, and enjoy THEIR view, atmosphere and lovely service. (I know which option I would take!) read more
