He…read moreresponded very promptly to my inquiry, and took the time both over the phone and in person to explain his process. On top of that, his knowledge and expertise were very evident. For our quote, he very thoroughly walked through our house and answered all our questions. It really helped us understand what to look out for, and how to keep our floors in good condition for the future. Not only did he do a great job refinishing the floors (see before and after photos below), he also removed a bunch of squeaks from our floors -- we didn't even know that was possible! The last thing I'll say is that Dale is an incredibly fair vendor -- we originally reached out to him for a full sanding and refinishing of our floors, thinking that was the best way to protect them long term. He took a look, told us they were in pretty good shape, and that he'd recommend a lighter refresh and seal instead -- a service that would be faster, cost us less, and would still protect our floors for the same amount of time as a full refinish. We'd highly recommend him for all your refinishing needs. Thanks again, Dale!

He patiently took the time to show us items that we both liked and came to an agreement on. After 6 months, I can now enjoy our fantastic new flooring! And I get my weekends back :) Thank you Chris, for all your help and hard work! And thanks to The Florring Store for the service, product, and installation!! I can recommend The Florring Store 100%.

Being told that our floor would be fully installed in 4-5 days max, then my 4 month old baby, my wife and myself were displaced from our home for 19 days is only of the many issues we had to deal with. Some of my wives small delicate figurines we're broken when a shelf was dropped, a large plant dropped in our living room and the soil was thrown into our kitchen sink (sink will not drain, see pictures below). Half way through the job, the installers were sent to another job for allegedly for a day or two to finish up another job but ended up being 3 days. My wife and the installation supervisor Tony had multiple conversations about potential job timeline completion, and after speaking to the sales agent at The Floor Store (Gio) about conversations about Tony and his potential end date for our house, turns out Tony told the sales agent that he never had those conversations with my wife. Yes, essentially calling my wife a liar. After a week of situating ourselves back into our home, only to try and do dishes in our soil clogged sink, I can't justify leaving more than 1 star on this review, even if the floor is really, really nice!

Tom's did the floors in my unit a few weeks ago. Here are my thoughts:…read more Pros: - Communication: Generally very prompt communication. I wish I got more updates during construction but they sent them whenever I asked. I liked that they were very contentious about talking with my neighbor when their van was blocking a little bit of their driveway--a lot of contractors wouldn't bother. I also had another neighbor who was causing some issues and they kept me in the loop, which I appreciated. - Price: I talked to several contractors and their price was pretty reasonable--not the lowest nor the highest, more in the middle. Cons: - After construction, I noticed some damage on parts that were supposed to be protected. They were minor damages, but annoying. The most noticeable one was a dent on my TV, which left a white dot that I see every time I turn on my TV, which sucks. - In terms of details, I noticed that there were some dings in pretty noticeable parts of the wood. I don't know if it was the crew or the wood came like that, but when I was testing a wood sample before purchasing, I hit the wood with a hammer and it didn't leave a mark, so it would take a lot of force to leave a dent like the one pictured. Kinda disappointing because the dent is smack in the middle of a high traffic area. Some last notes: - David came by to do a final walk through and helped me move some of the heavier furniture back. It didn't bother me but if you're expecting furniture to be put back the way it was originally, you'll want to manage your expectations. - You should definitely hire painters and cleaners after the construction--I didn't think the walls were going to be as scuffed up as they were. And everything will be superrrr dusty, even if it's covered. - When I expressed concern about not all baseboards being replaced, which I thought was the scope of work, he explained that he told his crew to use existing baseboards when possible. He said he did this to save me some cost and offered me $150 to cover the savings. I generally feel positive about this, although if I hadn't mentioned it I don't think it would've come up, so take that for what it's worth.
