But then I read through and seen it's from Karen's that are wanting to be entitled and probably call Taco Bell real Mexican food. Lames! There's bad service, and then there's busy service. Poor service, bland food, decent portion sizes. Lacking in flavor, but not in portion size at least for the higher price for such a small town place. The sauces that they left at the table that seemed to come with the lunch meals were the best part. One was spicy and one was tame but was flavorful. I got the Migas plate and my two friends got lunch chicken tacos. My refried beans had no taste at all not even salt and the rest of the dish was just as bad. The potato's were still hard and raw. All of out tortillas (mine corn and their's flour) were chewy. It started out a busier morning, but as we ordered it started to clear up, but our waitress only visited us once. Most of the waitstaff and busboys were behind a drink station area next to the bar all chatting amongst themselves and on their phones most of the time we were there. We waited around for her to come back and I eventually went to the bar to get our checks so we could finally leave and our waitress then left the station and went to another table completely ignoring that we were at the bar trying to close out. Safe to say we won't be back when there are so many other more authentic Mexican restaurants around. read more

We went yesterday and it was awful. To start, the chicken fajita plates is not chicken breast anymore. Is a mixture with dark meat and it wasn't good. I also think you need a manager cause from 20 servers there only 2 were working; everyone else were sitting in the back chillin there while people were waiting for drinks. We stopped by Mariachis for dinner at the invitation of a relative. They accommodated our party of 11 and the staff was friendly. We ordered Queso, Cheese Enchiladas, Beef Chimichanga, Mini Tacos Mexicano, and Chicken Quesadillas in addition to other entrees. The service was a bit slow but once the food arrived we were very pleased with the results. The Cheese Enchiladas tasted authentic and good. The Mini Tacos were nice with the addition of onions and lime. The Chicken Quesadillas were flavorful and properly grilled and the combo of guacamole, sour cream, rice and beans were a great addition to dip the quesadillas in. The Chimichanga with beef was good and juicy. A friend of ours got the chicken chimichanga and said the chicken was a bit dry but a decent meal. Overall, this was a really good meal and we would visit again. read more

Stopped to eat here since it was the only restaurant open at 1000 for a Sunday morning after church breakfast/brunch. The place was busy with a 20 minute wait. It was worth the wait. Had the chorizo, egg, and cactus (napales) breakfast plate and it was very tasty. I was happy with the amount of food for a very reasonable price. Service was good for as busy as it was. Mariachis serves my favorites chicken enchiladas verde. They are the best in town. They also have some good breakfast choices. My husband's favorite is the grilled pork chop with eggs. The service is usually speedy and efficient. The boxed cinnamon cookies they sell up near the check out are a good snack to have on hand. read more

Big time customer of Mariachis on Georgetown so going thru Taylor we thought we would try this location. Bad idea this place is terrible ordered drinks and after 10 minutes some one finally brought them to us. Mario our waiter really didn't care said internet was down though he still finally placed our order over his pad. Seven tables and he said the kitchen was backed up. I came in on a Friday evening to check this place out and munch on some chips and salsa. How do you stop eating chips and salsa? Still trying to figure that out. The chips came out and the salsa. I really liked the salsa since it had a flavor and a nice slight kick to it. Yum! The restaurant is located in a strip mall near Bealls's and Jack in the Box. It looked packed from the parking lot, but the restaurant was not packed where you had to wait to be seated. Nice and roomy inside. I knew I was going to go overboard on chips so I ordered an appetizer. I know, I know! Why in the world would I order chicken wings at a Mexican restaurant? Well...it happened. I ordered 6 buffalo wings and it came out with celery and carrots. No ranch. If you like ranch, be sure to ask them for it. I was ok without it. The wings had good flavor and were decent. No complaints. Service: the server was nice, but not sure if she was just busy or not. She came by to check in on her tables but didn't check up on us. Not many options in town, and we have tried a few...and this place is much better then the others. Located in a strip mall this place is quit large inside compared to what you see when you walk up. Lots of locals seam to hang out there, and service was good. As always...Chips, Salsa and a large queso to start. Salsa had a bit of a kick and a couple scoops in the queso was the perfect addition. Wife went with the Beef Chiladas double rice. Red sauce was your standard Gravy...Beef had flavor and rice was fluffy...Best part on both was the "burnt" cheese on top...a good sign they have a Salamander Broiler in the kitchen. Chicken for me, and they use whole bird...which is so flavorful and the green sauce hit the spot...The charros were great. We Both left with full bellies...Great bang for your buck...Being that we really enjoy the drive from Manor to Taylor, we will be back. read more

They charged me dinner price for a lunch special because I ordered 5 minutes before 11am. The waitress said not to worry. You can't make this up. The manager would not make it right. If I could post 0 stars I would. Me & my family WERE regulars here. Do not order to go because they will take forever. They took over a hour for 5 breakfast plates. They forgot 2 of the plates and said they didn't hear or charge me for them also forgot ranchero sauce so 2 of my kids were at home with no plates. I asked them to make the plates again that was taking forever so I just cancelled and when I went to resolve with the manager she was VERY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL. The last couple of times I've come here I have ordered their menudo which comes with fluffy, homemade flour tortillas and a generous side of limes, cilantro, onion and jalapeno.
