highly recommend Ilan Sigura for any contracting or construction project. He replaced a leaking window on the second floor of our new home while we were still living in it, and the entire process was seamless. He and his team worked efficiently and professionally, demonstrating excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. The crew was highly skilled, courteous, and respectful throughout the project. What really stood out was how clean and organized they were--maintaining a tidy workspace during the job and leaving everything spotless at the end. The work was completed quickly, smoothly, and to a very high standard. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend him for any construction or home improvement work. read more

Sigura Construction is absolutely outstanding! Ilan and his team helped us from the very beginning -- designing the changes to our house, making thoughtful recommendations on colors and finishes, and handling all the city approvals quickly and without stress. What really amazed us was the speed and quality: our entire home was fully rebuilt in just 6 months, which is about 60% of the time that other builders estimated. Throughout the process, Ilan and his team were incredibly patient with our requests, always willing to apply changes during the build, and consistently delivered high-quality results. The end result is our dream home, built above and beyond our expectations. We now fully trust Sigura Construction, and they have earned our highest recommendation for anyone looking for a reliable, experienced, and trustworthy builder. read more

Sigura Construction recently installed hardwood flooring in our bedroom. (We had used Sigura a complete remodel in 2014.). The workers were friendly and diligent. Our room looks beautiful. The price was very competitive. And, as always, Ilan made sure to leave us with a perfect result--from the finish on the floor to all the wall painting and touch ups. We're so happy with the new look! read more

My wife and I have used Sigura for three major projects at home, including a kitchen and bath remodel. Ilan and his team are the best contractors we've ever worked with. They are good communicators, accurate estimators, and creative problem-solvers. The last quality is what really counts, because when you're renovating a home, there will inevitably be surprises. What you want is a contractor who can find solutions quickly. That's Sigura. I highly recommend them. read more

I can't say enough thank you for the reconstruction. Mr. Ilan Sigura and crew, have done outstanding job for my home from the fire incident in 2024. It was devastating incdent that we lost everything in fire. Sigura Construction helped us get through all the insurance claim and final inspection. We are finally back home not only with the newly reconstructed but also beautifully redesigned living room and kitchen. We love the quality of craftmanship of the home. Double -thumps up! read more

Sigura Constructions is simply the best! We've now worked with Sigura Constructions on two major home renovation projects, and both experiences were beyond excellent. The most recent project was a full remodel of our laundry room, kids' bathroom, and master bathroom. This came after they had already done a full renovation of the rest of our house during phase one (excluding those areas). The first phase was so impressive that hiring Ilan Sigura and his team again was a no-brainer. Ilan is amazing to work with. He's not just the owner; he's fully involved in the process from start to finish. He's friendly, super responsive, and clearly takes pride in his work. He came by weekly for walkthroughs, was in daily contact with his team, and we got regular updates on progress. We always felt like our satisfaction was his top priority. The crew was also fantastic. Super professional, respectful, and incredibly detail-oriented. They treated our home like it was their own, from protecting surfaces and maintaining a safe worksite to cleaning up at the end of every day. Even though we were living in the house during this second phase, they managed to keep everything as functional and stress-free as possible. Special thanks to William, the project manager. He was professional, hardworking, and consistently kept the project running smoothly. His calm, steady presence made the entire process feel organized and stress-free, and we truly appreciated his attention to details. As part of the project, Ilan connected us with MiDa Interior Design Studio, and that was another big win. Michal and Dana from MiDa totally understood our style and helped create bathrooms and a laundry room that are both modern and functional. They had great ideas, were a pleasure to work with, and worked directly with Sigura's team so everything was seamless. From the initial quote to the final touches, everything ran smoothly. Communication was clear, the timeline was realistic, and any small issues were handled quickly and professionally. This was our second time working with Sigura, and we'll 100% work with them again in the future. It's rare to find a contractor who delivers amazing quality AND makes the process easy. Highly, highly recommend. read more

I can't speak to any work completed by this company because I haven't even got an estimate, or any follow-up or email responses, for the projects we discussed during our appointment nearly a week ago. Unprofessional business practices at minimum. Ilan, is a general contractor and licensed real estate broker. My guess is that he is casting a wide net for prospects of both construction and real estate deals and the jack pot would of course be one client for both. Meets for the appoinment, sizes you up, and if you don't fit nicely into his sales qualifying funnel, he cuts his losses and ghosts you. I'm just connecting the dots and this is the best explanation I can come up with. Nothing illegal or unethical about this sales and marketing practice, but it's not transparent or honest either and if that's how the business relationship starts, who knows what happens after you sign the construction or real estate agreement? He responds to bad reviews with pleasent words so I'd expect the same for this one. If you contact this company, just be aware that his reason for meeting with you may not be the same reason you want to meet with him, especially if your purpose is to get a eompetitive estimate in a timely manner. read more

