Late for customer pick up due to short staffing issues…read more While at store their rep Thomas said car was being cleaned which was no problem, 30 mins later, after being told car was being driven around we are still waiting additional 30 mins. Lobby is full of unsatisfied customers. They attempted to place us in a vehicle that was not comparable to our current vehicle and blamed the insurance company. The insurance company originally said the rental car would be dropped off at the repair shop. After saying a car was ready we were then notified that it had a hold/recall so now we are still waiting 1:30hr later. As a long time enterprise customer I would not recommend this location at all. Other branches have been more efficient. This has been a nightmare, sadly we are out of pick up range for the other stores and our car is being serviced.

From my perspective, this reflects inadequate customer service. The manager, named Christopher, exhibited a tone in his email that was highly offensive and inaccurate. I also received a subsequent call, and I believe he may be the district manager for the site, with a backup named Jose, who appears indifferent to my concerns or overall customer experience. Although this location is very convenient, I have decided to cease patronizing it. I am willing to travel an additional fifteen minutes in the future, as I understand the importance of personal accountability.

I returned later to reserve the rental. The process was smooth and easy. Before you know it I was driving away in the rental. Over the weekend it rained and I learned one of the wiper blades didn't work. I was informed that I would have to return for an exchange. At that time they didn't have any vehicles. Before the close of day it was exchanged as well as they did the switch so that the party held liable for the accident insurance was applied to cover my rental. Do not recommend renting a car here for "personal use", this location is only good for people who are in desperate need of something for insurance purposes. First experience with the location we needed to be transferred to multiple cars as the clean one we rented would not start. When they ended up transferring a car from a new location for us, it was almost unbearable how dirty and smoke filled the car was. Without exaggeration, we had friends and family members who would not get in the car because the smell was so overpowering. We had to drive on the highway with all the windows open to try to air it out. Even if Enterprise staff had time to "clean" the car to their standards, it would be impossible to get the stench of cigarette smoke out. The manager (young woman, Oct/Nov 2022) went above and beyond to make sure that we were compensated for our horrible experience, so we decided that we would try the location out again if we ever needed it. Second experience was short and even more disappointing. I made a reservation on the app 2+ weeks in advance to grab a car at noon on Friday through the weekend. I called the branch at 10am to confirm my car for noon pick up and the person who answered the phone abruptly told me that there are no cars available. I corrected her and said that I already had a reservation and she said that it "doesn't matter, we don't reserve or hold cars for reservations" "you just get any car that we have on the lot when you come in to pick it up, we can't hold cars for someone with a reservation" "we're independently operated so we can't transfer a car from another location for you". I was shocked! If I hadn't called 2 hours in advance and confirmed my reservation then I would have shown up at that location at my scheduled pick up time and they would have sent me away. The young woman on the phone then transferred me to a different enterprise location where I had to wait a solid 10 min on hold until they could help. I thought my first experience here getting a dirty smoke filled car was a fluke but now I realize that getting ANY car from this location is lucky since you just have to be there in the store waiting at the exact right time when another person drops of a car. Reservations don't matter, the car you choose on the nice app doesn't matter, you can't get ahold of the local office if there's a problem, it's all just a mess. 2/5 stars since you can get lucky and have a great experience but do not recommend based on inconsistency of car and service.

We reserved a larger vehicle weeks in advance. I should have called 2 days in advance and confirmed with a location member, that I was picking up a car. That would have told a team member to get and hold my vehicle for a faster turn around. MY BAD/NOT MY BAD! (For those who say I should not have to, I remind them everything during covid is not a promise.) BUT enter Cory, we get there and check in. The vehicle is not there, but something close to it is. He offers it, but it will not do. Trunk is too small. He hops on the phone, calls around and finds a replacement. Still won't fit our needs. Wow, impasse right, nope, he calls the garage, finds a truck which will be acceptable and has them give it an oil change asap. Within the half hour, we have a perfect vehicle, during Covid era, squeaky clean freshly updated and ready to roll. The five stars is for the compassion, the drive to not fail and his ability to troubleshoot on the fly. While I am angry at Enterprise, I will go back to Cory. But next time I will call two days ahead to ensure the vehicle is there!

I rented a car here after booking a cabin in Shenandoah which required 4WD to access. NextCar…read moreseemed to have the best price and was the closest location for pickup.  Upon arrival, they needed proof of my insurance since I wasn't using theirs which wasn't something they told me I needed to provide. I've rented cars many times through other providers and have never needed that documentation on hand. It delayed me quite a bit having to dig up the doc via the Geico app so that was a little frustrating. I told the employee at the counter that I absolutely needed four wheel drive and I confirmed that the vehicle I had booked was the one I was receiving. The vehicle was different but I was assured it was still 4WD. However, once we got toward our destination, I was disappointed to find the car struggling to get up the gravel mountain roads. We were sliding and hydroplaning and it was pretty dicey at times. Definitely not the most relaxing way to start our vacation. We actually ended up having to leave a night early because there was some icy weather coming in and I didn't trust that the car would be safe enough to drive down the mountain. I let the employee know about my concerns once I returned the car but was once again assured that the car was 4WD. It was a Toyota Corolla Cross which is not inherently 4WD and the vehicle had no indication that it was 4WD on the back like cars normally do. I'm not sure if the employee was being truthful or just trying to get one over on me. It's hard to tell. Either way, I wouldn't trust NextCar for my next rental which is disappointing since I do travel quite a bit. It also seems like they have policies which could result in nickel and diming like the $100-$300 cleaning fee for something as simple as mud, which I saw posted on a sign at the counter. Yikes.
