Barb was super helpful with mine and my husbands rental. She returned our phone call right away when we had an inquiry about a unit available. She was ready and available to assist us. Barbara incorporated my husbands military discount and was very thorough with the unit, fees, discounts and payments. Highly recommend! read more

Sierra Storage - Barbara being great! - Self Storage Near Me - Merced, California

Horrible service. Two employees told my wife to come fill out paperwork, then another employee turned her away. I am a previous client and military veteran which they are familiar with and rented a parking space for almost one year. I called and spoke to Barbara, who told me they had one parking spot left. I told Barbara I work during the day and cannot drive down during business hours. She told me to have my wife come down to fill out the paperwork. When my wife arrived; and mind you - CA is a community property state - the GM, without checking ANY REGISTRATION said that my wife cannot sign the paperwork because the title is in my name. We drove 12 miles there and back at their direction, and all we got was a person who said they were the GM rudely and forcefully tell us "Sorry for your frustration." And then blame it on BARBARA - their BEST employee that consistently gets FIVE STARS. Perhaps SHE should be the GM. Make sure Barbara is there - or you may get BAD service, or someone that is not familiar with the customers lose business for their unit. read more

Barbara is a great employee. I wish I'd had her working for me when I was managing. She's bright and sunny, very helpful, and a real pleasure to do business with. Her customer service is A1. Thanks, Barbara for all your help. Oh, and we made it to KY with only one issue, a blowout, but that was resolved in 1.5 hrs from first phone call. read more

We've had our RV stored here for years with no issues. Security is great and the staff is amazing! The lot is paved and always clean and neat. We highly recommend Sierra Storage for your RV or boat storage. read more

The worst place to reserve a U-Haul at with unprofessional staff on the phones. Go elsewhere.

This sierra self storage doesn't go by ads online of being cheaper. Online deals where 40 dollars. Then you go in and its 75. That's bs. Then you click on there website says error. Sends you to Modesto mini storage which is not the same then you find sierra self storage north and south merced. Another error comes up. False advertising and a scam. read more

Very nice storage place. It has a security gate and the managers live on the premises, so I feel my stuff is safe there, They are very friendly!! Evelyn is a sweet heart, and I feel comfortable talking to her and we hit it off right away. I've never acquired any problems at all .. moving in was simple and so is moving out . read more

Horrible customer service. They are never opened! So I decided to call before going. A guy picks up and says they're opened until 6p. I tell him I'm on my way. I get to the storage and guess what?! Not opened. Sign says be back in an hour. One of the employee told me that if I write a review on yelp of the storage and take a screenshot of it, she'll deduct $10 off my rent. Well here's the review. She never said it had to be a good review. read more

The previous reviews for this place are ridiculously inaccurate.. the security is good here especially considering the park (more pointedly the mutants that dwell there) is a stones throw away. But management does their work well and shouldn't be expected to bend over backwards for customers that have outrageous demands/expectations. I would recommend this place to anyone.. good rates that stay low.. nothing hidden, you get what you pay for. read more

This is the worst place ever do not rent here they have accussed me of theif and i worked for them fixing there roll up door the general manager jessica needs to grow up and act like a real gm. There cameras dont work they wrongly accuse people then overlock my unit even though were paid up. My wife is the one who rented this so even though my name is on the access to the unit on the lease they will not let me into the unit only because they have started there eviction process will not let me in. They accussed and charged me 35 dollars 3 times in a row and blame the reason for this eviction was just that. We called the general manager to be let out the gate and because she never showed up our car was looked inside til morning because they lock all the gates with a padlock and theres a spike fence that is against ca. code so once your locked in you cant get out and if you aint got a cell phone your in there for the night. Things like a pop up tent were stolen for here and Rv batteries. They also changed the date of payment on there computer to show you didnt pay but yet you stil have access through the gate just not your unit.the GM TREATS there employees like there puppets. Whether right or wrong situtions and there property manager joe accused me of taken property that i never even touch. DO NOT RENT HERE. I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE HEALTH DEPT. FOR BLACK MOLD IN THE WALLS OF THERE FACILITY AND STARTING MY LAWSUIT DONT FALL FOR THIS SHIT. read more

Two times I have had the batteries stolen from my trailer which is stored here. Of course their security cameras showed nothing. The second time this happened I went to check my trailer and noticed the battery cables had been cut so I went to the office to talk to someone and no one was there. However the walk in gate was wide open allowing anyone to walk into the place and do whatever they wanted. The so called manager had left the property to run errands and it is their policy to leave the walk in gate WIDE open during business hours even when there is no one in the office to monitor who comes and goes. Now mind you this place requires a code to drive in and out. Has chain link fence around the entire property with barbwire on top of it and security cameras giving it the appearance of some type of security. It is not secure in anyway shape of form if they leave the gate open and no one there to monitor it. It has cost me over $200 this time to replace the batteries and repair the damage. When I complained to the so called district manager I asked for a few months free rent to cover my loss which is reasonable right? Oh she was going to give me a whole %15 off my next months rent. See you in court was my only response. read more

minus ten - avoid this storage facility - managers are rude, lie and cheat. I have three other storage units at several different places and the management at these are EXCELLENT. I was shocked at the way I was treated, the language they used with me and those helping me move (professional movers who were also shocked). There are lots of other good places in the Merced area, interview and compare and stay away from this one. read more

My storage unit was broken into. They clam not to see anything on camera. When there was two camera around my unit and another on the way out. With a on site manger there and our unit was still broken into. He fool of shit claiming he go around and check all the lock on each unit. But never seen our lock was cut off on my unit. The MERCED sheriffs that took my report say this is not the first time it happen. Same story with other customer of this place. They cut off your lock and replace it with one of their. So they can keep on coming back to clean you out. If you to ask me its properly their on site manger. Never have any problem before until their management switch. They lie to get to to come in with their banners. They clam to have working camera and alarm for each unit. Then why is their customer unit is still been broken into with a manger on site that live there. Would he have heard the alarm goes off if some one trying to open anther unit or see it on their camera. Anyways use this place if you want your stuff stolen. Recommend somewhere else. read more