I selected Sigura Construction because they were a Diamond Certified company. I have in general had good success with Diamond Certified companies. They were contracted to replace the entire front staircase in the duplex that I own in San Mateo because of extensive leaking and dry rot. Adi Lev was their project manager and did an outstanding job of coordinating everything from design, engineering plans, city permits and approvals, material selection and execution. After completion of the staircase, a general overall property inspection found some water leakage under the new staircase. Adi was right on it, did several extensive water tests, corrected the problem, and did additional water tests. All is good. Water leak was resolved. Adi showed a strong attention to detail through the process, was easy to work with, and provided frequent updates on the project. I was very satisfied with the work done. My only issue is that the job took longer than I anticipated. read more

We had an amazing experience with Sigura Construction on our backyard transformation project. They did a fantastic job building a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, landscaping with pavers, and custom lighting. The entire crew was incredibly professional, thorough, and efficient, delivering top-quality work from start to finish. Ilan, the owner, was outstanding--easy to communicate with, professional, and highly knowledgeable about all the options for our project. He made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Our backyard now looks absolutely stunning, and we're thrilled with the results. We have complete peace of mind knowing the work was done by true experts. We highly recommend Sigura Construction to anyone looking for exceptional construction services. Thanks again to Ilan and the team for a job well done!! read more

We have finished a major remodeling with Sigura team. The owner Ilan is ver professional - understands the nuts and bolts of every aspect in the process. Provides options for everything and gets you involved in the decision process. Our remodel started as a smaller project but we added the kitchen. The team was very flexible and accommodated that and helped with the design itself. The quality is top notch. Ilan will not sign off on something that is less than perfect. My husband is picky and every time he pointed as something that was done only 99% clean, the team redid it. Remodeling is scary and long; frustrating at times. Working with a team that you can trust, and nice people that you interact with on a daily basis helps. They were clean and very respectful. The results are awesome. We're very grateful and happy with how things progresses. We now have a very nice kitchen, master bedroom and a great patio Keith nana wall that we would have never considered unless Ilan insisted and it was one of the best decisions ever. I'm seen multiple jobs before we signed up with Ilan. All looked very clean and nicely done. Great quality. I would highly recommend hiring this team for major or even minor jobs. At least get a quote. You will fall in love with Ilan read more

We had Sigura Construction work on a renovation before we moved into a 10-year old home we purchased. We had them do a few things: - Convert carpet to wood in two rooms - Re-carpet a converted garage - Repaint the walls - Install two toilets - Fix some hinges Their subcontractor who did the wooden floors was great. That was the best part of their service. Everything else caused us headaches. For the re-carpeted garage, the edges of the carpet where they had to nail it to be stabilized ended up having nails protrude through the carpet so if you walked along the edge or tried to exit the door you got cut by the nail. We had to tell them to come back and flatten it. For the repainted walls, they broke two crown moldings on the ceiling (photos attached). For the installed toilets, one of them was a Toto and they installed it such that you can't close the side of the toilet because they did shoddy pipework. The second toilet required pulling some low voltage electrical work, but they didn't properly repaint the wall. (Photos attached). Second to last, after they collected their money, it took teeth-pulling for them to come fix these remaining issues. Lastly, they had some extra wooden planks from installing the floor, their guy tried to run off with the extra ones to return and pocket the money for himself without refunding us. read more

This is an update to my previous review. We had the Sigura team back to work on a couple of other projects in our home this fall, and they delivered on the 5 star rating. We had a series of unrelated, smaller projects, and the team was very conscientious of minimizing any disruption to our family as they worked diligently and quickly to complete the projects. Adi once again was exceptionally communicative and helpful in helping us with decisions, as well as keeping her team on track. We were very, very happy with the outcome, and we are looking forward to another quality job in the near future! read more

I was so lucky to get Ilan's team support! I needed an expert work at my house. Reaching out to Ilan I have received a super fast reply. He sent a team of two professionals who completed the work in half the time I expected, They were polite, kind and professional. They did exactly what I expected! The quality of work was great and much beyond my expectations. I warmly recommend taking Sigura Construction for your next work. Thank you Ilan and your team! read more

