Summary: Disorganized, slow and inattentive service, mediocre food, lacking good leadership. Took a while for anyone to notice our table or the table behind us. The couple behind us actually left before they were ever greeted after waiting for so long. Our waitress, didn't know what juices were served. Then when our food came out, it was incorrect. One of the plates we ordered was machacado. It was actually fajita meat and they confirmed that's what it was supposed to be due to customers not liking actual machacado (so change the name folks or take it off the menu!). We had to request refills and tables around us were dirty and the line at the cash box was very long and customers were waiting upward of several minutes just to pay. Once we made our way to the cashier to pay, our bill was incorrect and we were over charged. Horrible first, and definitely last, experience. Too many better options to waste another two hours on mediocre food with even worse service. read more

Well after like 3 years I decided to give this palace another go. Even more disappointing this time unfortunately. The food was good, but portion size was tiny. Who has ever left a Mexican restaurant still being hungry afterward??? We had to stop and grab a snack on the way back to work because we were both still hungry. Salsa comes in tiny bowl and good luck getting them to come refill it. We got our food and the waitress never came back to refill drinks or salsa or just to check on anything. Service was just bad. Overall the food was good, and we will definitely be back. But I was not blown away. We walked in and there were several open tables, but they were all dirty. We finally told someone we were wanting a table and they cleaned one off and then forgot about us. Two families sat 10 minutes after us and had drinks and salsa out before we even flagged down a waitress. Finally got our drink orders and was told she would be back with salsa. Several minutes later she came back with drinks and no salsa. We reminded her again and still never got salsa until another waitress brought our food and we asked for salsa again. They really weren't that busy, but we were told they had just had a huge rush before we had shown up. Like I said, we will definitely be back and I am curious to try their enchiladas. Amazing breakfast spot, especially with their daily specials it's an amazing deal for what you get. Ordered the migas special and I couldn't have been happier with it. Eggs scrambled in tortilla chips, peppers, tomatoes, and cheese, seasoned potatoes, refried beans, 2 crispy strips of bacon, salsa and flour tortillas for $4.99?!? All of it was downright delicious. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! Myself and 2 friends went to Sierras for the first time in January 2019. I ordered a potato and egg taco and a barbacoa taco-barbacoa is usually my taco of choice when I eat a breakfast taco. Their barbacoa taco was horrible. Its taste was simply nasty, but what was worse was it had gel like substance that popped in your mouth and it freaked me out. I spit my first and only bite discreetly into a napkin. I informed the waitress and she took it away. But when we went to pay they refused to take it off the bill. The waitress said it is their policy, if you ate it, we charge you. I informed her, I did not eat it, and the one small bite I took was in the napkin. She insisted I pay for the taco and I chose to do so for the sake of my visit with friends and keeping a low profile in this public setting. So we politely paid our bill but sat there for a few minutes visiting and finishing our coffee. The manager then came up to our table and said they only allowed people to visit a few minutes after they finish their meal and she asked us to leave. I assume they were offended that we didn't leave a tip-which I generally leave 25% or more, especially if they went out of their way. I could understand asking to leave if their were customers waiting, but half the restaurant was empty. The restaurant management, & crew were also disorganized, unprofessional and completely unreasonable. I am a very respectful person, as I have owned my own business for many years, but this business is one of the worse I have ever seen. I highly recommend not ever going to this restaurant. Sierra's is the best Mexican place in Georgetown. I always get their lunch special, it's always filling and inexpensive. My boyfriend's favorite is the mole, and even though I don't usually like mole, Sierra's definitely has the most authentic tasting. I got the fajita beef nachos, and they were pretty good - not stand-out amazing, but good. I also tried the crunchy beef taco and the beef tostada, both exceptional and very fresh. I don't get it. I heard great things about Sierra's and was disappointed. I went for lunch and I've only been once so maybe I'll go back and give them another shot but the food was ok. I felt like we were eating in the back of a food truck. The tables weren't all stable, the chairs where cheap and it just seemed like a cheap dive with ok food. It's packed on the weekends for breakfast which I've heard they have amazing breakfast. So I'll give them a shot someday for breakfast but so far I'm not impressed. read more

The only complaint I have is that they charge for chips and they don't have fountain drinks. But those things are MINOR this place is WONDERFUL and I highly recommend it!!!! Asked for more salsa and they walked past me with the container of it and did not comeback to the table (never brought more tea, got chippy chips - no full tortilla chips). Granted I was there with my daughter (maybe b/c 2 women? (IDK)), the lady at front had a pony tail, older (50+) and basically snarled at us, and never came back to our table. What a great place for a great breakfast or lunch a la Mexicana! The food is great, the people are as efficient and as pleasant as you could ever hope for! The only way it could be better would be to stay open for evening meals. They serve an unusually wide variety of breakfast options, and you don't have a long wait to be served. What's not to like?
