Friendly staff, attentive service and quirky yet sophisticated atmosphere. For a place called a beer museum, I expected more beer options. They had three house options. The brown/amber option was excellent. Very tasty. Good location in Lisbon close to the water.

Museum of Portuguese beers?!! What American man can resist such a place? The best thing about this place are the beautiful decorative concepts, the beautiful smiling woman making the codfish cakes and the other men that were drawn to this place thinking it was one thing but is not what it's advertised to be. This is a tourist trap and the service was very subpar. I ordered a beer and a codfish cake and had to wait 30 minutes for it. When i got it the cake was too doughy.... The beer wasnt anything special; in short there are much better places to visit in Lisbon than this place....

Great location to grab a drink and bite to eat. Right on the square and central to all things in the area. Lots of outdoor seating. Good beer selection with several craft beer options. Just grabbed a snack and a beer. Service was quick and attentive

Lunch at the beer museum sounds good! Good to sit and have an icy cold beer. I enjoyed the cod cake with cheese and my husband the grilled octopus with potatoes and vegetables. Nice to sit in the shade, people watch and have a delicious lunch. Our only negative was the smokers sitting near us, all I tasked was cigar and cigarette smoke.

Such a vibeeeeee. This place at night after 7pm has a DJ that plays hits and people get up and dance . The beer and drinks gages great . This is a nice spot if you want to sit chill and listen to good musics . Fun for families too I brought my sons and daughter and they were able to eat food and listen to music .

5 Euros for a beer that takes you into the museum. The museum has 9 plaques that you can read on your own as its self guided, and a bunch of beers on display. The last room has a weird monk at a table. You can also sit at one of the tables to enjoy your drink. 5 Euros for the cod cakes with potatoes and cheese, which are lukewarm and not very tasty (the cheese tastes fake). The space is massive and very empty so the atmosphere is off.

Stopped by for a quick beer. They were super busy, so it was hard to get the attention of the waiter. Overall, it was just ok. Great location, though. Sitting outside on the plaza was really nice.

AMAZING! My mom and I had dinner and drinks here our first night in Lisbon. This is more of a come and go stop point for small bites and brew; however, we were down for the full meal! We got the garlic shrimp and the mussels. We wound up getting the neat glasses to take home! Truly was so amazing we came back for a quick bite! Can't wait to go back to Portugal!!

I kind of wanting to just drink some local beers at The Beer Museum Bar. But my Yelp Friend has other plans.... I ended up walking through glasscases displaying the history of the World of Beer of Portuguese Speaking Countries. So this Museum is specific to being a history of beers and breweries. I just wish I can sample a few beers instead of just looking at the bottles. Luckily we were given a sample of unknown beer closed to the end of this self guiding tour. So if you want some real drinking action, I suggest just skip the Museum display part and go straight to the bar area and just order a sample flight!

This is of the Veggie soup. Was nice.

Like other views here so far, the beer was good and the view was optimal. The overall services was great, but the food was just so so, nothing special. Bugs were abit bothersome as well. But we made it through the experience.

This beer museum was a fun stop and was really interesting, and the only thing that disappointed me was that it wasnt a little bit bigger. For just a few euro you can walk around the upper floor and check out the history of beer in Portugal. You even get a small glass of beer to sample while you read about different beers and when they were first introduced. Downstairs is a restaurant with lots of beautifully set tables and several more beer options if you have time to sample more than the one they start you with. We were unfortunately in a rush to get back to our "hop on/off" bus tour, which has a drop off/pick up about a block away, but really enjoyed our short time here.

This is a wonderful location with wonderful food and wonderful staff. We spent hours here drinking beer and eating delicious Specialty's and it was only 44 euros. This is in the corner of the historic Square which overlooks the ocean there is sunshine and a cool breeze we appreciate the perfect day, not that the restaurant arrange that but we can thank them for it. The beer was marvelous and the servers on point, there when you need them but waiting in the background when you did not.

Very cool and fun place for beer. I honestly did not eat their food, so I wouldn't know but beer is great! I do think the beer and food might be on a more expensive side since you are in the heart of touristy sight seeings. Beer Museum does also educate you on how they make the beer, so its also great to learn the history! If you are exploring Lisbon in the area of Comércio Square, take a break and grab a beer bc life is too short always rushing.

However, we eventually grew tired of this and wanted to enjoy a cocktail or two with the locals. After doing some shopping, we stumbled upon The Bar. Unlike some of the other bars, The Bar does not have outdoor seating. Therefore, you have to keep your eyes peeled for the entrance. Upon entering the dimly lit intimate bar, we were warmly greeted by a bartender named Joao. We took in the romantic ambiance (they have a Louis Vuitton Virgil Abloh collector's book!) as we found seating on one of their cozy + comfy couches. My wife ordered the Porn Star Martini (you gotta love an establishment that has a little fun with the name of their drinks) and I ordered the Long Island Iced Tea (this used to be my go-to back in my clubbing days). I knew the drinks would be delicious when I saw Joao carefully crafting the drinks as if he was bathing a newborn. Six minutes later we were sipping on our delectable drinks. In fact, the drinks were so delectable that we slowly sipped them to not finish them too quickly. We made repeated visits to The Bar during our stay in Lisbon, specifically for their Happy Hour that takes place from 5pm to 8pm. With the exception of the signature cocktails, all cocktails are $7 during Happy Hour. If you're looking to consume an adult beverage in a comfortable, cozy, and non-touristy environment...I highly recommend The Bar!