We typically don't write reviews, but this one is special and deserves 5 starts! The review below is long because we wanted to share our experience as the details do tell the story. The short version of it is that If you (or anyone you know) are looking for a contractor my wife and I are highly recommending Sigura construction. You won't regret this decision. The long version: The Sigura team just finished a 3-month remodeling project on our house and did an amazing job. They have completely transformed our house. The before and after looks like two different places. Night and Day. Seriously! The entire process from start to finish was fantastic. It felt different already with the quote. Ilan Sigura, the owner, was very diligent when we requested a quote. He came for an hour (maybe two) tour of our property and took very detailed notes of everything we wished to do. Within few days we received a very detailed quote. It provided all the details required to make a sound decision. If you are the person that likes details, you'd love the quotes Ilan provides. It breaks down each sub-project, line items, labor, and material. Easy to read and use for budgeting and tracking.! A week or so before the project started Ilan came again for a 2nd tour and brought with him Jose (dedicated on site project manager) and Chris (material supply). He made sure everyone on the same page and clear of what is required. This made us feel so comfortable with our decision to select Sigura constructions for our home remodeling. After all, it's a big decision and it felt we are in good hands as everyone assured us, they will treat our house as theirs. In the same meeting we also agreed on what will be done each week and, on a day,/time for a weekly follow up meeting to review progress against schedule and or issue and additional requests. We couldn't ask for better system to manage the project. Jose, our dedicated on-site project manager, is a great person and magician when it comes to constructions. He showed up every morning on time with a positive attitude and tons of energy. If he had any question, he would give us a call before taking actions. We were very impressed with the quality of his work. He never cut corners and will go the extra mile to fix any issues he sees. Jose is professional and dedicated; He took this project so seriously that he and I used to joke about him dreaming about it. We felt so lucky having him leading our remodeling. Jose's right-hand man for the project was Rudy; he is the painter and dry wall artist. He takes so much pride in his work. Each time we had the opportunity visiting the house during the remodeling he will proudly tour the house with us and showing all the work done.!! But it's not just Jose and Rudy it's the entire team that are so professional, polite, and hard workers. We were worried that with such a long project our neighbors might be annoyed and upset (I mean who likes 3 months of constant daily noise) but the on contrary; they told us the Sigura team was very polite and nice. They maintain clean street, only came during working hours and didn't take parking space. It was a relief getting this awesome feedback from our neighbors. The office crew: Ronit and Chris are also amazing. Chris made sure all required material for the different stages of the project will arrive on time. Ronit helped with any general question and did the billing. She provided details for each invoice in a very clear manner. She provides fantastic customer service and will take the time warmly answering any billing question. Last but not list; Ilan himself is hands-on. He can be reached out daily through text messages and phone calls if needed. He works around the clock and have unlimited energy and patience. He is very experienced and knows remodeling can be stressful times for homeowners and as such will make himself available when needed. He will typically respond immediately and if busy will return a call within less than an hour. He is also very honest that cares allot about his customers. He provided throughout the project so many good suggestions even if it meant less money for him! He gave us project credit because he found that an item from the original project "wish list" wasn't needed.! Unbelievable. He built his business for more than 20 years and will make sure the quality and overall experience are the best. Great experience with Sigura Construction. Yes, it was that good! We are so pleased that have decided to do another big project with Ilan and the entire Sigura Construction team. Rare find. read more

We hired Sigura Construction to gut and rebuild a master bathroom. From start to finish, communication was excellent. Ilan, the owner was invaluable in dealing with a 1960 bathroom and 2024 building codes, helping us design a stylish bathroom, and was immediately available for every question or concern that we had. The men, William and Abel worked tirelessly every day. Their attention to detail showed in every step, and we now have a new bathroom that looks like a magazine photo. I highly recommend Sigura Construction and will hire them again for any work that we need in the future. read more

