Excellent food, calm relaxing atmosphere. But it is not worth the price and super expensive.

Amazing service we were sat right away. My friends were visiting from out of town, and there was five of us in total. We had made a reservation and server was overly welcoming, which we really liked. We had heard reviews of this place and wasn't sure how it would be, but really surprised at the quality of the food that we got. we love that everything was shareable potions because we got to try a little bit of everything.

The vibe was very luxurious and atmospheric. It was dark and had very nice decor and felt romantic. However, I felt it was so overpriced for completely average food just because it was on king street. I ordered one of their regional cocktails, which was good, but all it really was a cute tall glass with some cotton candy on the side for 36$!!!! Now I don't mind spending that much for a cocktail, but it has to be a dang good one like how bar chef does it. I ordered the carnita tacos and I was very disappointed. I couldn't even finish them. The meat inside was so extremely dry, there was absolutely not even a droplet of juice in that meat. My friend ordered the same thing and felt the same way. Overall I will probably never return here.

I came here on a Monday evening for dinner and overall, I wasn't impressed. I ordered the fish tacos and empanadas. I found the tacos to be overcooked and oily. The empanadas, although tender, were flavourless and oily. The food was okay at best, neither dish had great flavour. The hot sauces provided were okay, did add some flavour to both dishes. It has beautiful decor and the staff is lovely but other than that, wasn't anything spectacular.

Don't get the cilantro margarita (probably goes without but I was feeling brave and stupid). Good attentive service especially earlier in the night. Music got fairly loud but was good, not super memorable. Food was decent but overpriced & small portions.

If you are looking for an upscale Mexican restaurant make reservations for Silent H. The restaurant/bar is beautiful. The decor and esthetic are pleasing to the eyes. Spacious and airy! There is a lower level that is also spacious with comfy couches. The music is good. The place is definitely on the higher end for a Mexican restaurant. The staff are friendly, attentive, helpful, professional and hard-working. My waitress was so friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and well-seasoned. We ordered the espadas de rib eye, tacos de pescado frito, and pollo al pastor. For drinks ordered the Silent spritz and tequila shots. For dessert, we ordered the el favorito de papa est 1958. I was sweet and moist. Served with vanilla ice cream. Overall, the experience was great!

I with my girl friend visited this bar restaurant 2 weeks ago to celebrate my friend's birthday. The dishes I'd say 8/10 in general. The drinks and dessert are really good!! Especially the salty caramel sauce one, I literally finished most of it.

Great presentation but a bit overpriced for what it is. Drinks were good but not boozy enough for its priced. If you want to experience this restaurant I recommend coming during their happy hour when cocktails are half price. Service was average, we had a hard time finding our server.

Amazing night and great meal. We got the ceviche which was delightful. Highly highly highly recommend ordering the ceviche as it balances out the flavour profile of the rest of the dishes. While ribeye tacos with the bone marrow was expecting to be the star of the show, I personally found it a bit underwhelming but tasty nonetheless. The shrimp tacos with the consommé were by far our favourite though! Food did get cold quickly though so be sure to eat quick. We ended it off with the chocolate cake which was perfectly sweet and satisfying. Our server Jacob was super sweet and attentive, as was the rest of the staff. Bonus points for the gorgeous interior and stunning downstairs washroom area! Overall awesome team and great dinner spot. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5

    Queso Flameado

The regional drinks were the highlight of the evening! We ordered one of each and they all came with unique stories, backgrounds and flavors. The Deserted In Durango comes with a scorpion and someone in our group was brave enough to eat it!! (They said it was not bad, with no particular flavor and the texture of shrimp) The waiter went into great detail explaining each drink and was also super attentive with our group. The food was delicious, especially the Queso Flameado. We ordered a few dishes to share (family style) amongst our group and everything was tasty.

As soon as you walk into the Library Bar, the real centerpiece that grabs your attention is the massive oil portrait above the fireplace. That dignified gentleman watching you sip your drink is George Locke, the very first chief librarian of the Toronto Public Library. I love that a librarian is the patron saint of this bar! Ambiance: Stunning from the moment you walk in. Despite the soaring ceilings and two-level layout, the space still feels intimate thanks to the dim, romantic lighting. We loved being seated beside each other rather than across from one another, an option I appreciated compared to the large half-moon booths in the centre of the room. Tables line the perimeter and upper level, while small trees with twinkling lights frame the booths, adding a whimsical, almost magical touch. A window displaying the cuts of steak was a fun and enticing detail. Appetizers & Mains: Every bite impressed. The seafood atop each piece of nigiri was incredibly fresh and buttery, literally melting in your mouth. The lobster mashed potatoes were an indulgent and unforgettable accompaniment to the perfectly tender steaks, which were thoughtfully presented tableside before cooking. Dessert: We saved room (and I'm so glad we did!) My cheesecake arrived beautifully plated with a candle and birthday message, while my boyfriend enjoyed the butter cake. Both were absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal. Service: Every team member we encountered went above and beyond to make the evening feel special, but a heartfelt shout-out goes to our charming server, Vig. He was attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in ensuring each moment felt intentional and unique. He also shared enticing reasons to return for lunch, happy hour, and weekend brunch (options we had no idea the restaurant offered). Thoughtful Touches: From coat check, a welcome birthday cocktail, a personalized birthday card from the staff, to complimentary bubbly with dessert, every detail was thoughtfully considered. Both of us work in the area and will absolutely be spreading the word with our teams. I left feeling like a very lucky lady after such a memorable birthday celebration. We can't wait to return!