This server was very kind and brought us our drink that we drank rather fast so that he could get home as soon as possible. Both of our drinks were expertly made and the ambiance only added to the experience.

It is kind of funny, for how incredibly otherwise interesting Lisbon is as a city, foodie-wise,…read morethat it definitely doesn't have much of a craft *cocktail* scene, and what it does have, is hidden in plain sight, whether as a pizza shop (the other surprisingly good actually-a-cocktail-bar I found), or in this case more literally, as a brothel turned tourist trap-looking bar that actually does have quite good cocktails. Admittedly - it was clearly designed so that it could function at night, when my hunch is that it's more likely to be an absolute madhouse, and it probably a bit feels more like a nightclub. Good thing for me, then, that they're open, and I visited, at 2 PM on a Friday, when they only had a few customers, my favorite sort of vibe for a bar. Yes, they do have extremely suggestively murals up all over the place, because they're committed to the bit (committed enough that if it turned out they were actually also a secret brothel to this day, I'd be like... yeah, that'd track. To my knowledge they are in fact just a bar, though.) But at least when they aren't busy, it is *also* one of the small number of proper craft cocktail bars I found in Lisbon while I was there. Their cocktails were 12-14 euro as of when I was there a few months ago - which a couple years ago would've felt a little pricey, but now feels pretty par for the course. The menu cocktails were mostly all prebatched, but have clearly been prebatched freshly and with *purpose*, as the two cocktails I tried here were *quite* good. One with gin, roobois, ancho reyes and yellow pepper, and one, I was excited to finally see, using Beirao in something more interesting than just tonics or spritzes, with pisco, Beirao, pineaple and eucalyptus. Great presentation, great drinks, and again at least as of when they were least busy, quick service (as you would expect, given that, again, it is mostly prebatched.) That said, if like me, you only speak English, ymmv - the one bartender when I was there spoke English like a native English speaker. Great bartender, too. Then he left and another bartender took over, who spoke zero English whatsoever. As it turns out, you also don't need to speak the same language to order a drink off a menu and then pay for it, though, but it is still *nice* speaking the same language as the bartender.

Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely woman who told us a cool story about the hotel, gave us a bottle of wine, and showed us how to get to our room. When we arrived in the room, the thermostat read 30 degrees (86f). We figured out how to turn the air on, which, at full fan was a trickle at best. After speaking to the front desk, we were told that, yes, it was in fact hot, but it would be looked at. It was, but no solution was given. At around midnight, another person came up to check, apologized profusely for how hot the room was (now at 28c/85f) and left to hopefully go find a solution. He did not. When he came back he again, he apologized and asked if I would stick it out for the night even though it would be difficult to sleep in hopes that a fix could be found in the morning. After about 60-90 minutes of sleep and lots of frustration, the next morning I had to hunt down the staff in hopes that there would be a fix. The staff member (a new one) came and again checked out the room, apologized profusely, and asked if I would be willing to change rooms. I said absolutely yes. After about an hour or so, he told me via WhatsApp that changing rooms would not be an option and the only solution is if the technician could come fix the air conditioning. Several hours passed, and at 4pm I was told that the technician had come and said that there was nothing wrong with the ac, even though the thermostat still read 28 degrees. I went back to the office to get my cancellation and refund and was denied that opportunity. The staff member (the same very lovely lady from before) tried to get her manager to reason and help, but he refused, and said that he would come speak to me but I had to wait 30 minutes. 45 minutes passed and I had to go downstairs AGAIN to see where he was. He came up the stairs and immediately started interrupting me, not listening, accusing me of lying, and didn't even offer to give a refund, cancel my upcoming nights' stay, or make anything right. He then said, after going up to room and feeling the heat himself that he could switch my room with somebody else, not solving the problem, but merely passing it on to another customer. During that conversation, he: · Interrupted me at every chance. He never let me explain the issue because he had already made up his mind. · Told me I left all the windos open which caused the ac to be off, but then changed his story to just one shutter · Accused me of bullying him, when he insinuated that my size is what caused the room to "feel" too hot. · Accused me of calling him and his colleagues various names, when I only said that it was "dumb shit" (possibly a language barrier issue) · Acted erraticly, and thought he could use my frustrations against me. · Spoke about me right in front of me in Portuguese, unknowing that my partner could understand. This was just the beginning. We ended up eating the cost of the room and leaving because of the abuse and terrible treatment by the manager. His name, he said: was "lulu. Because it doesn't matter". He wouldn't even give me the respect or professional curtesy of telling me his name, but accused me of being the bully. Just arrived to my new hotel, the Docas, where I was greeted with a smile, given some snacks, AND they even called the owner of the fado bar I have reservations to so that I would have a great experience! And the ac works! Stay away from this hotel.