Summary: I've been dealing with them since feb. Since then they've no-showed multiple times, rescheduled last minute multiple times, and cancelled on me 3 times in 1 week. They had no respect for my time, and maybe that's because it was such a small job. I had a bad feeling about this company when my first impression was them not showing up to our first appointment (Feb 3rd). Their phones weren't working and I couldn't get in touch with them for multiple days. Eventually I was able to get in touch with them (they never tried to get in touch with me) and rescheduled the initial consult. Ilan did a walk through- I only needed them to do a few small things. The main project was fixing the garage step that wasn't flat. He gave me 2 options: $425 to just fix it so that it's flat, or $625 to completely re-do it. I figured might as well pay more so that it looks nice. I signed the contract on March 5th. It took me a few calls to get the work scheduled, as they were busy with bigger contracts. Work was done April 26th (after 2 no-show appointments, for which they did provide me with a $200 discount which was appreciated). 1 item they did not do, and the step was poorly done- it looked worse than before. Yes, it was flat, but it was so messily done, and quite ridiculous for $625. I expected it to look like a finished step. See pictures. I called/emailed the company multiple times to express that this was not the quality of work we were promised, particularly at that price. Eventually Ilan got back to me and said the step could be re-done and he would schedule someone to do the weather stripping that was not done before. This led to yet another no-show (which I woke up at 7am for), but the next day someone came to do the weather stripping. This was mid May. I kept following up to figure out when we could get the step re-done. They kept pushing it out because of bigger projects, which I understand. June 28, they asked for 2 more weeks. I followed up July 14, he said it could be done the next Tuesday and he would come by Monday to discuss materials/cost (I was not expecting to be charged to fix the work, but I didn't say at the time). Sunday I texted for an ETA for Monday, he moved it to Wednesday. Tuesday I texted for an ETA for Wednesday, and he moved it to Thursday. Wednesday I texted for an ETA, and he just cancelled. Did not offer to reschedule, did not apologize for wasting so much of my time. I have to wonder if he would have actually let me know that he wouldn't be coming if I hadn't asked the days before. I emailed them to express my frustration with the situation and give them 1 last chance to make it right, but no response. They clearly had no respect for my time at all, and it did not seem to bother them at all how unprofessional they were, or that the work was overpriced and poorly done. read more

I worked with Ilan Sigura about 16 years ago for remodeling the house my wife and I purchased and for remodeling a rental property we own in the bay area. We were very happy with the service and the quality of work. Since then we left the bay area moved to Southern California. But a few months ago the tenant in our rental property left after 12 years and we decided to do extensive work to bring the property to a better condition. Naturally, I reached out to Ilan and asked him to handle the project. I entrusted him to do the work and make some decisions on our behalf since we are not local. Sigura Construction did an excellent job. They met the cost constrained we gave them, and met the timeline committed to us. The quality of the work is exceptional, the attention to details is great, the suggestions they made were very helpful. Overall, we are extremely pleased with results. The house is now rented and the tenant is very satisfied with the condition of the house. I will continue to use them in any future projects! read more

Beware! Unprofessional, irresponsible & work is very poor. Specifics are that your company was hired to do work in our condo community off of Lafayette and this is where my horrible experience took place. The fact that I have a half painted front door at my condo because the workers didn't finish their job properly and paint streaks on the walls in front of my place I think gives me reason enough to post my review. I'm sorry, but growing up the last 40 years around a family of over 8 commercial painters I know good work when I see it and unfort. the workers who painted for us don't qualify... read more

I must say this company is a JOKE. The workers are unorganized and their job site is a mess. They show up as early as possible and are done for the day by 9-10 am. Because of this the job is dragging on and on with no end in sight. I question their professionalism and competence. read more

We were highly referred to Sigura by friends and can not be more impressed. We had a tree fall on our almost brand new house and we needed quick and professional repair. Ilan (the owner) personally handled all of the interaction with the insurance company shielding us from all the messiness there and came out to perform the work within a week of the final insurance approval. He followed up promptly with a site visit to make sure we were personally satisfied with all aspects of the job even though this is considerably a very small project for his company. I was extremely impressed! read more

This is an addition to my review from 2015 work. We had our electrical panel upgraded by Sigura for a little over $4,000. At least we thought it was upgraded. They never friggin' bothered to put in new breakers. It was all the old ones still in there. I never noticed until my dryer kept losing power. When pulled out, that breaker was scorched. That really is Unbelievable and wholly ridiculous. That angers me and frustrates me to no end. So recently another $4,300 was spent and a new panel was installed by an electrician. Basically the same price, but with new breakers etc. You think long and hard about whether you want to utilize a company like Sigura. We got screwed and we don't want you to get screwed. I wouldn't let them in my house even if they wanted to work for free. Not worth it!!! read more

