Speakeasy bar located in Barrio Alto in Lisbon. Met up with some friends we met on an excursion that day and we wanted to go out for a drink at night. It's not marked and you ring a doorbell to go inside. Service was great, they accommodated our large group and checked in on us. They had a full bar and the whole place was surprising, so many different knick knacks and items, mirrors, and rooms. There's a pool table in the back and there are QR codes to check the menu. A lot of us got beers, I got an espresso martini and there are tons of cocktails to choose from. I appreciated that the music wasn't so loud so we were able to have conversations and hear each other and we were able to sit comfortably with a large group.

Ring the doorbell to get in this speakeasy. I got in close to their closing time, but they were nice and still let us in. They have lots of nicely decorated rooms inside with lots of comfy seating. They had an extensive menu of cocktails accessed by QR code. They have free WiFi! Bathroom was near the bar. We asked for a glass of water, but they never brought it to us. This place is worth checking out. One of the people in our group described it like a museum because of the random collections they have displayed here.

DO NOT PASS BY! Pavilhao Chines is one of if not the most unique speakeasy (bar) not only in Lisbon but perhaps in all of Europe. The atmosphere is incredible. SOOO many unique nick nacks, collections from everything imaginable. Too many to even mention what they are. The service was great as we sat at the bar in the middle of the place. It's broken down into many smaller rooms. Don't just stop at the bar, even more. We didn't eat anything but we had a couple of wonderful cocktails. The bartender was very nice and explained the history of the place. I could get into it but I would not do it justice. PLEASE check it out for a once in a lifetime experience.

This place wows visitors with the cabinets and cabinets of curios: trinkets, toys, memorabilia of time bygone. The menu is also impressive in its heft, a long list of drinks from tea to cocktails to whiskey and more. Less awesome is the service, which, as some others noted, somewhat non-existent. We felt we may have melted into the large cushy sofas the way the waitstaff seem to not notice us. I was in the mood for some port wine, for a sweet ending to my night. Somewhat surprised that they are really lacking in that category. I expected several listing with info about the vineyards and vintage but nope, sorry, and the generic port/madeira we received were less than satisfying.

Super cool speakeasy bar in Lisbon. Unmarked door with a bell to ring and be let in. Stopped by for a drink on the way back from dinner to the hotel. Just had a classic martini. Nothing special, just a really well made drink. Service was fast and friendly, and the menu is extensive. The decor is kinda wild, each room seems to have a different themed collection, like mugs or tin soldiers. The lights were a little bright for a speakeasy vibe, but maybe that's just a one off.

Fantastic atmosphere! I think this is a must-do item in Lisbon. It's super unique, quirky, strange, and relaxing. It's also a very large space, but with many nooks and separate spaces within it that I appreciate, which make it feel intimate. Their drink menu is extensive, so you should be able to find something you like or want to try.

Really cool speakeasy in the Barrio Alto. Interesting space and good vibe recommended by our amazing Uber driver, Orlando

Had to check this place out while in Lisbon. Had a convivial time here downing a couple of G&T's and enjoying the ambiance. The myriad of memorabilia in the the different rooms is fun. They have a small menu of bar food yo accompany your drinks. Seen some complaints about service. The waiters put on a stiff upper lip , but are efficient. We opted for bar seating and had no trouble ordering drinks or food from the bartender. We enjoyed ourselves and would return again.

The absolutely massive mirror at the entrance. But no more pictures of the inside;)

I say this without any doubt, by far the most important highlight of Lisbon, this bar will transport you and your partner/friend/family members to a New realm. Ring the door bell and wait a second you'll be immersed in the most fantastic interior decor and put your phones away after you've ordered via their QR code menu. The vibe is sublime

This place is part toy shop, part oddity museum and part classic bar. It seems very popular in the PR area with all types of people. You can get lost just staring at the walls. It has been around for quite a long time and is something you would find on Atlas Obscura or something like that. Even with the classic look, the bar seems very average. The bar menu is very long with some strange concoctions, and the quality seems to vary. Much of what people were ordering were mixed, fruity style drinks. There is not really a great selection of mid-top shelf stuff, so while the menu is big it reminds me of something you'd find in an all inclusive resort. Seating is very strange in spots, with extremely low tables and booths. Worth a visit if you need a watering hole, but if you are looking for a cocktail experience this may not be for you. Music selection was very interesting for the establishment.

I popped in here while in the area on vacation. I ended up not staying because it was a bit confusing and no one who worked here seemed interested in helping out a customer. The inside was as ridiculously decorated as described by others. I took a few pictures before cutting my losses and going to one of the nearby places with better/responsive service. If I was with a friend(s), I'd probably try coming back, but in my own, I can find less challenging options.

Crazy cool little bar full of kitschy collectibles. Good drinks in a great part of Lisbon - definitely a good place to stop in a night out!

Decent prices here! This place was recommended by the bartender at Cargo III. They charged extra for the bread, cheese, and prosciutto, so be aware or decline if they offer. We ordered the bacalhau and beef/egg/rice, as well as a bottle of red wine recommended to us- papa figos. Overall this was probably the best meal I had in Lisbon!! The red wine was amazing.

Having experienced fado outside of Portugal I didn't feel strongly that it was a must-do, but when I found myself at night on the street that is known for fado I prioritized it. For the best fado experience I recommend an intimate space, hopefully crowded with people but also with a view to the performers. Tasca do Chico is exactly that place. The doorman told us that space was standing room only, at the (tiny) bar. From there we could see and hear the performers while ordering food and drink. We'd not been there long before we were offered an available seat at a table which caused us to order more food and drink and stay a little longer. The fado here is quite good, made even more enjoyable as the artists change quite frequently; a song or two and a new artist steps forward, all very talented and enjoyable to watch and hear. The fado places tend to have lines out the door and a doorman managing entry. A place across the street looked much bigger but the intimacy is, in my opinion, what makes the experience both unique and special. Even if you have to start at the bar, Tasca do Chico is a great place to experience fado.

On the bright side, I met some new friends in line, and honestly, it was worth it even though I hoped the wait was shorter. The drinks and performances were incredible and exceeded my expectations. It's a small place so the performances felt very intimate, what a memorable night! Just a heads up: they only take cash, so don't make the same mistake I did. Cheers!
