The charms of Lisbon's LX Factory - a one-time textile manufactory - were a little lost on me. I'd read that its restaurants cater to tourists so made no attempt to arrive hungry. Nor did I arrive angling for a cocktail. I expected to see art and unique artsy products for sale but after I wandered the shops on the ground floor and what was open on the second floor I left with, basically, a shoulder-shrug. I'd found only two places here (a bookstore and a sort-of-camera store) that really caught my interest and the rest seemed not to feature anything that I liked more than things that I'd seen for sale elsewhere in town. I have a hunch that LX Factory is slightly more fun if you stop and enjoy a drink, perhaps on a sunny Sunday afternoon. That's the day that they feature the outdoor "Sunday Market" at which (hopefully) they feature a wider array of unique art and/or handmade offerings. I spent long enough in Lisbon that I didn't regret making time for the LX Market but if I'd had only a short time to see the city I'd not have been happy having spent any time here at all.

Nice place with a bunch of restaurants, bars and shops. This is definitely an overhyped tourist spot I would say. Theres not too much else to it, and I would probably skip it next time. If you're wanting to shop at some cool spots this is a good place to visit. It's an entire street of shops and food. It wasn't my favorite spot though unfortunately.

Such a great place! There are 50 restaurants, bars and shops here. If you're looking for food, drinks, and shopping, I highly recommend this spot. There are plenty of things to do, lots of rooftop bars, lots of shops and sights to see. This area is very artsy, and this is a great open air shopping area. I loved it here. I highly recommend stopping in!

Lovely funky place to spend part of the day with many gift stores and different places to eat and some art on the walls and also fun to people watch. My favorite stores included: Ceramica, More Than Wine, and the Cork Store. I ate at Sophia and it was a great pizza place with indoor and outdoor seating. Areas to improve would be the two bathrooms which are tiny and not handicap accessible. Also they do not have free WiFi here, which they should, as I had trouble to book Uber or Bolt. Luckily a salesperson helped me to get free quick WiFi so I could return to my hotel! I also do not mind buying something from a cafe so I could use the WiFi, but I did not see any signs for WiFi here. If there is accessible WiFi, please let me know. Highly recommended!

Great food options a lot of small businesses that I love supporting. Nice way to spend the afternoon.

One of My favorite stops in Lisbon! There are so many shops, little restaurants and stands. I had so much fun going from place to place and then stopping for coffee and a bit to eat. I went on a super rainy day and it was still great. I could imagine how nice it would be on a sunny day. We tried a brewery that was so tasty and we spent a few hours there. I found souvenirs for friends and even some things for myself. Such a good experience!

I was a little disappointed with this place... when researching things to do in Lisbon it seemed like LX Factory was highly recommended, but the food options weren't intriguing and we ended up going back to the heart of Lisbon for dinner. There weren't that many shops here either. We walked around the whole place and were like "wait, that's it?" The one store we did enjoy was the bookstore. We actually bought some books and a record here! If you end up not making it out to see LX Factory, do not be too disappointed! There's way cooler places to check out while you're in Lisbon.

Don't forget to look up. A very fun place!

Definitely somewhere to visit while in Lisbon. Inside they have several artists with small galleries selling unique art, clothes, and jewelry. Outdoors they have a bunch of restaurants and bars. The bookstore Ler Devagar is beautiful. The rooftop bar at LX Hostel is a lovely oasis too. Some of the spots seem very generic and touristy, but there was also a bar with live music on their patio which was tons of fun. I liked it here a lot! Tons of great art on the walls outside, too.

Came here specifically to visit a jewelry store. Mix of shops, think an assortment of pop-ups. Didn't buy anything, but was tempted to at the Cork Store and Benamor. Definitely off the beaten path. Grabbed a quick bite and a drink during happy hour. Salespeople were very friendly and helpful.

This is one place I could spend hours at just going through every book and really spending time here to unwind. After your purchase, you can head over to the café on the first floor and have a drink. It's not as busy specifically with the location that it's in and the staff are extremely nice and quick to recommend books that they have read or that you might be interested in based on your purchase. such a lovely experience. I will definitely check this place when I'm back in this country.

Must visit spot in Lisbon. Absolutely love this hidden gem, lined with cute little shops and restaurants, if I lived here I would come to hang out here all the time! Just for a stroll, people watching, and coffee! And the bookstore is amazing!!! Since it's not in the main part of the city, it's not very crowded and is actually quite relaxing.

If you're in Lisbon, stop by LX Factory! It's a bunch of vendors/creators, under a bridge area. This isn't your typical market that has all the same things you can find elsewhere. I got beautiful, delicious brigadeiro (Brazilian candies), a woven bag that caught my eye as soon as I entered that particular "booth", a customized sweatshirt which was finished being sewed as I walked around, and vintage clothing! The vintage selection was fantastic at a couple booths, and they were well-priced. Some items were downright cheap. Quality dresses for 5 euro? Yes, please. I also had a fantastic lunch here. Even if you don't buy anything, there are so many hand made things to see. Lovely ceramics were my fave.

They sent us pictures of our setup and were very responsive. When we got there we found our table was a little too much in the sun and they were super nice about letting us move slightly to be in the shade. It's a 25-step climb from the front door to the lobby/office. It's another 25-step step climb from the lobby/office to the one person/luggage elevator that only goes from floor "one" to floor "four" with no stops in between, and which was out of service during our two-night stay. So, I counted about 150 steps up to the roof, a little less to our room on the fifth floor. The rooftop bar offers a 20% discount to hotel guests, but only on food, not on alcohol. The complimentary breakfast is served up there from 730am to 1000am. Fruits, meats, eggs, cheese, pastries, coffee and juice. Good stuff. Upon check in, the staff helped us get out luggage up to 5th floor room. Room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. A/C worked well. We had an early flight and asked for assistance getting our luggage down as a taxi was picking us up at 630am the following morning. We were told the staff doesn't show up until 700am. (I found it odd that there is no staff overnight after the rooftop bar closes. What happens if a pipe bursts or something of that nature? Very strange). Anyway, the manager said he would show up at 620am to assist with our luggage. And he did show up at 620am. Also gave us a to go breakfast of juice, fruit and a meat and cheese sandwich to nosh on at the airport. Nice hotel, but not very accessible if you are old, frail or differently abled. The stairs. I did a bit of online research about it, and saw several pictures posted. The pics were nothing really exciting; however, it was a gorgeous Saturday in December, so we thought we'd check it out to kill time. We caught public transportation from Praça do Restauradores, which zoomed us over to the Apolonia train station and a short walk to the market. Little did that Mercado de Santa Clara was gonna be HUGE, and apparently THE thing to do on a spectacular Saturday morning!!! The pics I saw online did absolutely no justice to what we had in-store for us! The place was overflowing with what seemed like hundreds of vendors, all hawking bric-a-brac and doo-dads and even "crap"! It was definitely a "flea market," indeed!!! It was truly fun to see all the stuff folks were trying to sell and make money off of. Lots of interesting stuff; lots of uninteresting stuff. Exactly what one would expect from a flea market! We even splurged on several ponchos and blankets that were too cool to pass-up!! :D We easily spent a good hour and a-half roaming through the "aisles." Shoppers were there in-force! And, too, being right next to several outdoor cafés made it easy to refuel and people-watch! (The indoor part of the market wasn't nearly as fun; but, still worth checking out.) The market is on Saturdays and Tuesdays, so I'm thinking I might pop back there on Tuesday, as I had my eye on something that I'm crossing my fingers will still be there...! We both cannot recommend the Mercado de Santa Clara enough...!!! :D