I would not recommend this company. We hired them to do a renovation of our house. The work is disorganized, they send the workers without tools or materials to do the work. CAUTION!!! FYI: IF YOU POST A BAD REVIEW AND CALL OWNER OUT ON HIS LIES HE WILL RESPOBD WITH MORE LIES!!! Also, we have proof in emails he broke the door... and have paper work provided by Bay Area Fireplace that Ilan didnt get back to them and thats why the order took forever!!! We are pleased with the crew of workers, JOSE AND ANGEL are beyond excellent!!! IF JOSE WAS GONE, THE OWNER ILAN WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS! JOSE IS THE ONLY WORKER WHO IS TOP OF THE LINE! Everytime I would go to the house, they were working very hard and clearly were paying attention to the details of the project! Also, you can trust these guys in your house!!! The work started off fast, but ended up being 2 1/2 months behind there scheduled date to finish! Make sure you get everything in writing with them, as if it's not it probably won't happen. As we have moved in, we still have work for them to finish! Installation of granite and fireplace has yet to be done! I literally had to beg them for our cabinets to be installed and the mirror in our master bath! If I didn't push that, they would have never done that till, who knows when! We also have to have rhem come redo some painting and our french door won't open unless you pull it very hard! As for now I had to change my review based on the last month of bs lies and not following through with what they promise! I just spoke with the owner about a french door that my husband and I purchased and one of his workers broke the glass while working in our master bath!!! Long story short, he of course had to replace the door and it took about 2 months plus he didn't purchase the right door! I called him up to tell him I'm sorry but we spent 1,600 on this door sorry ND we want you to replcw what you broke, but with the correct door, not some unmatched door!! He started to swear at me using the f word!! Ilan, I'm sorry but what you have responded is all total lies!! Our fireplace was not a special order!! I picked everything out on nov 11th and you didn't contact Bay Area Fireplace till Dec 18th and never would answer there questions which delayed everything!!! We got basic doors, glass stones, burner and remote!! I actually had to call them Friday to order the black liner because you never placed that order! Today is Feb 16th and your worker is jut now installing a few things with the fireplace! We hsve yet to see the granite guys today to install it around the Fireplace! Bay Area Fireplace doesnt speak highly of you either! Also, the work isn't finished.. if that was true why would we have your workers here finishing painting and replacing the door you broke also! Just like everyone else does we will pay you the rest of the money when you finish! We would be idiots to pay you before you finish all the work! People like honesty and if you want to be dishonest then it's only go to look bad for you! ILLAN, you are making yourself and your company look horrible by responding with lies!!! if you were a smart business man you wouldn't respond at all!! By responding to my review you make your self look very guity even more so then from the start! Just some advice for you! ;) PROPS TO ANGEL WHO STAYED ALL DAY EXTRA TIME TO FINISH THE FIREPLACE AFTER THE GRANOTE GUYS WERE DONE! PIC TO SEE BELOW OF HIS EXCELLENT HARD WORK!!! THANK YOU ANGEL! read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. This company is horrible! Or should I say just the owner. All he cares about is making himself millions of dollars. He treats his employees horrible, does everything the cheapest way he can, but charges the Client million dollar prices. I would not even recommend this Company to my worst enemy! The ladies in the office are as sweet as can be. But the owner is an asshole!! A few months ago, Sigura remodeled my home. I should have known not to use them when his prices were almost 3 times higher then other contractors, but he sold me with his "diamond certified". Ilan is a sucker for talking people into things and "selling" his company. But I promise you that you will be extremely disappointing in his work. He tries to tell you that everything is going well and on schedule but even the workers don't even know what to do. I advise you... NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! They are not worth your time, nor money!! read more

DO NOT DO BUSSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY We contracted for a deck and patio to be built by this company. We were told they were "Diamond Certified"and had 25 years experience in home remodeling. We were told they all of their own qualified employees to do the job. After 5 months of delays and a demand for more money due to permit requirements work finally began. The workman who came did not know or ignored common construction practices like how to use rebar in cement patios and walkways. They made errors in measurements, permit design, permit and contract requirements. They tried to circumvent the permit inspection process. The city inspection department issued correction notices that made them tear out and redo numerous items. One completely removing the whole deck framework that was done incorrectly. They used poor quality ungraded lumber that was warped, crowned, and knotted. The workers showed up sporadically most of the time without notice. Nine months after signing the contract they abandoned the job. The left a pile of debris including bags and bottles of human waste that we had to pay to have removed. We also had to pay to have the poorly constructed unfinished deck framework removed. We asked for a refund of payments for deck planking, railing, framing and labor not provided. Sigura did not respond. We filed a complaint with the California state License Board (CSLB).So far Sigura has refused to respond to them either. read more
